I'm quite thankful for Disney's Lucasfilm Star Wars ran by Kennedy. I walked away, i went to something that inspired Lucas & Tarantino films. I found and fell in love with Post Imperial Japanese Classic Samurai Cinema. No culture war crap, no woke or anti-woke, it just is classic cinema. The best stories ever told like Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, the best characters like Sanjurō Kuwabatake/Sanjurō Tsubaki and Ogami Ittō. Naturally anime like Samurai Champloo, decided to check out the manga that Lone Wolf & Cub was based on, fell in love with it. This stuff is funny but I'm no longer mad or offfended. I'm too invested in Ogami Ittō protecting his child Daigoro while smashing Restudo's Yagyū Clan and taking jobs for 500 Ryo. Just do not care about modern Western entertainment, they can keep it.

I'm quite thankful for Disney's Lucasfilm Star Wars ran by Kennedy. I walked away, i went to something that inspired Lucas & Tarantino films. I found and fell in love with Post Imperial Japanese Classic Samurai Cinema. No culture war crap, no woke or anti-woke, it just is classic cinema. The best stories ever told like Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, the best characters like Sanjurō Kuwabatake/Sanjurō Tsubaki and Ogami Ittō. Naturally anime like Samurai Champloo, decided to check out the manga that Lone Wolf & Cub was based on, fell in love with it.
This stuff is funny but I'm no longer mad or offfended. I'm too invested in Ogami Ittō protecting his child Daigoro while smashing Restudo's Yagyū Clan and taking jobs for 500 Ryo. Just do not care about modern Western entertainment, they can keep it.
As an artist myself, I learned very quickly that if you get angry at criticism, it's only because you know they are right. If you take on criticism and act on it, you become a better artist.

It's the preaching, condescending, self-righteousness, narcissistic, virtue signaling, smugness, and entitlement these people display when pushing these things. And the way they condemn anyone who doesn't see things the same way they do. And I agree you have to respect the lore and established rules when building on a pre-existing IP.
