Israel are stuck in limbo as far as Iran is concerned. Geographical size and distance alone are huge factors let alone the optics and geopolitical ramifications and the potential for waves of missiles being fired by Iran in return. For all the bluster from Israel there is no response possible where the final outcome can be predicted in anyway. It will be a massive gamble at a time when they're still fighting the three H's in Gaza, Lebanon and Yemen.
