    Hey, Matt. Peter Flannery here. And I have to say... phew! Glad you liked it :)
    Just watched your review and I'm immensely grateful for your kind words. I also think your summary was pretty good because that's not easy to do. I'll probably say hello on Twitter, but I just thought I'd confirm that I am currently working on a prequel (working title, AQUILA) and I will then go on to write a sequel. These are intended to serve as bookends for the main book, and I'm hoping that they will form a satisfying conclusion for the reader.
    Thanks for Joining me on Falco's journey. All the best, Peter

      Hey Peter. I bought your book this past weekend and I’m excited to read through it. If I can, would you recommend potentially waiting to read the upcoming prequel before I dive into Battle Mage? I’m willing to wait, and I already bought the book, so I’m committed 😂

    • @b.h.7661
      @b.h.7661 8 месяцев назад +3

      Hi Nick. Great question, and the answer is no :) @@NickLindner I would definitely read the main book first. In fact, I will be putting a note in the prequel, recommending that people read Battle Mage first. I don't spend as much time setting up the world in the prequel, and many things that happen have greater significance because you have read the main book. The prequel also contains information that would act as spoilers for the main book. So, definitely go with the main book followed by the prequel, which will then lead on to the sequel. Hope that makes sense! :)

    Loved this book! Picked it up on audible on a whim and was blown away by how good it was and how literally nobody talks about this book! Definitely wish there were more books in the series

    I’ve come across this book in the past but didn’t know anyone who had read it so never really felt confident in giving it a try. Now I know it’s worth a go!

    Right there with you on this book being awesome! I also felt that there was plenty of room for expansion and wish it was more than a stand alone! Thanks for this review and thanks to Steve Z for putting it on your radar! I doubt I would've ever found it on my own!

    I loved this book and am beyond thrilled we are getting more books! Where the author left our main characters at the end of the book…let’s just say, I need to know what happened next. Badly.

    I loved this one. Very accessible prose. Incredible character arcs. Genuine tension building where you really feel like ‘How the heck are they going to defeat this thing’. I don’t like books where the protagonist is written way too strong with way too many convenient resources/friends (looking at you, “Terminal List”), because the payoff in the end feels rather weak. But this was just an Awesome stand alone

    A suggestion.
    Not a single booktuber has reviewed Gods of Bronze.
    Well, i guess that shows its not good.
    Is the typical modern historical novel who has been dressed as fantasy for apease the current fantasy fashion.
    No fantasy novel set in the bronze age comes to my mind.
