@nickypeeps In her defense. All of us at the show had a problem with cops at a house prior to hers. She didn't have to let us come to her home but was gracious enough to let us do so to enjoy this. If all she asks is to not break shit so I can see Ramshackle Glory and not have to deal with cops then I won't be breaking shit.
I was gonna make an OG Karon comment until I saw yours. Lol. I'm glad you made me think first. I always appreciate hearing a better perspective than my own.😍
it was most def pat I was there and while the girl was a little rich girl who quite literally lived in the hills, (this show was at a house on the top of a dirt hill), it was needed, the entire temecula police force showed up to the original venue.
it almost pisses me off when a band goes from low key to this crowd singing along thing where you can barely hear them among the voices, but then I'm reminded how carefully the lyrics were written and the depth of passion in the room isn't as much by carried by crazy as it really is to those 5 people singing their heart into the lyrics. While everyone in the back stands confused and disoriented.
I don't agree with breaking and or stealing shit a house show and I think its a massive dick move but on the other hand I agree that if its a worry of yours you shouldn't be hosting one to begin with cuz there will always be assholes, when me and my friends have these we really hope nothing happens but I mean we don't get to mad if it does seeing we invited them. But in this case I get the worry because of safety and well being of everyone was a bit risky with bottles overhead.
Nick Berger is the name but their preferred pronouns (to my knowledge, it's been years since anything has been released under this name) are they/them just fyi
@Loskingpride i'd be pissed if anyone broke my stuff, and i'd think anyone who carelessly broke anything of her's was a dickhead, but for some reason, the person laying down the guidelines at a house party bugs me on a visceral level. it's an inexcusable and illogical flaw of mine, but i'd never seen a better example of it than in this video
The girl's guidelines were slightly annoying, and if I was there, a few beers in, I reckon I wouldn't appreciate it either. It was made perfectly okay when Pat followed up on what she said though. Those people were there to listen to him and the band so it was good of him to bring it up, and to point out that there was a child in the audience. Reasons to love Pat++.
Homophobia? Where? I mean, a long-standing member of the band who was even there to play the last show the band will ever play is trans...I don't get any homophobic vibes or messages from any Pat the Bunny projects whether it's Johnny Hobo, Wingnut, Ramshackle or his solo stuff...I'd love to hear what you heard when you left this comment even if it was so long ago.
although she was indirectly instrumental in the existence of this video, that girl giving the safety directions in the beginning stinks. the greatness of a house party relative to how much the person whose house it is will always be an inverse relationship. i dunno why anyone would host one when it generally makes them an Elementary-school-teacher-sounding nervous wreck
Sell out? What the fuck do you mean sold out? He did the opposite. Pat used to give the music his all and put all of his raw emotions into his music and backed all of his music with his strong morals. When he outgrew the scene he told everyone straight up, that his heart wasn't in it as it used to be so he's quitting. He didn't sell out. Selling out is when the Sex Pistols sold their slogans to credit card companies. Selling out is giving merch rights to companies exploiting workers. Pat was true D.I.Y or die and when he decided he had enough he did the realist thing anyone could do which was get up and get out. He's an icon of what the D.I.Y and Punk scene stands for. TLDR: Fuck you, Fuck your statement, you're wrong.
Nothing wrong with the girl at the start. Respect peoples shit, even if its just shit to you.
amen brother
right on

I feel the same way, but I've always just assumed that I get more annoyed at the necessity to do that. Punk kids should know better.

Really Homophobia on a Ramshackle Glory song you disappoint me

could be wrong but i think he was disappointed about the homophobic comments on the video, not the lyrics.
I wonder if any of the people who need to say the host is annoying hosts ever...
