Born to #FaizAhmadFaiz and Alys Faiz, #MoneezaHashmi had her schooling in Lahore from Kinnaird College and Punjab University before obtaining a Masters degree in Education from the University of Hawaii in 1981. Wearing several prominent and professional hats, she is presently into her second term as President of the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association, UK; is handling the international relations of HUM TV as General Manager, Pakistan; is the Project Advisor to Light Storm Entertainment; and Trustee of Faiz Foundation Trust and Faiz Ghar. While her area of specialization lies in primary and elementary education, Moneeza Hashmi entered the world of television in 1974 as Assistant Producer of Pakistan Television (PTV), Lahore, and became a well known household name from the beginning. She retired in 2004 as Director Programmes, the first female to date to head this position. She also started a special television series from #PTV, ‘Khawateen Time’(Female Transmission) promoting awareness on gender, human rights, rights of minorities, reproductive health, education, economic empowerment of women, legal rights, and violence against women. ثمینہ جی اتنا اچھا انٹرویو کرنے کا بہت شکریہ ایسے نایاب لوگوں کو بار بار بلایا کریں ایک نشست ناکافی ھے فیض صاحب کی ایک نظ م نہ جانے میں نے کتنی دفعہ پڑھی ھے ھم کیا کرتے کس راہ چلتے ھر راہ میں کانٹے بکھرے تھے ان رشتوں کے جو ٹوٹ گئے ان صدیوں کے یارانوں کے جو اک اک کر کے چھوٹ گئے یوں پاوں لہو لہان ھوئے سب دیکھنے والے کہتے تھے یہ کیسی ریت بنائی ھے یہ مہندی کیوں لگائی ھے اس لھو کو دھو ڈالو یہ راھیں جب اٹ جائیں گی سو رسرت ان سے پھوٹیں گے تم دل کو سنبھالو جسپر ابھی سو طرح کے نشتر ٹوٹیں گے بہت پرانی یاد ھے شاید اب کچھ غلطیاں بھی شامل ھو گئی ھوں منیزہ آپا نے بھی ان کے جذبات کا یہ اظہار بھی پڑھا ھو گا نہیں تو میری طرف سے نذرانہ عقیدت اللہ فیض صاحب کی مغفرت فرمائے کبھی گالی بھی نہیں دی آمین اج کل کے میڈیا کو دیکھ کر تو ناممکن ھی لگتا ھے مشہور لوگ تو عوا سے بھی زیادہ گالیاں دیتے ھیں

This whole family is extremely respectable , all of them are extremely talented as well. Where should we start ,from Faiz saab or shoaib Hashmi or Muneeza Hashmi or salima Hashmi or Adeel or their daughter,her name isn’t coming to my mind right now. Esay logon ki batein buhat mesmerizing hoti hain . Very well educated but very down to earth people. Samina aap buhat hi haseen mazeed haseen hoti jaa rahi hain mashaAllah.
