Wow Diana this video was so much fun to watch, my gosh, it all turned out so gorgeous. I did'nt expect it to work out so well, but it did, and the results are amazing!, i love all the details, and in the end you did find the solution to make it perfect. Thanks for this amazing tutorial. Hugs~Mirjam
Those molds really are incredible Sis! I think you've started a new trend and the next "must have" craft items!!! I'm sure these are already flying out of Nat's store! tfs Hugs, Maggie
Ok, one more time, OMG!!!!! Lol. That is frigging fantastic isnt it!!! But you know what? YOUUUUU are fantastic!!!!! I soooo loved your waste paper with that stuff on it and i would love to do that too for my artiness....OMG, thats so wonderful! Lol. Ok, im nuts, i know.,lol. Thanks so much Di, you have so much patience and YES to me getting some of those moulds too! Here I come Natasha!!!! Lol. Love and hugs Tibby doxoxoxox
Lol! You're so funny Tibs! The molds are amazing, and the waste paper was an incredibly happy accident~~~~~~~~~ :) So happy the resin works with the molds! Yes, you're nuts, but that's part of your charm :) Hope you had fun shopping, lol! Glad you enjoyed the longggggggggggg video, lol! Love & hugs back atcha! xxx d.
Yay! Thanks for doing all the experimenting! Saves us soooo much time. Why didn't anyone write instructions! Lol. You deserve a metal, girl! Tfs, Vicki
Honestly had reservations when you got.the molds, thought they would.be too shallow,.but you proved me wrong. Love.the lace and.especially the.doilies! Absolutely breathtaking. Thanks for.the tutorial, I may try it when I can save.up for.supplies. What.fun and easier than I thought it.would be. Thanks again, Penny
I had reservations too Penny, but so glad I gave the shallow molds a chance! The resin seems expensive, but it really goes a long way for making lots of embellishments! TFW :) Hugs d.
I am amazed at the details in the laces. I think I will have to try this. Do you wash the mold in between uses or just pick the resin excess off? When you paint the molded pieces is there any special process or do all inks or paint work? Love it.
wow sis, you have been busy, love all the molds they are beautiful :) So fun watching you work. I am so hoping the brown paper worked!!!! ok so lets hope the tissue paper works!!!! You know what I love about you sis, is that you don't give up until you find a solution to a problem :) huge hugs Tricia xxxxxx
Wonderful molds and of course after seeing the results on skype I had to have them and went to Nat´s store and bought a few ;) Thanks so much for experimenting and finding the best soultion. TFS. Hugs, Erla
Well I am quite surprised at how well that process using the fondant molds turned out, great job, Diana! I bought 4 molds from Natasha and blamed you (ha!), but she didn't have some of the others that I wanted, like the cameo, so I'll have to keep checking back in her store. On a side note, I really like your sweater!... the flame look on the cuffs is very cool. Thanks for sharing your process!
I'm thrilled with the results from the fondant molds Kim! ~~~~~~~~~ :) I'll take the blame 'cause I know you'll thank me later, lol! Definitely keep checking her store, or message her to see if she's out of the ones you want, or if she just hasn't been able to list them yet! Thanks, re sweater, lol! TFW :) Big Hugs d.
Wow I'm impressed with your process. You gave some fantastic tips. I really love the swan and the last lace molds. Very nice Diana. Sincerely, Elaine Rico
Beautiful work! Thank you for the tutorial. It's very helpful. I've never seen anybody make resin lace before. Thank you for sharing this with us! (I made a prior comment that I deleted because I started typing halfway through the video before even finishing it. Then your video answered my question. Whoops! Silly me.)
Cool so wiping with cc is the answer Yes, yes, you figure that out that taking it out you need to flip the mold upside down! Great! Score!!! You are magical sis! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with NSK molds!!!!!! Hugs
These turned out so nice. Even the ones you say will need some work looks like applique's without the pearls etc. I have the mix, even the one from home depot and a box full of molds and still haven;t played with them. Will have to make time cause these are so nice.
amazing Thanks for the tutorial....beautiful results...what happens if you mix more and add to the existing bits...ie to the center...would it bond to the setting resin...i suppose not...beautiful molds.well worth the effort!
I use two 10ml syringes, one for the resin and one for the hardener. That way I do not get any cross contamination and the syringes can easily be cleaned ready for the next time.
Wonderful tutorial by the way. I really enjoyed it. I do have a question I hope you or someone can answer for me. I purchased some push molds from ebay, thinking they were silicone molds, they were not, they were almost llike a plaster, and white in color. Very tiny, cameos like horse heads, fairies, roses, etc. How on earth if I am using polymer clay or resin would I ever get it out of the mold? I did like your demo on your cameo's and now I know the resin you were using will cure white, I am going to try that. I do have some cameo silicone molds, but there is just so much tiny little detail, I can't figure out how to paint them or work with them. Any help would be appreciated. I am new to resin, so I am looking forward to watching more of your wonderful videos. Thank you so much!
+OrangeTabbyCat Oh gosh! So many uses! Embellishments on boxes, canvases, elements in configuration and shadow boxes! The thin ones are great for all of those too, as well as on cards and in mixed media! TFW :) Hugs d.
Fabulous, you really have "got it" haven't you? Still not tried mine but have been laid up this week, pain as usual, but it got tome more than usual this time so it was/is pain killers++ and sleep it away! l am again so behind on videos etc. Oh well, I guess I will catch up sometime soon, I hope! Love and blessings Sis, June xxx PS think I may have seen this, I remember the phone going? Confused, yep that's me!
I love all of them and I want all of them! Lpl! They are gorgeous! The cameos the swan and those lace resins are beautiful. Where can I buy them? From Natasha?? And you dod amarvelus job Diana! I think there is a scientist in your past somewhere. You love to experiment and it usually works out great for you! Lool! Hugs! Love everything!
The molds really are gorgeous! I put the link to Natasha's store in the video description :) I don't know about scientist, but definitely determined to come up with some kind of result! Don't want to leave anyone hanging, lol! TFW :) Hugs d.
These are just so beautiful. I have always wanted to try resin and I will have to get some soon to try. I had to resubscribe to you as for some reason it is coming up that I'm not subbed to you. Have a lovely weekend, Hugs Jackie x
HI, Thank you for the demo, I love your work. What type of resin are you using. I got easy cast and it takes 24 hrs. I really like to know if there is a resin that cures as fast as the one you are using. Thank you.
+private91205 You're very welcome, and thank you! I use Amazing Casting Resin. It sets up quickly, though the thinner the mold, the longer it takes to cure, but I've never had to wait more than an hour! Sorry for the late reply :( TFW! Hugs d.
That was a wonderful tutorial. I still havent plucked up the courage to start mine but i will. Afterall i got a ton of these moulds now, so cant have them go to waste!,lol. BTW! What is PITA???? No, i couldnt work it out. Lol love and hugs as always my lovely friend. Mwah Tibby xoxoxox
Awwwww, thanks Tibby :) It's totally worth gathering up the courage to go for it! No, you can't let them go to waste, lol! What is PITA? Really?!?!?! lol! Pain in the ... No, not you! That's what it stands for, lmao! Love ya! Huge Hugs xx d.
+Angel Interesting thought Angel! Might have to give that a go on a small portion, but I don't know how it would stay on the surface part with as many passes as need to be made, but then again, maybe won't have to do as many passes if it wipes right off the surface! Fingers crossed it won't react with the resin. Now, where is my release spray? lol! Thanks for the thought and for watching! Hugs d.
sissy if you use a baby wipe dipped in alcohol wrapped on the credit card that might work for cleaning up the edges great tut I love every minute of this sissy, now I want them all, thanks for the enabling LOL Love the heart and the cameos and those doiles are just gorgeous!
I tried the baby wipe sissy, but not with alcohol! Will give that a go, but wiping the card after each swipe seemed to work! Blame the enabling on Nat! She started it when she showed them to me, lol! TFW :) Big Hugs (and Happy Birthday!) xx d.
Sorry if this is already answered, but how do you apply the resin to the lace molds that the back is so nice and clean, with all the holes? Do you use a scraper of some kind?
I buy Amazing Casting Resin from Amazon. I did a couple of videos on coloring the resin a while back. Here's the link to the one with my coloring tests: ruclips.net/video/tY9H563LsLs/видео.html. Have fun playing! Hugs d.
The type of resin I use - Amazing Casting Resin - comes in white and clear formulas. I can add color to the white resin, but I prefer to keep the pieces white until I'm ready to use them so I can paint them any color I want! TFW :) Hugs d.

