I played this model at Gruhns last January. Out of the many Martin's, Gibson, and Collings I played that day, the OMJM was the best. I preferred it to the Clapton as well. Its one of the very best acoustics I've ever played.

Came to the same conclusion after playing lots of other Martin’s, Gibsons etc as well. Clapton I think sounded a bit richer, but the neck was way too chunky for me. There’s a vibrancy and aliveness to the OMJM.

My advice to anyone interested in a small body Martin.....stick with the 25.4 scale length like this one......I have a 000-18 retro with a 24 scale and the combination of the short scale with the small body ( especially Martin's are thin) just kills the sound........stuck with long scale unless the guitar is a dreadnaught like a j45

I may eventually get an OMJM but when I demo the Taylor next to the OMJM, I don’t find a huge difference other than price. They are obviously not exactly comparable but I find I prefer certain qualities of each but can’t say the OMJM is worth $2500 more.

Just got delivery of my PRS Angelus A60E and it is exceptional. For the price? OMG. REAL WOOD, not HPL or veneered plywood, REAL ABALONE, Ebony, cutaway, FLAMED CURLY MAPLE BINDING. Mahogany neck, Ziricote back and sides. Fishman, Just gorgeous and would be $3500 if it were a Martin or Taylor (which at that price might actually use real wood finally) and probably not have half the beauty and material extras. AND SOUNDS AWESOME

Just got this guitar, it’s got amazing tone and they downplayed the neck and playability in this video - second to none on a Martin imho. Plays more like an electric. Still deciding whether to keep or return, just cause it is spendy but it should be a lifetime guitar if I keep it.
