Stuff like the outside having so much detail makes me think we were originally going to be allowed to leave.
My guess is we were originally going to get to play during the daytime, the way the game begins is kind of abrupt if you ask me, plus in an earlier interview with NVIDIA they talked about the Pizzaplex having "day and night" modes with different lighting
The outside really doesn’t have much detail, I think they only added the lighting and those crosswalks just for if the player looks outside while the door is closing. It looks like a convincing outside area from the inside.

I'm not trying to be rude here but that's not very detailed and if anything shows you that they didn't actually plan on letting you leave.
The sign outside, clipping through the wall isn't suppose to look like the outside sign, its just that they didn't care enough to cover it since you weren't ever meant to see it from that angle.
I spend most of my time breaking out of bounds in games, this looks exactly like an area they didnt expect you in.

Even when the doors aren't closed, the game is like "No, Gregory can't leave at all." and creates a invisible forcefield to stop Gregory.
Actually, as a gamedev myself, the game doesn't create new invisible forcefields. It's just the collision of the door still being there. If the door is scripted to be close, why would the game disable/enable collisions?
Similiar to this, in other games, when a wall is scripted to be destroyed into a hole before the player can reach it, then usually this wall won't have collision to begin with.
Honestly, after seeing what the outside looks like, I would rather stay inside the pizza plex.

If this was an actual scenario:
Gregory slips past the closing doors and makes it out of the building. Breathing a sigh of relief, he talks into his faz watch. "Freddy! I did it! I got out just in time!" The message from Freddy comes out slightly distorted. "Excellent news! Way to go, Gregory! Unfortunately, without a service connection, the fazwatch may not work too well or sound a bit glitched. Not to worry though! Once you go home, all you need to do is connect it to the wifi and you and me can have more conversations if you wish!"
"It's best you head home now, I'm sure your family is worried sick about you...! Make sure to stay safe, alright? Who knows what lurks around at the dead of night..."
"Nevertheless, I'm sure you'll make it back home safely! I believe that a strong and independent child as yourself can do this! When you come back, come meet me in my dressing room! I'll have a present waiting for you."
"Have a goodnight, Superstar!"

The fact that Gregory missing his chance to escape (besides giving him layers of traumatic experiences) actually got him close to Freddy and gave him a chance to make major changes to the place is actually amazing.
Game: “escape before midnight” Gregory: *escapes before midnight*
Game: “hey… you weren’t supposed to do that…”
Honestly I think the game should let Gregory leave if he makes it to the doors quick enough. It would likely just trigger the bad ending like when Gregory tries to leave normally, or maybe since you left so early Gregory has more time to find a place to sleep or even find a homeless shelter where Vanny can't reach him
I think if the Devs did that it would be similar to Sister Location, only no exotic butters. Nobody would know because they wouldn't have played the game at length to find out why. They wouldn't know Vanessa is being brainwashed, so a woman showing up at a shelter to look for her "missing child" would mean "yay, Gregory can go home to his family" until you realize she's taking him back to the pizzaplex.
It's been a while but wasn't there an ending where we see Gregory in a cardboard box covering himself with newspaper with Vannys shadow over him. Wouldn't it be cool if you could have a bad ending where you still end up in that same place, just much earlier. We just see Vannys dragging a relentlessly fighting Gregory back down the alleyway to the pizza plex, even better if we can see a clock or something that says the time somewhere in the frame, 1:17 AM in the background or something like that. You escaped in time, you walked out of a dark path, just to find yourself opening a door that leads to an even worse outcome. ( That parts a metaphor)
Imagine you got an ending for that, "The 'How?' Ending"
I would've thought it would trigger the scene at the end, with Freddy asking whether you want to leave or stay
Probably not because you haven’t done any of the tasks to trigger the ending.
Yeah the cutscene triggers once it’s 6am hot once you reach the door
I really wish that they could actually fix this to have a secret ending. Like if you make it to the doors in time and leave then Freddy would say something like "Way to go Superstar! I hope I see you again soon.. Goodbye Gregory." And then a small cutscene of them walking away or maybe just a rerun of Vanny finding them on the street.

