Very True! I think Rock is Dead is now the new "This isn't Rock" Instead of now hearing something and dismissing it's validity the older generation are not even saying that the new Rock coming out is Rock. I used to be a part of that group until I let go of my pride (which I still try to do everyday) and listen with an open heart. Rock is moving everywhere especially in music like this. I thank God I'm alive to see it in this genreation ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Peace and Love everyone
Gene Simmons is a misogynistic rapey doofus who used to be in a severely overrated band that only gained notoriety through wearing clown makeup. Why would anyone care about his opinion of any current music? ICP has more cred than Kiss, and they suck.
I cannot believe the mixing on this right now, incredible. Also the guitar tone is so sick. Whatever pitch-shifter (and maybe tremolo or fuzz?) Ryan is using on Chores sounds amazing under Seb's saturated accompaniment. Then they swap tones on Termites haha
Yaknow, apon second listen perhaps that wasn’t the most accurate band to reference although some of the guitar tones and spacing reminds me a little. I guess I actually hear more lead stuff similar to Sorority Noise or something like that. Don’t matter though I am enjoying them for what they are. I think the excitement for young and creative rock music was the tie together.
@@Dulcimerist . Never heard of Throwing Muses. I just looked them up , heard a track and also saw list of bands that are similar to TM and Pylon was on it. And yeah your right sounds like them. Listen to "Cool" from Pylon.
@@louiegarcia3951 Pylon is cool! Thanks for mentioning them! I saw they were out of the Athens, Georgia scene that spawned the B-52s and REM. My favorite early Throwing Muses song is "Raise the Roses" - Tanya Donelly sings that one, and she usually only had two songs on each album that she did lead vocals on and wrote. My favorite TM song is another Tanya song called "Not Too Soon" from 1991, which is super polished and commercial. That was the last album she was on, before she left to co-found the Breeders with the Deal sisters, and then left to form her own band, Belly. (I'm a huge Belly fan - Check out "Angel" by Belly, after checking out the first TM song I mentioned.)
@@Dulcimerist I've heard of Belly, like them 4sure . Just Heard TM songs you mentioned , Dope , THE B-52'S !! You just brought back memories , I had their Album "The B-52s" on cassette . AAAAIIIIHHHHH”

@@daveronhertpark7134Thanks for the info bro. Do you know what guitar amps they’re using? I need affordable amp (under 1000 €/$!) that takes pedals well.
@@sovka8394 well, I haven't tried many amps in my life (unfortunately). But one I tried, liked and it seems affordable, it's the Boss Katana 50, sounds good with pedals, clean, and it has built in effects. Another amp I haven't tried but people seem to comment well, it's the Peavey Bandit 112, and some other older cheap Peavey's too.
@@daveronhertpark7134I need something better. I found out that one of their guitarists uses a Roland JC amp. It's not a tube amp, but it has amazing clean sounds. It should serve as a great pedal platform too. Thank you for the recommendation tho!
I believe they use a boss pitch shifter/delay ps2 for the high octave sounds, a zoom multi stomp for the modulation/rev/ delays and a boss blues driver + RAT distortion. All the other pedals I couldn’t figure out
gene simmons from kiss always says rock is dead. i guess he doesnt get out of his mansion and visit the clubs. bands like this prove him wrong!

How would Gene Simmons know, anyway?
there's nothing to prove to a shitty old man

dude the mixing is so good on this. props to Ethan Williams foreal. also this band is killer, hell yeah
hey i know that guy
all hail ethan williams
Yo , that intro on “ chores “ hit a nerve I did not know existed .
This band is filling a title fight sized hole that honestly I’d given up on ever filling again. Termites goes absolutely insane.
Out of curiosity, why title fight?

Maybe a teaspoon of duster in there ;)
This band takes you to a completely other plane of existence. Then they break that fourth wall ever so teasingly. My god, the loving brilliance.

The tape on the dudes guitar cable lol❤

theyre so tight. love to see a band of this caliber come out of pittsburgh
That untitled/ 1st track was like auditory cunnilingus 🫠. Would love to hear more of that fleshed out :)
this is freaking incredible the mixing and how tight everything is live too? criminally underrated!!!!
FLH and their creatively unmistakable sound saved me
the detune distune untune makes so much shimmer
