I love this pattern!! Thank you for tying it. To everyone who asks Davie to tie specific patterns, thank you for your unselfishness. Together you are saving my sanity.
Great tying of this fly as always David if we only could get a bit of rain to give us a chance to fish this little beautiful fly as all ours rivers and lakes are crying out for some rain over here in Ireland 🇮🇪 your flies & the tying of these fantastic flies are time's less thanks again David
We are getting used to this wonderfull tying. Maybe you know, maybe you don't, but you are really a great inspiration. I honestly must say I'm not very creative, so in my tying I'm dependent on what other people make. You Davie are my inspiration. Thanks a lot for the work you're doing and keep tying these wonderfull flies. As always tight lines 🎣 from the Čech Republic 🇨🇿.
It’s a great pattern, I usually tie three versions. One with a Biot abdomen , one with a green bead for the thorax, and one dubbed . Very effective usually sizes 22 to 14 . Thanks for the video
Off topic a little Davie. I caught one of your videos from a year ago but! You had no gray hair and I had to look twice to make sure it was you. Then I remembered that I think you mentioned awhile back you I think, said you had digitalized some older videos? I was in Scotland in 1985, I wish I had known of you then! Cheers!
That’s a very good looking emerger. Is that dubbing made of artificial or natural fibers? It looks effective for making a nice, thin noodle. I’m looking for replacements for my old, soon-to-run-out Superfine Antron dubbing. I particularly like it for situations where I don’t want to make the fly sink like wool or rabbit fur dubbing would.
Superb, as ever sir. You said in a recent video that you'd came across sheets of closed cell foam in Ayr, where did you get this Davie, if you don't mind? much appreciated.
Good morning/day/ evening....whichever this finds you in. Dave, after years of watching your videos...on different devices.( since 2008 ), I finally have a way to communicate while enjoying your vids , watching...quietly from the willow bushes along the river.... But, I must ask a question.... I received a reply from you, in my message a few days ago, offering "something for me", if I texted you on Telegram... Seemed a little suspicious to my wife, and myself.... I have nothing against gifts.....but...it does seem a little odd... If your site is being used to scam people we thought you should know.. If indeed it WAS you, I would be honored to "hook" up, and get on the line with you...if not, and someone is baiting me, best not to grab that lure... No matter which, I will continue to watch and learn, while enjoying what you are casting our way...( my wife is shaking her head at my humor). Thanks for all that you have done, and are doing... I do have a story to tell you today... A personal story...involving drama and fear...ending in excitement and joy....which you helped deliver along with Don Freschi, Brian Chan, and April Vokey... I received a back injury, in 2006, which took me a year and a half to learn to walk again and walk up stairs or on and off a curb without debilitating pain...not sure I would ever be able to walk again...( that is the fear part) I built a computer at that time and discovered Sport Fishing on the Fly.... I saw Don and Brian's enthusiasm ,as well as the science which Brian has so helpfully shared, as well as his many other accomplishments. I discovered your stuff along that time, with April's as well...this all took place between 2006-10...my mom died of cancer, in 2010 but she gave me a gift as well, in that time... The cash, on my birthday, to buy a real fly rod and kit...along with making me promise to not pay bills with the cash...so I did just that.. My first summer of flyfishing, I landed over 200 trout and other fish.... I had to tie my own flies....I was losing too many... I still have some of my first flies...sure looked better back then... Hence, running into your stuff.. Davie, You are responsible for my fly tying library, which is fairly large...O.C.D. my wife says.. Thank you... You folks are responsible for my being able to walk and fish again... You folks gave me the desire to get back out there.... You helped give me my legs back..... I started flyfishing, tying and loving our planet again. I have been able to thank Don, personally a couple of times, as we live in the same area.. But, never yourself, Brian, nor April....in person... So, I would like to do that.... Thank you for your part in this game of life, which has a different ending for me, now, than it would have had.... The woods and waters have been mine again, since 2008.... Joe...

Wonderful. You are a blessing to us all. With our Professors. McPhail and Ord Clarke, it's like attending an Oxford college for a fly dressing degree.
We are getting used to this wonderfull tying.

That’s one heck of a nice looking fly Davie. CDC bubbles seem to make the fly float forever. Could you use Superfine for the body material? Thanks
👍👍👏👏

Hi Greg,
I bought the foam from The Range over at the Heathfield Shopping Park, I'm glad you liked the fly..
All the very best Davie..
@@DavieMcPhail Ideal sir, I'll pop up this evening!. Hopefully the rain forecast over the next few days actually happens too.