hi sweetie ... I was shouting and shouting wipe the card wipe the card LOL right video... I love the mods,,,think I've got some christmas money still to come...so that wouldn't be braking my spending freeze!!!! hugs linda and miss milly xxx
Lol! I must have heard you Linda :) The molds are amazing! No, you wouldn't be breaking your spending freeze using Christmas money, it it will be worth every penny for the molds! Big Hugs to you and miss milly :)xxx d.
It could be for many things. It looks to be pliable so you can wrap it around resin made votives or bowls or anything similar, you can place one of the doily looking ones in the center of round resin work. It could be a dirty pour and you can have one of these placed on it while still wet and have it hardened into it. The only limit is your imagination.
+Nancy K. Hi Nancy! It's just a different type of resin! It's called Amazing Casting Resin., which cures white so I can paint them if I want to, or keep them white. The two camios are gorgeousand the dolies are freakin amazing. Beautiful beautiful laces. I enjoyed your demo.please dont mind my spelling. What is the stuff in the bottles. I missed that part.
Okay Diana.....this was one cool video and I stayed for the whole ride!! LOL I was just as curious as you as to how you were going to work that so that there was nothing left on the lattice mold as far as clean up went!! Just a suggestion, but what about using a wide putty knife....you know the yellow ones that they use for leveling drywall mud?? Anyways....awesome tutorial and fabulous results!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Thanks for staying for the whole ride Liz, lol! I was definitely on a mission! Using the putty knife is an awesome idea, but I've only seen them in metal over here, and don't think I would trust myself to not gouge into the molds with it. Just might have to make a trip to the hardware store this week to see if they exist in plastic here! Really super happy with these molds and the results! TFW :) Big Hugs d.
Yes to both! In my experience, PearlEx or mica powders are the best for mixing in the resin to color, but others have good success with mixing in dye inks and acrylic paints. I prefer to keep them white and paint as desired when needed - they take acrylic paint beautifully! TFW :) Hugs d.
These molds are fantastic! Oh what fun you are going to have added them to your gorgeous projects! Happy Crafting, xxx Laurie
These molds really ARE fantastic Laurie! So many possibilities!!! TFW :) Big Hugs xx d.

