Warbonnet Thunderfly Tarp ,First Look

The Warbonnet Thunderfly tarp, 20d silpoly. 13.4 ounces. This along with my Warbonnet Cloudburst has me covered ! Not needing full doors on my tarps, I'm glad Warbonnet has these tarp options. I looked at dyneema tarps long and hard. I am not a long distance hiker, and on canoe trips, portages are rarely more than a mile. And the fact that I really only sleep under a tarp maybe 20 or so nights year. It just didn't make sense to pay for dyneema. And one of the drawbacks to me personally is that silpoly compresses down way more than dyneema, space in my pack or dry bag to me is more important than just weight. And compared to the Hammock Gear standard dyneema tarp with doors, the Thunderfly is only 6.12 once heavier ! Cheers !
