Added closed cell foam sheet to either side of the battery stack will hold everything centered, also will allow for heat expansion. Thank for the video, super helpful.
four of those top screw that holds the lid passes through two metal brackets on top and when you slide the battery side to side can see the standoffs moving through the holes thus once assembled it will be secure
Thanks for the view of what’s inside! I’ve been looking for something affordable to have handy as a temporary backup for the refrigerator/freezer inside my home during brief outages instead of hauling out the portable generator and cables from the barn out back. I now feel confident this will serve my purpose well enough in conjunction to a small inverter and charger. If one were to install this in a recreational vehicle, I might also pack some of the gaps around the cells and secure the wiring at certain points with glue, as you indicated. I hope they serve you well!
they would be great unfortunately i have not been able to cycle these still waiting on chargers and inverters. they are a great cost effective solution if you dont mind not having the communication from the bms.
@@solera-electric I've heard bad rumors about these, it would be nice to have a part two with a capacity test or something. Batteries are still expensive and I would like to get a fairly cheap system started that I could expand later. Some say the BMS doesn't have any protections..weird.
i agree unfortunately it is not a standard rack size and has no mounting options for a server rack. The website also advertises them as a golf cart battery. thanks for watching🙂
100% for sure people will buy these for vans rv's caravans. Personally I would open it up and protect the wires. Although the Wallace wires would burn out pretty much instantly and brick the bms on the way. Doubtful that cells would be harmed. But you'd have a dead battery all the same

Thank you i did not want to take mine apart
These will be perfectly fine for a tiny home right?

@solera-electric ideally you should have everything set up before you buy the batteries... warranty clock starts ticking the day you get them.
@@reichfrog2 There are capacity tests on these on various YT channels. They all tested over 50ah.
That's a rack server type battery, not meant to be installed in something that moves.

Not meant to be but often is...and just fine.
