1) when to choose call and when puts for butterfly
2) if I have mild directional view, like today nifty is at 14800 and after 10 days at expiry I am expecting it to expire at 15000 how to do it

How do you decide between a Iron Fly/Call Butterfly/Put Butterfly?

Excellently explained but do you recommend first Butterfly at ATM or OTM or ITM if so at how far means one leg near to ATM ?. Also do you recommend weekly or monthly butterfly to make profit even inspite of big movements in any direction.

Yesterday I made 14800 -15000 butterfly , then exit , today executed 14700 , 100 gap butterfly for 18th expiry lets see what happens . Thanks for sharing :)
Sir on Friday closing Many analyst and trader says that price of bank nifty butterfly 500 point away from cmp is 95.
How they calculate that 95 as currently bank nifty ATM is 34200
If we add 500 points from bank nifty then butterfly will be on 34700.
And premium of 34700 ce is 315, 34600 ce is 345, 34800 ce is 277.
When we calculate we have to pay premium of 6/-.
Similarly if me made butterfly on put prem is around 55.
How they calculate 95/- of 500 points away butterfly.

Sir plz explain ,video time @ 19.05, extra PE selling14800,14900 & 1500 PE while the market going down after our range break ? selling again on down side will it add more risk ! or are you saying later buy PE on either side and create another butterfly.

Hey, I believe u are the same person who asked this question to PR Sundar as well. Firstly, I would suggest you to exit from the position right away. Coz I feel you are a beginner in options. If you are good at options, you wouldn't be asking this question here. Now don't take me wrong. I strongly suggest you to stay out of trading until you acquire enough knowledge and confidence in Options. I also suggest you learn hedging strategies initially. Kindly take this as a suggestion as I was once in your position who lost my money in options.
sell 14900 ce and and other side sell 14400 pe and buy 14000 pe
sell 15050 call to cover your some point of loss immidiatelly
one thing i can say Pls dont hold option buying positions it should be mostly intraday , too make profit or break even in this you need to sell atleast a call for 45 rs to cover losses

Nice and valuable contents. Till now I have been using this for intraday, along with naked straddle and strangle. And getting good profits means around 2% or so daily. Some mistakes and some losses some days. But that is inevitable I believe. I am though new to this option world. But satisfied with my performance. Thanks a lot again
Reeyansh sir,if we implement 3 butterfly's and even after that if the market moves ahead of our breakeven,then only we should start covering losses by selling PE's or CE's, not before that, right?

1. When to use calls only butterfly and when to use puts only butterfly ?
2. Getting Max profit is near impossible, so what should be the target level to book profits ? 30% of max ? 50% of max ?

My Problem in Option writing:
Each Thursday or Wednesday my SL of CE+PE or (CE+PE)3/4 gets hit and I end up with a loss
I usually short CE and PE with deltas < 0.3
Now I am thinking that I should short CE and PE with deltas > 0.7
