While the vessels and their beautiful hauls are absolutely incredible, the clown who edited this piece was so caught up in cutting to the music that the opportunity to see these vessels in their full glory was lost. Why don't you leave shots of these vessels on the screen for more than one second so the folks who admire these wonders of marine architecture can admire them.
No commentary needed. Blooming beautiful, especially when you have been on a semi (Drilling Rig for the uninitiated) for 28 days. Wish I had a couple of these to play with when I was in the Game.
The design work of these boats is very excellent!
Its a pleasure to currently be onboard the yellow PSV MV Emerald
Chaotic. No explanations. Fairly invasive music...
These ships are amazing!!!
Those are some impressive ships if I was going to be a captain those ships would be my top choice in working as a captain or a big tug. I would never want to be on a very large ship just going around the world. Running supply ships or a big tractor tug would have excitement and be very challenging plus you are actually working the vessel instead of going straight on autopilot 99 percent of the time
Nice vessel ❤
Save
The new designs would make a great start for an Exploration Yacht.
When being seasick is not a problem
Check out the super yacht Ragnar
MASHAALLAH khub valo video.....
Would be nice if the cut is not as quick. Really cool ships!!
Amazing stay safe everybody.im new friend from philippines.
Évidemment très sérieux...équipements adéquats.....merci à vous tous..ad
Watching these incredible ships make me wish I’d joined the Navy - Not the Army. What Amazing kit to retire too. They truly are vessels of the Future. CHRIS FOSS A The famous air brush painter of hyper SCI FI space ships . Painted a picture of a Alien deep sea vessel. It’s a ringer for these high Nose ships. With helicopters pads etc etc excellent. Thanks
Ive been on one of those vessels! Olympic Energy, had a great time on board there!
Wouawww... Amazing boats ! 😯😎👍
I work for Solstad we have lots of interesting vessels but mine is just a plain old psv “ far symphony “ and she’s good 👍
Love the music.
" danheim " he's amazing
Ships look very capable but I'm fine right here on dry land 😂
1:30 What are those ? Never seeen those before.
Coolest looking ships
Coolest music
Sounds like Danheim - Tyrfing I think the song was called
1:37
What type of propeller is this???
Despite the more comfortable accommodations and better safety gear and offshore oil platform supply work is still far more brutal than any land based oilfield supply job. Those hyper macho North Dakota oilfield workers would completely wimp out on one of these rough and tumble boats or puke over the side.
Hilarious. Its not the toughest job in the world.... Its quite boring.
You sure as hell got that right. I would include “Red Necks” from Hicks, Louisiana and Texas. Imagine trying to get off the Deepwater Horizon in a North Sea Blow.
@@itsnotalwaysblackandwhite8624 Doubt it. Its a holiday for those guys.
@@Norwegian733 Yeah your right for some, maybe. Remember pulling out of Point Black (Noirwar) West Africa, being told by the skipper who was drunk as a skunk at the time, not to puke over the Port Side as it had just been painted. Anyway your lot are descended from the Vikings seawater in the blood. Stay Safe.
@@Norwegian733 Have you been around the world doing supply and anchorhandling maybe,mr expert
I would also like to know what the vane type props are at 1:30
Awesome video. Parts of the audio creep me out... Like whispers from Davy Jones Locker.
Really great 👍
no time to watch a vessel, when showed. What is the use of that fast switching images?
How you can work as a seafarer on these type vessels??
this would have been a great video if they let us see just one of the ships for more then 2 seconds
Having seen the documentary on the offshore support vessel project Walk2Work, I have been more interested in these vessel types and their roles and their operating conditions.
The thought of trying to carry out a crew or cargo transfer in that sea state doesn't bear thinking about, though like helicopters, they probably have a maximum sea state after which it would be unsafe for both the rig and the support vessel to proceed.
They not that stupid to put the crew on board in heavy weather. They just anchor or position nearby the rig and wait till the weather is safe enough to proceed operations. Safety first in the shipping industry.
Brutal to have the bridge right forward at the bows like that... take it all right in the face...
Pilot house forward seems like a great idea until you get hit with the sea, then it becomes an express elevator going up and down with every waive
The trick is staying in ur bunk or drinking a cup of coffee. Master them and youl be fine
wave
That’s incredibly dangerous.
