- This is what it’s like to give birth under Israeli bombardment. AJ+ filmed inside Gaza’s al-Shifa maternity ward before Israeli forces raided the hospital.
There are 50,000 pregnant women in Gaza who are forced to give birth under dire conditions, including overcrowding and the lack of proper sanitation, fuel, and medicine. In some cases, women are not given anesthesia for C-sections.
Without functioning hospitals, pregnant women will be at even greater risk. Since October 7th, over 11,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza - 70% of them women and children.

I can’t stop crying for mothers and specifically for the babies. Left 5 premature babies left for dead without support breathing machine. That’s is beyond evil
I was separated from my first baby after he was born. He had to go to a different hospital NICU. My husband rode the ambulance with him. I remember the trauma I had just gone through and feeling so much grief because I was alone in my hospital room. To see that mother just give birth to a premature baby, after losing her three year old, it just rips my heart out to see her alone in her bed without her babies under such unimaginable stress. I hate my government for allowing this to happen.
A 9-month-old baby is a hostage of Hamas, and the Red Cross has no information about him.

This is heartbreaking, no amount of words can express how sad this is. I was even having difficult watching the whole video. And people have to go through it. My heart breaks for those tiny babies. Why is Israel not stopping? Everday we call for ceasefire, it's heartbreaking to know that even after the attacks ended, these people will have no homes, children with no parents, improper hospital facilities, babies without mothers, their family members martyred. With houses and infrastructures destroyed, improper and inadequate water and food supplies. Like their lives are changed forever. Many people displaced from their homes. This troumatic situations is unbearable. This massacre against women and children must stop.
What we are seeing for the last 45 days is Human made disaster, against 2.2 million civilians 13000 of them killed by airstrikes and 28000 wounded most of them became disabled 😢 over all of that they are facing worst situations of displacement, winter cold weather, Hunger, Thirsty, Malnutrition which can lead death and communicable diseases. Most of these problems are preventable. Every one who is supporting this genocide they have blood in their hands.
