That's exactly why I love Sting so much as a musician, besides his ingenious and beautiful music. Like the way he enjoyed Gregory's performance in '17. You can tell from his face he forgot that this beautiful performance was in honor of him but he just enjoyed a concert of music. I have watched this masterpiece of the polar music prize a hundred times over the last years and I wish I could have seen those pure musicians performing together. That's what music is about 😌

I love Gregory's voice but the first verse sounded off key/pitchy to me, maybe its the venues sound engineering because the mouth organ sounded off too. I'm going back to listening to Prince live to rest my ears as that guy was always perfect live.
When I had heard the 2017 Gregory Porter version song the first time, I thought wow, it was better than the original, which was already a good song. I guess Sting felt the same way, to bring Gregory into the show, and especially at the end of this clip when he says he'll never sing this song again (his own version). I couldn't agree more.
