Hello Ken! Glad to hear from you! Love the pencil holder! Been busy my mom turned 80 we had a nice surprise party for her. We have to take a little class soon to learn about dialysis for mom in the future. I hope all is going well for you and your family, Merry Christmas and a happy healthy new year!
Jackie, Thanks for getting back to me, I'm glad all is well, Yes my mother in law went on dialysis, It can be challenging for sure! Dialysis requires A salt free diet as much as possible, There's a really fine line in the balance.

Look for some tutorials, On how to use a Lathe. They can be dangerous, Is there a speed controller on the motor from slow to fast? Is summer just one speed.
Don't stand on the back side of it.
Sometimes it can come loose while spinning,
Watch how the turners are holding their tools, I had a friend help me to understand these things he had experience. You should be able to find the book, For beginners.
... I am not trying to scare you they can be fun, but there are Definite, Dangers. But like anything more familiar, you get with it, the easier it becomes. So it's definitely worth learning about it, and getting familiar with it.
