Andy shares his thoughts on some of the pressing questions still facing the UK’s armed forces as they adapt to evolving geopolitical and environmental challenges. It is clear from the first series that defence is facing several less obvious, but convergent, challenges which require political leaders to set a clear vision, structure accordingly, and optimise the lived experience of armed service personnel.

I'm no expert, but to publicly expose the fact that won't have enough ammo if it kicks off, doesn't seem like a particularly clever thing to do?

Thanks for commenting. Unfortunately, ammo stocks are one of those "open secret" types of things. The SoS spoke candidly about this last month at the Land Warfare Conference, and then again to the House of Commons Defence Committee. Not really a surprise, but certainly something that we need to recapitalise.
