This was the moment that finally sold me on that lineup. Everything about the performance was absolutely perfect in its execution and seemingly random nature. They were not there to sell or promote anything, just to spend 5 minutes kicking ass and scaring the fuck out of his audience which I'm sure was a complete success. Lol

I’ve gotta let you know that you and your channel has renewed my love for the guitar. I started playing again after an almost 7 year dry spell caused by years of constant gigging and touring that kinda took the fun out of it. When I say dry spell, I mean like zilch, zero, nada playing the instrument I’d loved since I was very young. I took my main LP out the other day, and gave her a long overdue set up. This Slayer vid couldn’t have come at a better time. A riff I know all too well, but I think that’s just part of being a guitar player. Btw, I never learned the rest of the tune either. Lol.
    Many thanks to you! 🎶🔊🙂

I was able to see Metallica with Cliff Burton as well. Stuff like that will never happen again, but if it does... I hope that young people can look back 35+ years and say "man... You're missing a note on the triplet intro you need to hit the 2nd fret on the E string before the 5th fret, just saying, its the devil's scale

Little known fact..Fallons studio was closed for 2 weeks after Slayers performance..Rumor has it there was a mistake and this was scheduled on a Free senior night and the studio needed cleaning..Fallon now has sponsorship from depends diapers in the case Slayer returns

Imagine some of the folks in this crowd who thought they would have a nice relaxing night at the Tonight Show. Maybe watch some terrible interview with some teeny bop movie star. As you start getting comfortable, Slayer comes out and straight melts your face
