@@soratenshi2847 u def do tbh
@@fragiledate no, your brain ignores it, unless you're purposely listening for it
@@soratenshi2847 obviously, but we have to take into consideration context here. for making the sound design of this video more realistic, adding the clothes ruffling would make this sound incredibly real.
it would help the viewer feel transported to the scene, and would obviously add to the relaxing factor. with some sound editing, you could feel the textiles shift and move with the actor - behind, in front of, or next to the listener. the illusion would benefit the medium greatly here.
i understand why the creator didn't add it though, it is very difficult technically, would take more time, or maybe they just hadn't thought of it! i think OP's comment is good critique and i agree with what they said.
(also i didnt wanna add this as a reason bc it isnt but i definitely notice clothing sounds and ruffles in everyday life but maybe thats just me - after all my experiences r not universal lol sorry long comment btw)

I think a lot of ASMRtists miss the point. THIS is how ASMR should sound. Not just about being close up, or random, or on one side. It’s about “feeling” the movement and depth as if someone is hovering right around you and giving you those tingles. 🫠
I agree, but not everyone is only tingled by this like you and I might. Some people really do tingle by those other ASMR types that you named.
Personally a very select few videos give me that spin tingling, down to my buttock, feel like squirming, ASMR. So I can agree that this is what I wish all ASMR was like, or at least the sound mixing and design was on par.
Oh also, I think you fail to realize that this is sound designed. Meaning they are manipulating a single sound in a software and editing it's movement in a 3D auditorial space.
A lot of these sounds are likely recorded foley or different sound samples mixed together. If you notice the scissor sounds are often the same in videos like these.
I'm sorry, but you're wrong. You need to look up what ASMR is. It can be achieved without 3D sound, even without any audio at all. I think you're getting it confused with chills or tickles
@@acido44 while yes it can be achieved without sounds it is indeed those tingles and chills you say it is not
@@acido44 Not only that most people get it from sounds in high-quality 3-D sounds makes it feel like it’s in the room with you causing more people to have an ASMR response because it quite literally feels more real and does not feel like it’s coming out of headphones in your ear

the first time i ever experienced the asmr feeling was with Dan and Phil's 3D audiobook trailer, which was not intended as asmr but they used a 3d head for it and we were "blindfolded".
no other 'real' asmr video has had the same effect of open space and presence until i found this!

I felt the exact same thing and started searching out a similar experience and now I can't sleep without asmr

Okay, this might sound a little.... _much_ ....but the way the fight gets cut off around 2:30 actually had a significant effect on me. There was always a lot of yelling in my house growing up. And it was a small house. So you couldn't get away from it without leaving.
So the idea of loud voices being cut off just like that felt like a marvel, and if you included more things like that in future videos I would find them very, very welcome.
But if not, that's fine, you're doing amazing work beyond that. Spookily realistic, in fact. I look forward to hearing more of it.

Finally, someone else understands what ASMR actually is. I haven't felt tingles like this since 2014
Part of the problem is that a lot of "asmrtists" and "asmr consumers" think asmr is just "relaxing sounds" and "hearing stuff in your ear", but it's hearing any sound near your ears and right behind you that triggers an ASMR response, and the transition from one point to another are an important part of enticing this response, but you'll see many ASMR channels just do "random sound all the way left", nothing, silence, "random sound all the way to the right", nothing, silence, "random sound all the way left", nothing, silence, "random sound all the way to the right", nothing silence, etc... Or just have sounds that trigger no ASMR response (like rain) but are just relaxing, or videos that don't have any 3D stereo sound recording which is needed to create the effect needed to have ASMR. Or straight up confusing "ASMR" with "Audio Roleplay/Narration".
If there's any criticism this channel should get is that the sounds are too spammy and random, and a lot of them feel like they were picked just cause rather than being something that's likely to provoke an ASMR response. I'm not sure why some sounds "just work", but some do. I don't think there's any serious research that's been put into it. But if i had to make a guess, i'd say that sounds associated with comfort and "organic" sounds are more likely to have a positive ASMR response. Aswell as certain high and low frequencies, very short and brief sounds, repeating sound waves (fast or slow) and sounds that provoke a sense of heightened alertness/consciousness (making your brain think "is this something i should be paying attention to?"). Also good sound quality and certain effects (in moderation) can add a lot to the potential.
A lot of supposed "common triggers" are actually pretty uncomfortable because of how they are made to sound, especially scratching motions, and touching certain fabrics/objects, but maybe that's just for people who are sensitive to sounds/stimuli (eg: i have ADHD and i hate the sound of rubbing/scratching on most surfaces and fabrices, it just gives me unpleasant goosebumps and makes me cringe like chalk on a board, simply imagining it is enough to have a physical response, or maybe it's an undiagnosed autism thing).
And there's a misconception that ASMR is supposed to be relaxing, but it can be relaxing, stimulating (in a good or bad way), unpleasant, or arousing (yes, in that way). Ultimately the main component of whether an ASMR response is an ASMR response or not is the tingly feel you get in your spine/head. Best way to achieve it is find an ASMR content creator whose ASMR you enjoy, find a sound you like and a video with a lot of said sound, pick a calm environment, relax as much as possible and don't allow any distraction, close your eyes, sit or lie down in a comfortable position, make sure the sound is loud enough but not ear shattering/painfully loud, intensely focus on the sound, what's going on, where it is relative to you, and try to imagine the sound really happening next to you, and the source of the sound being present with you. Don't think about other stuff while you focus on the sound, almost in a meditative state. Also, the more you listened to ASMR and specific videos, the more you build up a resistance to the ASMR response especially with specific sounds, but that tolerance lowers when you take breaks.
That's been my personal observations thus far, but maybe it's biased depending on what i respond positively and negatively to. I know a lot of people dismiss ASMR as some bullshit thing, or some weird ass fetish, or some bandwagon or whatever, but i don't just buy into stuff like this if it doesn't work at all, so i can confirm ASMR is a real thing at the very least, not that someone would have any reason to believe me, but still. I understand the scepticism, but it is misguided.
Also yes, i know, "ASMR response" is redundant, but ASMR has been turned into a name/acronym, and not just an initialism.
@@Dice-Z holy shit man, you seem like you did a lot of research about this.