So happy I got these Karen! Yes, you'll have to make time to play - so easy and fun! TFW :) Hugs d.
Love the results. Great ideas for my future works. Thanks for sharing
I saw a video a while back where they used a 91% rubbing alcohol to get the edges clean after resin hardens, or before baking polymer clay.
I use the alcohol to clear off the bits after the chaulk I use in my moulds including lace moulds and it clears it all off x
amazing Thanks for the tutorial....beautiful results...what happens if you mix more and add to the existing bits...ie to the center...would it bond to the setting resin...i suppose not...beautiful molds.well worth the effort!

love, love, love the round doily mold, I was surprised that the thin molds made such beautiful product
The doily molds really are gorgeous Debbie! I was thrilled to see how well the thin molds took the resin! TFW :) Hugs d.
I love working with resin but for the life of me I wouldn't know what to so,with these things you poured.
+OrangeTabbyCat Oh gosh! So many uses! Embellishments on boxes, canvases, elements in configuration and shadow boxes! The thin ones are great for all of those too, as well as on cards and in mixed media! TFW :) Hugs d.

PS think I may have seen this, I remember the phone going? Confused, yep that's me!
Would mold release be helpful? Or would it clog the thin lines of the mold? Also would a heat gun help with the curing?
I need that lace mold, just had an awesome idea for it!

