No we are not friends with russia and germany and it is impossible keeping in mind the state of mind of both countries.

The Polish 303 Hurricane Squadron claimed the largest number of aircraft shot down of the 66 Allied fighter squadrons engaged in the Battle of Britain, even though it joined the fray two months after the battle had begun. @@BB.Beyond.Borders Until the 18th century, Russia always lost wars against Poland in one-on-one combat. In the 18th century, when Russia was ruled by a German woman called Tsarina Catherine, she came up with the idea to attack Poland from three sides by its three neighbors. What pains Poles the most is Austria's attitude in this matter, because in 1683 the Polish king and the Polish army saved the capital of Austria, Vienna, from capitulation to the Turkish army and the occupation of all of Austria and the German states by Turkey. We buy more of these weapons, especially artillery and rocket launchers, than we need. This means that we have so much that in the event of an attack, we can immediately give some of these weapons to anyone who is our ally and will need a weapon registry. We do not want to use this weapon, it is supposed to deter a possible enemy from attacking us. That's why this is not secret information and we officially say how much of something I want to buy. We don't want a war, we just want to avoid a possible attack on our country.

Aka Belarus and some lower regions. Those were current Polish territories. Its essentially a conflict over the east of Europe including some historical influence of the Dutch and Sweden. 15-18th centuries or so. Since Peter The Great the idea lived on and was later adapted into the tyranical rules of future russia

Poland is building its own military strength, and at the same time the Polish Air Force plays the role of "air police" in the Baltic countries such as Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The Polish Air Force protects the airspace of these lands. This obligation applies to EU countries, for a periodicaly about 6 months

Hi awsome couple! :) I watched many of your clips with real pleasure. In this one you are so ... cute :) I'm 68' Pole and I was witnessing Russian troops leaving PL in the end of cold war era ( I was drinking vodka with some of them:)) and I can tell you that only people from ex "eastern" countries are able to really understand what Russia is really capable to do. I don't see any will in Polish society to go to war or conquer any country but Russians understand only " the language of the fist". You all saw how they treat people in Ukraine - there's no arrangement with them, no talks. You are strong or you disappear from the map and your people are getting harrasment, rape and death. Let me give you an example. If U.S. invades PL for regular Pole it would look like exchange the government only. We'd still able to speak our language, go to work, build a future. Nothing like that when Russians comes. They bring theft, rape and murders with them. It became Polish saying - expression " peace att all costs " does not exist in Polish dictionary. Greetings from free PL.

I don't think it is possible to completly avoid talking about politic, because politic is not some isolated being. It has impact on people lives. If it comes to war and people are dying or being raped and cripled, do we still consider it being politic? We should talk about those things and try to raise awareness of society in that field. Without aproval of society political powers don't have enought strength to make those necessary investments that will provide our seccurity

Hi, a couple of things that I hope would answer some of your questions.
No, Poland is not the biggest army in Europe and I don't think we are planning to be. There's a lot of space between us and the French and the UK at the moment. That said there is a plan to build it up in order to be prepared for a conflict. And the conflict is possible - Putin is crazy and even yesterday there ware a Russian missile, that entered Polish airspace for about half a minute, before returning to Ukraine.
As for announcing this stuff - for one it's not really possible to have it hidden away. Plus it has two more additional purposes, one it shows domestically that Poland is preparing and we will be ready to in case something happens. Secondly, externally it shows to Russia that they will need to think twice before doing something stupid. Also, and I don't know if the video mentioned that, a lot of stuff Poland is buying are not the whole systems, but parts of it, whole things being produced here. For example HIMARS are not as the whole trucks with launchers, but just the launchers, which will be attached to domestically produced Jelcz (pronounced Yelcz, cz like in czech) trucks, reducing costs and boosting our economy. Or in other words - the opposite of austerity.
Will this cause other countries to do so as well? Well, realistically speaking the only other countries are Belarus and Russia that we care about. Russia already is on full blown war economy, so it'd be hard for them to arm even more then they already do. Belarus on the other hand... let me say this. A lot of people thing that Lukashenko is an idiot - he's not, he's a very capable dictator, with a simple ambition of staying in power, not go to prison and not much else really. With the war in Ukraine he started to signal that he'd be all right with some sort of turn towards the EU and Poland. Because war for him would mean abrupt end to his power, and he doesn't want that. As for all of other Polish neighbors, all of them are part of NATO, so it'd be good for us if they did the same.
Why K2-PL and not some other tank like Leclerk or Leopard? I honestly don't know. Probably because of the policy to manufacture as much as possible locally. One for logistics reasons, two because local production means taxes are payed here as well and some of the costs are recuperated that way (and reduces unemployment and costs of unemployment benefits).
Best city in Poland? I really love Gliwice. I live next to it in Katowice, which is my 2nd favorite. It's close to mountains and both are very close to nature. Come and see them sometime :)

Media nonsense. The fact is that Poland orders a lot of equipment (military scrap), but not to defend its own country, but to fill the wallets of American military companies. The situation was similar before the outbreak of World War II, when the then Polish government bought exorbitantly expensive and completely unnecessary floating military scrap.

Unity Day, also called the Day of People's Unity or National Unity Day (Russian: День народного единства, romanized: Denʹ narodnogo yedinstva), is a national holiday in Russia held on 4 November [O.S. 22 October]. It commemorates the popular uprising which ended the Polish occupation of Moscow in November 1612, and more generally the end of the Time of Troubles and turning point of the Polish intervention in Russia.

You ask why Russia wants more territories. It's not about territories, but about imperialism, control and the sphere of influences. Just like it was earlier, for centuries. Starting from the Partitions of Poland (1795-1918), then the war with Bolsheviks and Soviet Red Army in 1920, then the war and attack in September 1939, later the communist times (1945-1989). So it's nothing new. That's how Russia just was, and still is. Undemocratic, authoritarian, imperialistic regimes wanting to spread their ideology further and to take people's freedom. Nothing new. It just comes back, like in the past, after some years of peace.

We must realize that Poland, due to its geographical location, is a natural buffer with Russia for the West. We were already "part of the Eastern Bloc" and now we are a NATO/EU flank. After the collapse of the USSR, we were quickly included in NATO and the European Union. And that's a good thing, because what is currently happening in Ukraine could happen to us. Russia has imperial ambitions, it remembers the past, and we have dealt with them in the past (only we managed to take over Moscow and capture the tsar).
There is a saying: "He who cannot remember the past is doomed to relive it" by George Santayana.
We have enough experience and something to draw from.

25:17 - it was an Ukrainian air defence missile, that malfunctioned and did not selfdestruct after missing the target.
this accident is still a grain of salt in POL-UKR relations because Ukrainian military stated that this was not their missile, and when proven oderwise they did not appologise.
but yes, we blame russia for this event, couse their attack was the reason of air defence usage.
