I found out by accident that my 2019 rav4 has one. Made my day! I can't figure out how to turn it off though. 3 presses of the remote didn't do it, neither did the unlock/lock combo.
Press unlock. That should do it

Hi Steve. Tried the remote start but didn't work (Camry) . Is it just a matter of it has it or it doesn't or is it a option that can be setup by the dealer? Very informative videos.
It has it or not. It depends on the audio system you have but telling you this way is an easier explanation
How about on the Kia? I'm curious if it may have got installed after the fact. I bought a used Kia and there was paperwork inside of it that indicated it had remote start but they only gave me one key fob with the car which I would think they should have gave me two. Maybe the other one had that feature on it? I don't know. Trying to figure out how I would find out if the old owner installed the remote start
Maybe they gave you a key with the feature but a car without it
My new Australian gen4 Kluger (Highlander) Hybrid will be delivered next month. This will be one of the first things I'll try. The specs don't mention the feature, but you never know. I'll let report back in case any other Aussies are watching.

@@stevenwelchtoyota Sorry, my answer is a long time overdue. The Aussie Kluger does NOT have Remote Start. Toyota are in catch-up mode in so many models in Australia. And don't get me talking about Toyota EVs.

Hi… I tried to read comments to see if someone mentioned my car make. I have a 2017 Chevy Cruze and had the My Chevrolet App. After 5 years my remote start stopped working and the dealer said that now I had to buy a subscription for it to continue to remote start. I have the circle on my fob and I’ve tried several different combinations and can’t get it to work. Can you tell me how or do I in fact have to pay OnStar for it to continue working. TIA

I bought 2020 Lexus in May 2023 and asked that a remote starter be added. They tried to get me to get the starter app for my phone and I said no. I didn’t want another paid subscription.
I used the starter for the first time yesterday because it was so cold, but it didn’t start the car, it set off the alarm. I found your video today and my key FOB started it as you explained. So I spent over $700 for an additional fob starter that I apparently didn’t need 😡

The remote start on our 20 rav4 is hit and miss sometimes it starts sometimes it doesn't.

Usually the chirp is due to the car seeing the key fob getting out of the vehicle while its turned on

It has power door locks but came with no key fobs , any idea what my best option would be to get remote start ?
Probably you will have to get a system that has a fob with it for the start

I own an 08 Jeep Liberty Sport and the keyfob has the circle button with the 2x on it but it doesn't work. It beeps and that is all. Could it be disabled? Thank you for sharing this informative video.
it may not be installed. jeep liked to give the same key for all even of they didnt have it to save money

Is your check engine light on ? If it's on the remote start won't turn on . If the check engine light is on you can get obi reader on Amazon for around 35 bucks plug it into your cars computer to delete that code then it will start. I have a 09 jeep commander and when the check engine light comes on I clear the code and remote start works again until the code comes back usually in a few weeks .

I want to know why would my Toyota venza starts automatically on its own? It was late in the night when I woke up, only to hear my car starts by itself without me having to pick the keys. I had to go outside and check it was actually mine. I went inside and press the lock/unlock key and the engine shuts down after a while.

I just bought a slightly used 2016 Toyota Highlander Limited AWD Platinum and was told it had remote start. My question is why doesn’t this,, or anything, seem to work in getting it to work? Does the key fob need programmed?
it could have a aftermarket system in it. this is for the factory system. i have seen some that have a separate key fob for the remote start.
