One important question: if I took a taxi from the Istanbul Airport to this hotel, can my taxi drop me off in the car porch of this hotel? Or does my taxi have to drop me off some distance away, and I would have to drag my heavy luggage and walk to this hotel?
Rooms are small. The price is high due to the location. You can easily stay somewhere else for much less $$ and be in this tourist trap within 10 minutes by public transport. Yes, it is a nice area but prices are excessive because of the Galata port and taking advantage of the cruise ship passengers who frequent this area.
Prices are excessive everywhere in the world. The area, Karakoy, is a fascinating area and worth every penny & minute. It has a hotel option for every budget too.
