The quality, energy, and freshness of this game honestly surprised me so much. My expectations were pretty high but they were somehow broken! One of the greatest 2D platformers ever!!!
Before I got this game the week it was coming out, my grandpa passed away a day before my 21st birthday on the 17th, which honestly made my birthday not so happy for me, but I decided to finally preorder this game, with my mom giving me half of the cost to put down for it, and I got it at a midnight release event at GameStop, and when i got home, i played this next to my mom, and listening to this song as well as the singing piranha plants level made me feel the right amount of joy after the week I endured, i played this with a best friend and had so much fun and gave me a great amount of happiness, and as of today I finally beat this game 100%, thank you Nintendo for helping me get through dark times with this wonderful experience, no pun intended. ❤️

This will become so nostalgic, I am calling it. I remember being so hyped for this game was announced, so polished, innovative, the first non "new" 2d Mario game since the Gameboy. All the badges are super cool, Piranha Plant Parade is a masterpiece, and the Wonder effect is so fun. This is something we haven't even been close to ever seeing in any other 2d Mario game.
Already is for me. It reminds me why I love video game music in the first place. As a kid I recorded countless cassette tapes with music from my favorite games. You just can't find anything like it in any other medium.

Haven't played the game yet but listening to this during the orchestra section of the Game Awards 2023 was the highlight of the event. Pure Nintendo magic all around.
I think of this song as you being on the border of the mushroom and flower kingdom. The previous games, taking place in the mushroom kingdom, having the bah's and such. While the flower kingdom having a unique style of music. So this first level is a combination of both the old and the new styles of music before leaving it behind as you travel away from the border and deeper in this new kingdom.
I simply cannot compare Galaxy to Wonder music-wise, they both have such distinct soundtracks filled to the brim with personality that it's like comparing chocolate vs strawberry milk, they're both masterful adaptations of the original.
This theme(and everything else about this game) really does make you feel like you just entered a new generation, even tho it’s just the same console since 2017.

I'm 100% confident that Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Nintendo itself will keep the legacy of New Super Mario Bros games and this game will be remembered atleast by this generation of kids just like all 2D mario games out there.
This game feels like a a beautiful transition into Nintendo playing around with the games more, and a beautiful goodbye to the old Mario voice actor. The graphics are on point, the new power ups are great, and I love the idea of the badges!

I think it's because it is the World 1 level theme, so it wouldn't play in any other worlds.
The leifmotiv of this song can actually be heared in another songs tho

It’s played a lot or at least the melody is, I think the canyon part of world one has it, and the athletic theme is just this but faster paced
The transition into the elephant version was pretty smooth
With super mario world being my first game, this sparked those same wonderous feelings that world gave me all those years ago.
