I love Peter Pan, I've always loved the story, and the world that was created, it was only until a few months ago that I learned the true story of Peter Pan, and it's not like the movies at all, it is actually closer to Robbie Kay's version. I still love the original but I can't help but hope for a real retelling of the original story in a movie someday. (It would probably shadder some kids view of Peter Pan)
In the Original story Peter was the only person on the island who stayed the same age, all the other lost boys aged. He kidnapped the kids when they were around 10 and when they became 18, he would kill them, in the original story it is rumored that Captain Hook was the good guy and all his other ship mates were Lost boys who got away from Peter Pan, they kept trying to take the kids because they wanted to save them from Peters wrath.
Anyways, just thought it was interesting, one of my favorite portrayals of Peter Pan next to Charlie Rowe.
although i like that theory, i feel like he saves the lost boys from bad lives and brings them to neverland. protects them and the island :)
