Big props to the community for fixing glaring issues in housing by glitching. Like cmon even to this day you can’t place things on lofts without glitching wtf
a year ago, i started watching weskalbers videos on how to peform combatjobs in ffxiv... now that i have leveled everything to max it is time for a new sensei :) great job i will copy your work shamelessly from now on and learn everything you share with us :)
@@AkhRhai Two hours in, and even if it's inch-by-inch I'm enjoying the investment :) Can we adjust the width of the fireplace TV larger than this clip's size, and not have conflict with the Otter lamp placement? EDIT: Answered my own question - just finished :D Thanks again Akh !
Thank you for this! I've learned so much from watching your videos and practicing. I recreated this setup in the basement of my small house (i.e. can't float items from below), using two Hingan sideboards side-by-side instead of the Hingan Bookshelves. And, one wooden beam on each side to form the bottom of each rectangular "cutout". This is because my first floor is occupied by a re-creation of your recent attic design. ^_^ One difference I made - instead of the inset bookshelves flanking the blank partition, I placed two stage 4 aquariums behind each of the rectangular "holes". Wish I could show you the little differences I included in my version(s), but I do credit you in the greeting of my visitors' message book!
If you want to maybe you can shoot me a message with the address in a DM on discord? I’d love to come see it, maybe I can get Zeno and Tanih to come with as well :D ❤️
@@AkhRhai Sure, would that be the HGXIV discord server? Or is the Fashion Decoration server a different one? The Discord link above doesn't seem to work - just sends me to general Discord page.

This was in my recommended, started watching without checking channel name and was like "hmm, this voice sounds familiar" then saw your name at the corner xD Idk how I hadn't subscribed already, awesome design as always Rhai
Awesome video. I am new to decorating a house, since this will be th efirst home I've had teh chance to own. Question is this doable in teh basement or just the upstairs since you have to float a bunch of things?
Anything is doable anywhere with some adjustments! You just have to switch out some items for other ones that you don't have to have come up through the floor, if that makes sense
@@AkhRhai Ok cool beans. My housing journey is just beginning and your vids are definitely insightful. I am glad I found your channel. And thanks for the reply
Great vid. Can't think of a reason why SE haven't given us necessary stuff like toilet bowls, tv, and the ability to put stuff in lofts without the need for glitching. Like wtf. Lol.
Do you know any other good substitute items for the TV panel? The fireplace is too thick for my build because I want to put a room on the other side of the TV, and also the flickering glow is sticking through the other side, even if I make the wall thick.
No clue to be honest, I haven't really played the game for a long while now so I don't really know any new items... But I suppose you could use pretty much anything of the shape you want? So basically a flat rectangular surface in black, then just find something that could act as a little red light in the bottom of the screen to make it look like a TV!
Thanks a lot for the guide! Quick question. When building the TV bench one of my bathroom tiles (always the second I place) snaps away from the bench. Is that just to do with not floating the partition far enough? Because I think I've floated it as much as possible without the bottom bit showing... any ideas? Thanks again!
I assume you find your bathroom tiles snapping to the blank partition, in which case you either need the partition to be a tiny bit higher or the bathroom wall tiles to be a tiny bit lower :3 basically you need the bathroom wall tiles middle point to end up under the snapping surface of the partition! So if you have the partition as high as you can it would make sense that your bench is just a tiny bit too high and you need to lower the tiles a little bit further :)
I don’t have very many guides at all yet, but the door guide I did Dan be done in an apartment without a doubt! For the others it’s just about finding replacements for the things you won’t be able to float from the basement :)
I do have a small question what are you filling those last few gaps with? Or is that just more artificial ceilings? Wonderful tutorial but I saw that and was like...huh? xD
I am brand new to the FFXIV housing scene, but I am looking to make this in my FC's Private room. The discord invites are invalid now and would love some help with making this. I'm having trouble with initial setups. I have all of the items necessary (as shown in description). Any way I can talk to someone for some help?
great tutorial! i have a question though, when i try floating my fireplaces, im able to get them up, but even after rotating they fall back to the ground when i reenter my home. was this glitch patched?
No, it wasn’t! You probably just need to float them a tiny bit higher in that case. They’re probably not meeting the height requirement. So just take them up a bit more and try again :)
I know how to float items with glitch but the wooden lofts seem not to work when i try to use them to float, they'll show up purple because the manor fire places- causing me to be unable to put the wooden loft beneath them. They turn orange when i place them above the manor fireplaces though How do i fix this?
The surface you're placing the loft on needs to be visible to you, basically line of sight. If you need to you can always turn the surface (example stage panel) and put the loft in at an angle. Not sure if this helps, but if you need more detailed assistance I'm happy to help you on discord too 🙏
@@AkhRhai Thank you, it worked great! I'm having one problem when making the button though. I'm putting the odder otter lantern in position just fine, it gets in there and looks great and all and even when I leave and rejoin the house it's still in position, but after sometime it'll just randomly pop out and down a bit so the lantern is jutting out from under the TV. Do you have any tips to deal with that?
@@HirosamaNadasaki what I do is adjust the height between the TV and the bench to fit the lamp! Because the lamp will snap to the bench behind the wall no matter what :