NGL I'm surprised they even rendered an outside. There's not much clearly but it's kinda neat that they did.
The thing is it is a sort of thing where to door doesn’t even matter, the exit option is triggered when you reach 6 am however the doors are dependent on the time, this means if you have made it to 6 am before and somehow reverse the clock the option will remain

I'm lowkey kind of disappointed there isn't an actual possibility of a situation like this in the game, but at the same, it wouldn't properly be a game if you'd be able to leave before the doors close. XD
It would be cool if Vanny spots you as you exit the Pizzaplex,and follows you to wherever you go.Since your player has no home,you would have to try to escape her as she stalks you though the streets until she gives up at six AM.This is where the Vanny Meter could be implemented instead of in the PizzaPlex,because there would be less obstacles,such as the animatronics.

It's so anti-climactic seeing Gregory being able to leave just like that; no scene, no catch. XD
What I really wish the devs could have done was for there to be a way so you can actually escape that way, by that I mean when you firsr have the task to escape using the main entrance a timer would start going, if you were to get go the main exit before it hits zero you would get a different ending, and if you wouldn’t make it in time you would have to play the game how it is currently

If you think about it ; Gregory is an orphan and homeless so when the animatronics are telling him that theyll alert his family or take him to hid parents its all mental torture as Gregory doesnt have any.

When I was first watching people's playthroughs (namely Mark's) I knew there were multiple endings (but didn't know any of them... and also still don't really because I need to catch up) and hoped somehow escaping on time was one of them.
Until I saw this just now. Dreams dashed.

It’s weird it’s even modeled slightly out there since you normally would only see it for a few moments but it has an interesting amount of detail
honestly the fact that they designed the exterior even though no one would see it just shows how much effort went into this.
This should be an ending. Basically a Speedrun ending where it you do literally everything and it's fastest possible speed you can get out and get a super boring ending or something XD

It would be fun if the game was so you COULD escape if you were really fast and reacted quick enough. It makes it more realistic and like people actually missed the opportunity for real and that they COULD have changed their fate. But then if they escaped a button should appear to either go back to spawnpoint or return to menu. It would be the worst ending but a possible one.
kind of like how farcry had the ending where if you just wait for the host to come back you can get an early ending? they really should do that.

Well that was lucky for Gregory to escape that easy in a different way out & not sure by escaping through the doors with nothing else outside besides darkness

The fact they made a whole bunch of outside details when you can barely even see them is incredible to me.

Gregory: “Well I…(sigh). No, I don’t.”
Freddy: “Is this why you broke into the Pizzaplex? So you could gain access to food, water, and shelter?”
Gregory: “Yeah. I had no other choice.”
Freddy: “I see. Well then, here’s what we’ll do. I’ll notify the authorities that ‘An orphaned child has shown up at the Pizzaplex’. I won’t mention your well-intentioned trespassing so you can be processed into foster care. They’ll find you a good home, I know they will.”
Gregory: “I guess that’s fine…but I don’t wanna leave you. You’re my hero, Freddy. You saved my life.”
Freddy: “I appreciate that superstar, but we do not have to completely part ways. You and I will be able to communicate via the Faz-Watch I’ve given you.”
Gregory: “Really? The watch is two-way?”
Freddy: “Of course. Plus, since you have no Guest Profile, you can register someday in the future and come here legitimately. Then we can see each-other again!”
Gregory: “Really? Alright!”
Freddy: “Now then, I want you to wait at the toll booth on the other side of the parking lot. The police won’t take long to get here, and I’ll watch you from a distance until you’re in their capable hands.”
Gregory: “Thanks Freddy. Thanks for everything. (Hugs Freddy)”
Freddy: “You’re welcome my superstar. (Hugs Gregory)”

I'm actually kinda surprised the flag for triggering the leave at 6 A.M. event isn't always active since you can't reach it with the shutters closed.
It would have been cool if the ending where Gregory runs away and sleeps in the alleyway played
This just gives even more evidence that the creators kinda rushed the game? There were times it felt incomplete and people have even said they’ve experienced glitches (E.g. two chica animatronics right next to each other).

If you think about it, if he was able to escape in time, wouldn’t it be a little scary because you would be outside, in the dark, and you probably wouldn’t know your way back home. In Gregory’s case it doesn’t seem like he has a phone to notify his parents so he would be out there in the dark until 6.