Gorgeous!! Great tut:-) hugs, Carla
could you use a small squeegee with more of a rubber blade and not a credit card??
I simply love your explanations :) thanks! GB
Amazing stuff!!!!! Could you spray the molds with some type of release first?
+Angel Interesting thought Angel! sissy if you use a baby wipe dipped in alcohol wrapped on the credit card that might work for cleaning up the edges
great tut I love every minute of this sissy, now I want them all, thanks for the enabling LOL

How are you keeping them plyable instead of stiff like charms with most silicone molds
That was rather interesting. My faves were the heart and the frame. Hugs A.
Glad you found it interesting Sis! I don't like leaving unanswered questions in my head, lol! The heart really is stunning! TFW :) Big Hugs xx d.
Sorry if this is already answered, but how do you apply the resin to the lace molds that the back is so nice and clean, with all the holes? Do you use a scraper of some kind?
Totally awesome! Love the lattice! Hugz
Thanks sissy! I love the lattice too! So glad I was able to get a 'clean' one of it done! TFW :) Big Hugs xx d.
If you want to do this cheaper, you can also use caulk.
Also where do you get your resin and.what.brand do you use and could you show how you color it?
I buy Amazing Casting Resin from Amazon. I did a couple of videos on coloring the resin a while back. Here's the link to the one with my coloring tests: ruclips.net/video/tY9H563LsLs/видео.html. Have fun playing! Hugs d.
I was wondering why your resin is white .... unless I color mine it comes out clear ... but ... very nice job
The type of resin I use - Amazing Casting Resin - comes in white and clear formulas. I can add color to the white resin, but I prefer to keep the pieces white until I'm ready to use them so I can paint them any color I want! TFW :) Hugs d.
Where did you buy your big rubber texture mats from, please?
They're actually fondant molds! I've gotten some from Michael's in the baking section, some from NatashaScrapbooKorner, and some from Ali Express. Aliexpress.com is the least expensive, but Michael's isn't bad if you have a coupon, and I think NSK might be closed for the summer. Hope that helps! TFW :) Hugs d.
I didn't know you could use resin with such shallow molds!
What kind of resin? Or it doesn't matter.
😍😍😍😍😍👍💟💞💗💖 i love everything bello, bello amazing! !
Thank you so much! Natasha has such awesome molds in her shop! TFW :) Hugs d.
Have you tried the UV resins with this yet?
Awesome! Thanks for sharing ~ Hugs k
Thank you Karen, and TFW :) Hugs d.
Am I the only one that thought that the one that you demonstrated looked more like a Applique then lace. I thought it was beautiful if used like that.
Are those pieces of lace heavy for a card?
gorgeous can you tell me where you have buy the molding forms i live in Germany and i search this with cameo no find
+Florence Black Thank you Florence! There's a link in the description box of the store where I purchased these! I don't know what she has in stock right now, but I'm pretty sure she will ship internationally! TFW :) Hugs d.
Did you try making molds from silicone?
It cures slower because it can't heat up when it's thinner
How long did it take the blue lace to cure?
Resin takes longer to cure in thinner molds. It's been a while, but I don't remember it taking more than 30 minutes! But, to be on the safe side, check it in 30 minutes if you're in a hurry, or just wait an hour to be on the safe side! TFW :) Hugs d.
Thanks so much🌺
+Marylove You're very welcome :) TFW! Hugs d.
That's because the more resin there is the more heat it generates and cures faster vs the very thin pieces
hi sweetie ... I was shouting and shouting wipe the card wipe the card LOL right video... I love the mods,,,think I've got some christmas money still to come...so that wouldn't be braking my spending freeze!!!! hugs linda and miss milly xxx

I use amazing mold putty when I make molds. It's really easy to work with and fast! TFS :) Hugs d.
Beautiful.
Can you tint the resin or paint the pieces?
Yes to both! In my experience, PearlEx or mica powders are the best for mixing in the resin to color, but others have good success with mixing in dye inks and acrylic paints. I prefer to keep them white and paint as desired when needed - they take acrylic paint beautifully! TFW :) Hugs d.
