Remembering back an American Saddlebred mare "Regina Success" I was 5 yrs. old. The mare had foundered and kept her as a pet. I visited her as often as I could. Dr. and Mrs. Fairchild her owners would tell me the stories behind this champion 5 gaited mare. She wore pads under her shoes. She loved attention. I would sneak to get on her back from the fence and we would just sit as long as I dare. As I grew up, so did she. She passed away when she was 30 yrs. old and I was 15 yrs. So when I read your enlightening info. memories flooded in. Now I know this is why what happened to her then. My dear friend Rexi, keep your horses as your friends. We were happy girls together. I will be 70 next month. Still a child at heart remembering my friend, thanks to your caring for horses like you do, but you also help us people feel better too. 💐🕯️🐎
Oat sprouts and alfalfa sprouts were thought to be a factor because of the natural chemicals in the sprouts. Any grains sprouting under a feed tub we're pulled up immediately.
