Penang in my eyes is a very special location. A smaller Hong Kong. Inexpensive in many ways . The blue Mansion is Inexpensive and great food . Penang hill be very careful of the monkeys 🐒.
I am from Penang. The video scene on Love Lane is incorrect. And Kek Lok SI Temple is nearby to Penang Hill but not accessible from top of Penang Hill unless the visitor wishes ro go through the deep hill top jungle. Kek Lok Si Temple is on nearer pathway from Penang Ayer Itam Market.

Hi Langkawi and Penang are very different. Langkawi has more nature related activities, skybridge, waterfalls, beaches, snorkeling, island hopping etc. Penang is more about culture and food. Penang I think at least 3day2night,1 full day to explore Georgetown, 1 full day to go to kek Lok si temple and Penang hill

Monkeys only bother you IF you have food visible.
