Worked in a factory where we used Isocynates foam to keep stainless steel cyclinders from getting scratch during shipment.I became sensitized & have occupational asthma & lung disease for life.No MSDS information or protection wear.Check out the hazards of your job around chemicals !!

I work at a foam factory and have developed an allergy to this stuff. This stuff is terrible don’t get it in your home.

I did some car painting using a 2K clear that contained isocyanates. I used a chemical respirator and thought everything was cool because I couldn't smell anything. Big mistake. The respirator was probably too old, and my lungs were poisoned. I've been on steroids, both oral and inhaled for a couple weeks now. I'm not sure I'm in the clear, or if I'll ever be. That shit is terrible. Stay away from it unless you have very high quality safety gear.

Did it improve? I just did the same mistake.

Did you change your respirator cartridges daily? I did when I was in the Chemical industry and I always checked the chart for compatibility. If the Company I worked for can further expand the list of LowFree isocyanate polyurethanes

I'm not a terribly huge believer in foam insulation... i prefer asbestos.

Foam insulation is basically poison. I had do move out of my old house because of it. No matter how much time passed or how much we aired it out I could never breathe well in the upstairs rooms because we had the attic filled up with that crap.

Spraying on walls is like spraying back in can, bottom always wet and gassing off.
    Foam or Car Paint-
Do not use unless you have access to a fresh air line supply type respirator.
Charcoal filters mask won't cut it.

PU foam if flammable, may release cyanide gas when burning and may gas off if sprayed at location.
PIR foam is flammable and may release cyanide gas when burning.
Asbestos is not flammable but, well, we know the downsides by now.
Glass wool is not flammable but the fibers are believed to be carcinogenic when inhaled.
Mineral wool is not flammable but the fibers are believed to be carcinogenic when inhaled.
      So, what should we use?

@@Aranimdayeah that’s why my question too. what do we use then. i’m kinda exposed to fiber glass because i work in low voltage and when passing cables through walls sometimes the fiber glass touched our arms and skin. But that’s not that bad it’s when we are working and the fiber glass is being installed because only ppl installing the fiberglass insulation have PPE but the other construction works l that do plumbing welding low voltage or whatever the case may be don’t have PPE for fiber insulation
