He has always had these skills and he should get more credit for turning Arsenal around (not only Arteta). His calmness and the way he lead the team is transferred over to other players…just look at Xhaka and Partey. Completely different players now.
I remember a lot of Arsenal fans bashed him a lot and said he was overrated (you were probably one of those)…I said: Just wait and see, you dont realize what a diamond you have. His crearivity and vision and the way he is able to play hidden passes through defenders is rare. You need good teammates around you for that style of play to be effective and you cant expect him to succeed immediately because his teammates has to learn the way he play,. When you try difficult things you’ll sometimes fail with the passes of course, and sometimes your teammates isnt attentive enough or doesnt know his play enough to read where the pass will come. If Ødegaard had the same quality strikers around him as fex KDB has had, he would have had plenty of more assists and goal points at every club he has played so far, also for Arsenal last year. Now that his teammates know his play better you see the result and it isnt because Odegaard has totally changed, he has always had these skills BUT its because the players around him understand him now and therefore he can play with more ease and do things he couldnt last year fex.

See a classic keyboard coach shows up 😅😂. Firstly it's NEVER one person that fails to qualify, when it's a TEAM sport. Managers and coaches have their favs it is a fact and sometimes players don't succeed while under certain mangers. Real Madrid scouted him in the first place. This is a young team so the "winning" is being addressed. THINK for F sake or play some sport and you'll know this.

@@Carlin-qt4jk LOL! You call me clueless and say «He failed Norway to fail for Quatar»? What does that sentance even mean? He doesnt play for himself. A team is around 20 players. You cant succeed on your own in football. Messi or anyone else wouldnt have qualified with Norway either so learn something about football before you comment like that. You are the clown
RM didmt reject him. They wanted him back from his loan at Real Sociedad. It was Odegaard who chose to leave RM to go somewhere where he was guaranteed playing time so that his talent (as a lot of other young players coming to RM) wasnt going to be waisted. He wanted to play football cause thats what he love. He went to RM when he was 15 cause he thought they were the right club to nurture his talent being wuch a big club, but it was obviously the wrong choice. He realized that and many would have probably stayed and cashed in the money and settled but Odegaard has ambitions and wanted to play for a team that needed his qualities and Arsenal surely was the right team. There is a reason he was made captain after only 1 year there. Normally captains are the ones who has been in the club for years bu he has gained so much respect from his teammates and the manager allready. i bet RM regrets they sold him now.
      Do you have problems reading?

Maybe you meant Messi played alone against 11 other players every match? Argentina didnt have a keeper or a defence, Messi was playing in all positions, right? Thats BS. When they lose matches I assume its also Messi’s fault, right? He wouldnt have gotten Norway to a championship. Period. Football is a team sport even though you have stars on your team. Side note. I was searching Background on Ødegaard and found a quote on wiki about one of his prime "Basic" Skills which fits to me . When describing his son, Hans Erik Ødegaard said: "It's the pace of the game that makes the difference in adjusting to different levels. We've used so many hours in working with his first and second touch to take off the pressure. We have worked a lot on bringing the ball closely to his feet, so he can change direction quickly, so even if he's physically weaker than the others he doesn't get caught because he's able to get away."

Ozil to Odegaard is one of the most perfect replacements I've ever seen. Gives you hope that football talent will always be there even coming from some of the most amazing players in history

He's one of those players who just needed to be at a club where they gave him a proper chance and the freedom to grow. Hopefully he doesn't make mistakes like some players have chosen to do and leave the club. He could end up staying as a starter for us lasting 10 seasons, I see no reason to replace him any time soon. Sure maybe a financially massive club might come for him, but will he be as appreciated or as loved as he is now at Arsenal, I doubt it and then he'll that extra % of love for the game.

As a United fan and a Norwegian I'd love to see him wearing our shirt eventually, but I'd have to agree with you. I think Odegaard is an intelligent guy and his period in the biggest club in the world probably left him with some perspective in regards to this.

If you put list on all Ø skills. It just unreal, can be playmaker, discipline on pressing, goalscorer, progressive passing, accurate long passing, know all tricks and fakes, motivate team mates, be a captain, and basically represent Arteta vision on field.

This lad's not just a phenomenal player & an inspirational captain - with his perfect temperamental blend of fire & ice upon the pitch - & super-likeable, über-popular amongst his teammates & the club's coaching/fitness staff, as well as we Gooners but he's also clearly a very pretty lad & is thus a golden marketing dream to boot...& just like me, he's a Sagittarius, which surely makes him even better yet again...?! 🏹
I'm 100% straight but damn this lad's bloody handsome & if he'd not been hitched to his equally attractive (actually, she's an absolutely freaking STUNNING, IMO!) brunette girlfriend, Oda Burud for almost a decade now, he'd be absolutely KILLING IT with an endless myriad hotties in London, that's for sure...he's sheer class in ALL respects, our captain & #8, Martin Ødegaard!!
OK, sycophantic rant now officially over...finally!!
