Hi, I have a follow up question. I am kinda new to this so please bare with me. When you're doing bookkeeping what are the statements you need to ask from your client? (And what about customer and vendor's names, do you ask for their data too?)
You need bank statements, credit card statements, loan statements, and any other financial statement they receive on a monthly basis. Yes, I always request vendor's names and W9s.

I did not have any experience when I got started. I did all of the research on my own through QuickBooks and the internet
Go to a community college or adult education program and get some training
If you really love what you're learning, get a degree.
There's lots of great content on RUclips and the internet, but you will do well to get additional training as well.

I have some questions when you say they pay you 250$ monthly. What all was part of that service ? I just want to understand because normally company’s have tons of transactions. Were these business quite small ones ?

No where. I learned everything on my own!
This not totally a book keeping question but did you have Workmen Comp insurance on your driver/s? Do you know if anyone does?

I'm learning to be a bookkeeper at the moment and the best and professional way to learn to be a bookkeeper to get CPE credits and certifications is taking the quickbooks accounting training totally recommend :)
I did not have a finance background when I got started. I learned QB through watching youtube videos and practicing on fake accounts. I learned the fundamentals of accounting through taking an online college course

Using different software and I can build a system for business finance proceeding all accounting reports, trial balance? Income and balance sheet statements even reconciling bank using Excel as a proper system.

I have found that you can read and learn about bookkeeping, but you need the hands-on experience so did you have a mentor? Did you do any interning? How did that happen?
I started studying accounting in college. That’s the only formal education I had.
It will be easy if you putspuce it to us in India.

Do you always use a software (eg quickbooks) for all your bookkeeping even if the business is really small? Do you sometimes just use a spreadsheet? In regards to your catch up or cleanup jobs, do you still use QB? What deliverables do you give the client? How do you handover to the client their books for the period you worked on? I only use QBO. I don't use any other software or Excel. If the client is too small for QBO, they probably are too small to pay my minimum of $250/month
For deliverables, it's always P&L and Balance Sheet, sometimes General Ledger if the accountant asks for it
I don't handover the books because the client always has their own access to QBO

I'm not sure the exact scenario, and my prices fluctuate a lot depending on the scenario!

So how do you suggest somebody? That's working AW2 job that they hate. And they work 7 - 8 hours a day. Plus 25 minutes to work and then 25 minutes home purity. Do you suggest that I cold? Call people for 2 hours in the morning 5 AM and 6 AM. And then I don't know, come home around 6 PM and start cold calling people at 7 PM. And 8 PM and then go to bed at 9 PM. how am I gonna cold called people for 8 hours a day if I'm working 8 hours a day?
No, don't do cold calls. Just create social media marketing content and DM people on FB

How can I record an invoice to past factored transactions in quickbooks online? I just subscribed to QB and linked my accounts. My factoring company sends all invoices to brokers and charge me a fee of 1.5%, no reserve. I need to record the full amount of the agreement. I only see the factored amount. For example...$800 was charged, but I only got $788 after factoring. I need to tie that 800 to the 788. Can you help?

Watched a few videos of you so far. do you have a video yet as far as how to keep the same income coming in when you want to step out to go on vacation say for a couple weeks? We just save enough income to put on the side until ready and have someone take over for this particular time? Wondering how you work it since this is not a traditional job?
I work every day and I've gone on vacation once in the past 3 years, and I brought my laptop and I worked for 3 hours every day :) but I'm crazy, and I love working my business, and I make a lot of money, so you don't need to work as much as I do if you don't want to! You could easily take off for 4 or 5 days. Just tell your clients that you'll be away, and be prepared to have a lot of emails to catch up on when you return!

I actually have 44 clients now and I spend about 30 minutes per week per client.
What is something you wished someone could had told you when you first started book keeping
Never work hourly, never go to people's office, charge more. I took a client for $25 per hour when I first started. I never work hourly, everything is a fixed cost. Monthly recurring clients start at $200 and one-off things start at $500. I won't clean up anything for less than $500, no matter how small. It's not worth the headache.
how to do you get the information to enter the transactions? do you ever go to your client's office?
You get the info from the QB bank feed or from their bank statements. I work 100% remotely

No. You can start a bookkeeping business with zero experience and no certifications
What is the option if you couldn't get a customers? Can i get sub contracts?
The only option is to double your efforts for marketing and sales. You should be creating social media content every day. You should be calling and emailing and messaging prospective clients 100 times every single day for 30 days straight. I guarantee if you contact 100 people every day for 30 days, you will get a client.

I have been learning QBO for the past 4 months. I recently graduated with a major in accounting, and I'm eager to gain as much experience as possible with QuickBooks.
