In so glad you liked this. Since Dollboxx is a side project, they only have 2 albums out. Hana (the drummer) didn't really scream like this normally, so there aren't any Gacharic Spin songs with growls or screams, but they have really high energy live shows and I think that's their draw, besides their excellent instrumentation. Dollboxx doesn't play many live shows since the girls have their main projects going at the same time. You might like the other Dollboxx songs though. Kogan F Choppa, the bass player, is one of the best bassist in Japan btw. I promised no more sad songs!
Ive honestly been binging this song just as i have with Giant Killers. Im super sad this isnt on spotify and the only way i can listen to it is on youtube :(
Good choice! Not just one of my favourite J-Rock/Metal bands but one of my favourite bands of all time, along with Gacharic Spin. Regarding your query if Hana (the blue haired drummer here) ever does the screams in Gacharic Spin - occasionally yes but much more rarely than with DOLL$BOXX. She has a few screams in the middle 8 of this track: ruclips.net/video/l8hE7XlRkUA/видео.html (Note she switched from drums+vocals to guitar+vocals in GS a year or so back and this is one of their first MV's with that new line-up) She adds a scream in the breakdown to live performances of Broken Lover: ruclips.net/video/yVTp3SESzpY/видео.html Screams are also used as part of the chorus to the GS track Nostalgic Blue - not on RUclips I don't think but you can listen to it on Spotify, it's the first track of their 2015 album Music Battler. If you want to try some more recent DOLL$BOXX I suggest checking out their track Shout Down from their 2017 mini EP High $pec - you can find it here: ruclips.net/video/FVfRwBeCnE0/видео.html
AGGRETSUKO!!! I freaking love that show. I just finished watching the whole series! My Japanese friend absolutely hates that show because it is so close to real life in Tokyo. The shitty jobs, the shitty hours, the shitty bosses, the shitty coworkers. I think he has PTSD from working in that environment. After 30 years at the same job and after talking to me about it, he finally decided to retire and become a Japanese language teacher instead. His whole demeanor changed drastically.
@@MichaelReactstoMusic oh yeah. The karaoke booths, the office after work drinking parties, the gossip, the realities of the underground idol scene, the creepy stalkers, even the apartments! I swear, everyone's apartment looks exactly the same. Lol. And their names! They're named for the animal they represent. Retsuko is a レッサーパンダ/ Ressa panda in Japanese. Aggre is "aggressive" combined the two and you get Aggressive Red Panda, Aggretsuko.
Yes Hana does a bit of screaming in Gacharic Spin, but only in few songs and it's very subtle, like if you're not paying attention, you might miss it :D . Screams in DollsBoxx are very forward, that is the case with Gacharic Spin. One the songs that has screaming and hasn't been mentioned is one their older ones (when they had different line up) - Lost Angel.
Great reaction and thanks for taking a chance on DOLL$BOXX. While it is a side project between Fuki (from Unlucky Morpheus and many other band) and GS. I discovered GS before DOLL$BOXX and really like their energy and chaos in livve shows, plus, they are really funny and you can see from their live shows that they love performing. Bassist F Chopper is a beast and one of the only bassists I've seen swing her bass. Here's an example of their craziness on stage from 2017 - the keyboardist takes center stage with vocals - ruclips.net/video/Y1oUxt6R7Zw/видео.html
this was the band i discovered before unexpected because i know japanese being quirkiness in some music im a about to quit listening ,then suddenly they sing , i was blown away wtf is this i never expect this was so good...then i hook into it ...sad to hear like BAND MAID it was a side project... could they just reunite leave thier own band and continue this coz i really digging it, the style is so amazing..
It was a...weird but fun video to watch. XD The song ? Very catchy, nice and easy to listen to ( when compared to real hard metal rock, I mean ). The girls in there ? Well, since this was my very first time watching a DOLL$BOXX's video, I just couldn't tell them apart. But they're all pretty and beautiful for sure. :D Thank you for sharing your reaction video !
For the record, while this music video is great for reactions (cause it's hilarious), THIS SONG LIVE IS THE FREAKING BEST! It's the same talent without the over-production of the recording, and it honestly sounds better. You should definitely check it out.
Great reaction... I read somewhere, this video is the one that spark the idea on Miku Kobato to forming BAND-MAID... Watch the year it's released... 2013... the year BAND-MAID formed, a year later Thrill video is released... Don't know if it's true or not. And I love the video for this song... It's poke a fun to pop Idol worshipper... The crowd came to see an Idol group (usually cute teenager singing cheerfull love pop song), so they not enthusiastic when the girls enter and get shocked by the music... But eventually ended on liking them and their music.
listen to these girls for long time now they rock apartment cd fantastic great reaction you guys are great thank you please try promised dawn by gal met (heavy rock ) you want scream try this one
Awesome reaction guys! You should check out "Shout Down" or my favorite "Dragonet" from Doll$boxx's 2017 EP "high $pec". It's even better than the first album Cheers
I can’t agree with you that doll$boxx is better than unlucky morpheus. The two bands have different styles. Unlucky morpheus is more technical and classical metal music. doll$boxx is a combination of electronic and hard rock.
I love this song, Shout is also pretty good but the rest of their songs are kinda meh for me, same with Gacharic spin. Fuki with Unlucky Morpheus is good, but I really don't like the screaming kinda ruins it.
The lead singer, Fuki, is incredible. She's been in several different acts over the years (Doll$Boxx, Fuki Commune, Unlucky Morpheus, Lightbringer, etc.). Currently, her main act is Unlucky Morpheus. BTW, the theme of the video is that they're acting like an underground idol group, and all the dudes in the audience are prospective fans coming to check out what they think will be a squeaky voiced girl pop group, then get the shock of their lives.
I'm liking this more than both bands' main projects

She does do some screaming on the gacharic spin son Gold Dash

Will add it to the hat!
Fuki sings /sang in Light Bringer and solo as Fuki Commune. She even sings in a song with Galneryus. Fuki is everywhere! ;-)

It is such a good fun/funny show! It is crazy that it closely rates to real japanese life, wasnt aware of that! :O

The best of both worlds :) Gacharic Spin and FUKI...oh how I wish for another album from them! Hana can do anything! :)
I believe they did do a more recent album.
@@RetiredInThailand Yes, an EP
You need to listen to more Unlucky Morpheus man 😅
