Many thanks for sharing this chap. You're absolutely right, there isn't much info out there concerning this. I am currently looking to set up a laser module on my 4040-pro so your video is invaluable. Many thanks again.

Many thanks Tony for sharing this essential information. I have only just started on my laser / CNC journey with purchase of the Genmitsu 4040 Pro. SainSmart tech support have not been helpful. So glad that I stumbled across your channel. I am now a dedicated subscriber and will watch all your videos over time and ask questions as I become more familiar with the machine and the accessories. Thaks again from Brisbane Australia.

@@Tonys.Top.Tips.Workshop Hi Tony. I have been engraving 3mm basswood ply with the laser on my 4040 and it seems to be working well. However, I have an issue holding down the ply down flat on the honeycomb to avoid movement and irregularities in the finish, missed sections due to uneven surface. Any suggestions as to how to hold down ply firmly. I have tried painters tape around the ply border, double sided tape under the corners and plastic clamps with variable success. Cheers Kerrod

@@kerrodhallett4944 Hi thanks for your comment I use strong magnets so they hold down the material whilst sticking to the honeycomb bed. You can get plastic clips that push into the honeycomb firmly and hold the material down.

Thanks Tony. I'll give magnets a go. Cheers
