I thoroughly enjoyed this exchange between Amoda and Rick. And I never tire of listening to Amoda. Her words and her "energy" always take me back home. She is truly a divine gift and a blessing. Thank you to both of you.
I just want to say, for the record, that I found Amoda to be one of more intelligent, insightful, and articulate people I've interviewed. I think she has a lot to offer. I admire her willingness to continually upgrade her teaching as she grows, as well as to admit that she's still growing - some teachers won't do that. And I admire her tendency to offer practical steps and procedures. Some teachers are good at describing their own experience but bad at offering methods to attain it oneself.
Whaou....beautiful colors appear at 37:22!!! When Amoda talks about letting go of the memory of the mystical experience but infuses its into her daily life...with a very nice smile ;-)
This is a great interview. I like to hear women teachers who are logical as well as emotional - I guess that is my own hang-up. She was very nice about Rick's own hang-up about God and the evolution of the universe. Her interview on conscioustv has a different slant without the vision.
I knew Amoda, and I can testify that she's smart, and absolutely sincere and means what she says. She's also worked a hell of a lot on herself and done many and varied practices from different traditions, with tons of energy and effort. She's also a good teacher for many people who are on her wavelength. She is absolutely NOT a "charlatan" as boatmanalan rudely says. However, I agree with him to this extent: I don't think she's in the same area as the "classic" BATGP Advaita interviewees. The area she's in is interesting, no doubt (at least to me), but it's a world away from someone like, say, Adyashanti or Francis Lucille (two "gold standard" people in this area, IMHO).
Lol it can't be that bad, you must have missed the interview with Reality Sandwich co-founder Talat Jonathan Phillips... This interview here isn't that bad imho but I don't get the point of going over expensively all those "experiences" when the person themselves admits later in the same interview that it's all mind made and not the truth. Same for Jac Keeffe and her Leprechauns and whatnot :/
Your comment is rude insulting and arrogant and displays only your own inner demons. I would say to you that I pray you shut the ...up. You add nothing to the conversation..

Thankyou for sharing your journey Amoda. Many things I recognise here. I wish you all the love on your continuing path of self creation and discovery.
These two hours took me "in the zone" once again. Thank so much guys.

gurugeorge This is a lucid distinction. Agree with your gold standard examples.
Good interview
thank you for this interview. I do like style. Rick, when are you going to bring Michael Singer to BATGP? The untethered soul is a power house.
Beautiful darling girl!
What's there not to love?
Can you interview me on the show please
What is englightenment, is it different to being knowledgeable?
She was asked and invited to go over them.
