Have kept elephant nose, wanted to know does elephant nose fish also need transparent tube as i have kept transparent glass which is one side open and closed from other side. Will it be ok keep or this really needs a tube to hide
Nice black ghosknife man I'm holding mine in a45gallon long I have some tiger Barb's and some rainbow sharks with him and he does really good with fish, but it is a possibility to get to 20inches long but the average would be About 16inches long my black ghosknife is 13inches very good pet
I feed it a variety of frozen foods- bloodworms, freshwater carnivore diet, occasionally brine shrimp or mysis shrimp. I will also feed a variety of cichlid pellets and tilapia food. Variety is key.
Just because he has algea doesn't mean the water quality is bad. Considering the fish is still alive, the quality is probably good. Algea is only an aesthetic issue. It is actually good for the water and the fish.
I got myself a baby ghost knife fish not knowing enough about them. Had a look online for more info about them, it's had been the best. Thank you
That is the most gorgeous fish. I never knew they got so big or had so much personality! I love them. Thank you for this video :D
This is my favorite freshwater fish. And the nice is that they are so easy to care for.
Thank you. The black ghost knife is definitely my favorite of the easily available freshwater fish.
They can get upto 2ft hahah, if you getting one they defs need hiding places, they do not like light so much...
Nice
Great footage
Thank you so much
I love my BGK, he is called Sir Graeme!❤️🥰

Awesome fish I have got a baby one love watching it when it comes out to eat,
They never get boring. They are always doing acrobatics and exploring.
@@IndoorGardeningAndAquaponics The biggest black ghost knife fish and elephantnoise fish are my favorite!!! I love mormyridae and gymnotidae families
Nice footage man
Awesome! Now that I see the beauty of yours, I'm going to get a baby one for my 55
You won't be disappointed. They are a fish you never get tired of watching.
You will also need to get a much bigger tank, a 55 is way to small, at least a 90
I can’t wait to get one of these guys. I’ve got a Saratoga/arowana tank. This guy will make a great addition.
Be carful man arowana don't get along with certain fish
I was wondering where my neons where going 😀
@amy p Do u think the ghost fish will stay small if I put in a small tank....plz answer if u know?
@@Krishnapriya1 nope
I think airstones can reduce the blue green algae
I love ghost knife fish before unfortunately my fish died.. and I'm thinking if should buy again...

Carla Sanchez is that ok to have a Black ghost in a 180-170 liter?
@@marcusjuuljohansen6917 no you fool
What’s the one that looks like a snakehead? The small silver one
Are you thinking of the one that enters at 2:42? I think that's a bichir.
polypterus
Bro will my ghost knife stay small if I keep it in small tank ..... Could u please answer if u know?
That’s called stunting your fish. Please don’t get the fish if you can’t house it in an appropriately sized aquarium. It’s cruel for the animal
no it will outgrow the tank. you will need 30%water changes weekly.
Wow that algae is out of control
M. N. The video is about the fish not the algae
I went to your page and cannot find it! So where is the Indoor Gardening And Aquaponics videos? Did you stop doing them?
I don't know what happened why you can't find them. They are there.
I wonder if they would get along with the Bichir?
Justin R Varga That Bichir will shred the ghost knife
Lord Vader, no it won’t. Bichirs aren’t aggressive fish, they just eat whatever fits in their mouth. The ghost knife shouldn’t fit in a bichirs mouth
Unless the bichir is simply larger than the ghost knife, than simply don’t put them together
Looks like theres a bichir in there
another answer is they both occupy the bottom area of the tank, which can be bad. they should be in separate tanks for this reason.
What kind of food you feed it?
I feed it a variety of frozen foods- bloodworms, freshwater carnivore diet, occasionally brine shrimp or mysis shrimp. I will also feed a variety of cichlid pellets and tilapia food. Variety is key.
Indoor Gardening And Aquaponics thank you^ ^
Size of this tank?
This is only a 55 gallon. This fish will be transferred to 125 soon.
It's a 55 gallon. The fish needs to be put in at least a 125 gallon at this size.
@@IndoorGardeningAndAquaponics yuh i think at full size they need around 350 gallon ?🤔
even went i put one finger in my bgkf tank he gets scraced back in he cave
Does it have teeth ?
Nothing large. None that can be seen.
@@IndoorGardeningAndAquaponics i see a number of small teeth in the mouth of one i have. looks like it could give a good pinch if it got you.
I have 3 ghost knifeish (10 inches) for total xd
sharky guy how old are they?
They don’t fight eachother??
@@StrikeFighterExperience i think if u introduce them to each other at quite a young age they deal w each other's presence
Water quality? Seems to be out of control here. Sad tank
