I agree...very helpful review. A nice monitor and the Samsung screen is a plus. As budget monitors go for gaming, this one is hard to pass up.

@@Name-mi7bx it’s actually really good the colours can be a bit off depending on when setting you set it to and the 1080p can look a bit weird if your close to your monitor but, if your looking for a nice monitor get this one

Umm... your screen is locked at 60hz (the screen menu told us so), you need to go to the displays settings > advanced > increase it to 165hz.
DO THIS FOR EVERY MONITOR because they default to 30 to 60.

Great video thx. i buyed this monitor both for play and edition and now after watching this video i'm a little bit affraid for Photoshop editing. Is there any way to configure colors for making it more ralistic for photo editing?
Unfortunately, there really isn't much that can be done to get better colors for editing. You can adjust settings but it is capped a certain level of RGB accuracy.

Maybe because your wallpaper is not fix to the monitor normal size that monitor is about 2560 x 1440 (WQHD)

thank you for the video, i have a question about the cable, does it come with hdmi or DP? if hdmi what version of it?
Yea it comes with just a standard type A hdmi.
to take advantage of all 165hz you will need to purchase a DP cable though. keep this in mind, most hdmi cables limit you to 120hz

That's a great question, I'm not sure. I believe the built in settings should still work just fine, I don't see why it wouldn't.

@@MaisonKnell I would suggest buying an one gaming monitor with tn panel144hz then one ips panel that has better viewing angels and color accuracy for watching content or etc unless you need 2 gaming monitors

I only got an hdmi cable and that will only work til 120hz. Im cofnused did you get a dp cable with it
Yea, I only got a HDMI with it, had to go buy the Display Port Cable. It maxes out at 120hz when using a HDMI
does the hdmi cable that's included only support up to 120hz? in the video you mention it can go up to 144hz.
I'm using a 21 inch monitor right now and im thinking of getting this. I do want to use this monitor as a second one but do you think having a different size second monitor would look weird?
I think depending on the set-up it could look a little funny since there is a large difference in size. I think it would work just fine but might just look a little funny.

you forgot to mention the g32c4 is wide color gamut....i just bought one from visions for 309 cad or 220usd and its freeking amazing....easily the best 1080p monitor

I bought two of these. I’m liking them. I haven’t set them to 165 yet, but im only just getting the display port cables.
One issue I’m having though is now when I’m editing in sony vegas, if I go from Sony Vegas to Chrome, youtube crashes and says “audio renderer failure, please restart your computer” and I’ve tried a few troubleshooting steps based on what others have said but no luck. You get that issue? I’m hoping maybe when i’m done rendering a video, I’ll set it to 165 Hz and maybe that will fix it, but I doubt it.
Interesting problem, I've never had that problem. To be fair I don't use Sony Vegas so that has never occurred to me. It only happens with these monitors? I'd say give the Display port cables a shot, maybe the HDMI cables are being given to much info and failing. I'm really not sure, I apologize.

why i see only 60hz on my screen ? where is 165Hz ?
You probably need to change the settings on your actual computer. Right click on the home screen, look through display settings, something is probably locking the frames
If you have Nvidia, you have to go into the Nvidia settings, create a custom resolution profile with 165hz and then select and apply the profile.

Shah Ji the highest Xbox can get to is 60 you would have to get a pc to get higher than 60 such as 144, 165

Yea, I think that it is pretty standard for the HDMI cables to be capped at 144 hz. sometimes after the holidays you can get some open box display cables at best buy for pretty cheap, which allows for the 165 hz and in other monitors even higher.

you might try making the colors warmer on the settings, and no there isn't sound.
to get the better quality out of the monitor you will need a Display port connection
Few questions. Is this monitor height adjustable? Also, would you recommend this for the PS5? Does the curve affect your comfort level, is it annoying as compared to a straight monitor and how does display pictures look like on games as compared to a 1080p tv
No, the monitor is not height adjustable.
Would you get this monitor or the msi mag24c if they were the same price
At the same price, they have many similar features, you lose a couple frames but nothing you would really notice, the size is a tiny bit smaller going from 27 to 24, that's something you have to decide for yourself if you like. But really your upgrading the screen from LCD to LED, so personally I'd say go for it.

Hey man great video I was looking into getting a new gaming monitor for my pc! I was wondering if you would recommend this one for that. From your video it looks great but i'm just curious if there is any reason why not to get this. my current graphics card is a gtx 970 so it may not get a solid 144hz refresh rate. But I am also looking to upgrade that in the near future. Please let me know whatchu think.
The only reason I would not recommend it is if you were going to be upgrading to a super high-end graphics card where you might want a 1440 or 4k panel, but if you're going with something like the 2060 super- 5700xt route or slightly above I would say that this monitor is a great choice.
Behind The Build have you noticed any ghosting when gaming? Just curious and are the pixels that noticeable I know many people say playing 1080p on more than 24 inches is crazy but let me know finding the right monitor is so hard. Appreciate all your help
No I totally get it, I haven't noticed anything like ghosting. It is a tough choice, there are so many options, I like the 27 inch monitors, but I understand the argument for 24 inch monitors, it really comes down to preference.

I just plug both into the gpu. Then do everything In the standard screen settings.

I have had this same monitor for 2 years it looks like crap unless u put it in the racing mode makes games and everything look so much better about 2 get a second 1 for a duel setup
Honestly i just bought the monitor and unfortunately i am very disappointed. I have a lg27 4k 60hz hooked up next to it...and first of all the colors suck...like i live in a basement no sunlight....and the moniter is just dull...now yes the 144hz is super smooth and that feels great...but then i look next to me and i got this blast of light and colors coming off my other monitor and it really makes me regret my purchase. For me as i only play mostly World of Warcraft...color and brightness is a big deal.

Doesn't make a big difference.. 165hz is more a marketing thing. From 60 to 144hz is a big jump, from 144 to 165.. You'll barely notice that.
Do you still recommend this monitor? Any problems about it?

Most games are still capped out at 60fps like for example apex legends and I think assassins creed Valhalla runs at 30 FPS but maybe 60 I’m not sure, but I would still get this monitor to play the games that will run at 120 FPS just don’t expect all of the games to run at 120 FPS. Or you can spend a few more dollars for a 4K/60hz monitor depending on how much more expensive they are

Hello i just bought this monitor. And was wondering which kind of DP i need my laptop has no DP port on it only looks like it has USB- C on it. Its stuck at 60hz.
Yea, you would need some kind of display port to (other cable adapter) but it might lock it to the 60hz. I'm not sure of any work around without the details.
It won’t be 144 hz right away, you need to set it up on your nvdia panel into 144 hz, and use an hdmi to display port connector if your laptop doesn’t have a display port.

@@Jakwob888 you're good, thanks for asking. Its where the monitor has a trailing effect, so something might move on the screen but you can see a "ghost" image that is right behind it, essentially the screen can't keep up and the image blurs

I didn't test it, but in theory there shouldn't be a problem as it is just using the HDMI to feed the image and it has its own power source. You should be fine.