I liked the music after I had a moment to get into it, but the cuts from clip to clip were way too fast, no time to take in the pictures.
Very interesting theme, but to fast cutted video
Amazing boats
A ship will always be at the mercy of the sea !
I am sure, i Will work at there.
1:31 😳 what are those?
Great video, love to know how the camera is perfectly level ? the music was terrible.
What is the name of the yellow boat ?
Waoooo mengerikan bossku
2:32 what model is that?
reminds me of the san-Antonio class, maybe a predecessor
Patrol boat from Damen, Netherlands. products.damen.com/en/ranges/fast-crew-supplier/fcs-5009-patrol
@@alexanderheinrich9287 thank you mate. That is interesting info there.
Cheers!
Missing supply vessels that you show being in any storms. Just showing brand new vessel and intermittent cliche clip of different era
Cool, i know i could never do that work.
What am I looking at at 1:31?
Heroes? Everyone it's a "hero" nowadays".
as a seafarer, all i can think of is trying to sleep in that weather.
Do they sleep in survival suits?
Could someone tell me the name of the song pls?
Haja trabalho, haja coragem!!
i like ocean
Not the same weather conditions I’d like to see the x bow ships in rough weather conditions to compare properly
I agree with Ter
Nicee.
X bow is counter intuitive but seems to work . Less wave energy transmission to bow .
Like a Uboat running on surface.
will the military utilize x bow-- if not why not?
no place for guns on the forward deck. Also makes for a nice target. Closest thing you will see is the Zumwalt class
I Love that Life.
They almost leave no wave, no wave not much footprint safeguarding derrossion of our shores :)
Should we call it Boauck? Or Boack?
I probably don’t know what I’m talking about, but it sure looks like those wave cutting bows lead to lots of pitching in high seas. I think it would pitch less if it just rode the waves like an old North Sea trawler. At least in really high seas. In lesser seas, the wave cutting bow and high polar moment of inertia surely provide a smoother ride, but this video looks like underdamped oscillation.
If you look up X bow comparison on RUclips you'll see that there is far less slamming, they pitch similarly but they are far more comfortable to be onboard and can maintain a good speed, one of NAO supply boats recently was doing 6knts comfortably in 80+knts of wind off shetland
High metacenter...
Maybe a active damper weight midship could interrupt period of ocilattion and calm period of vibration.
Are they trying to avoid active stabilization fins? Of course they would need pitch control, like the horizontal stabilizers on an airplane. Submarines have it, of course. Apparently they also use them on SWATH ships for waves that are too high for the length of the struts. Certainly the SWATH ferries are amazing.
@@glypnir I think maybe due to the conditions these vessels work it is quite likely that something like that could be damaged in severe weather
heavy seas
Correct the mistakes in the title please
The modern bow design there is very interesting. I wonder when they made the decision it was better than the traditional style.
Hydrodynamics the reverse XBows like ALP Striker are the deal I think less loss of forward momentum in heavy weather less up and down
@@paxwallacejazz I googled that boat. Very impressive. You wonder what would have to happen for one of these modern anchor or supply vessel boats to sink. They look so incredibly purpose built for their duties and the high seas.
When the existence of freak waves was finally acknowledged. The new bow design is supposed to better tackle big waves.
Funny how all the ships are empty?? I’ve never seen a video of them actually carrying anything 🤷🏻♂️
They're carrying diesel fuel and fresh water to be supplied to the oil rig.
These newer designed ships look so nose heavy.
To better tackle big waves. New design came up with the acknowledgement of the existence of freak waves.
Wow that ship looks Mudskipper, design for heavy waves and bad nature conditions
They look like bullet train , whether air or water design is the same
I'm seafarer also...love ocean 🥰💖
Too quick! Switched off.
Muito lindo mais nunca que vou viajar de navio
Very nice video friend banae plz dost.
I don’t understand, in the title you mention PSV’s (platform supply vessels) and then in the video you put almost all kind of vessels that you can find in the offshore industry!? Starting with supply vessels, anchor handling vessels, construction vessels, wind service vessels, diving support vessels, etc. Maybe your title should be offshore vessels, not supply vessels. Also, you forgot to mention the most important type of the vessels for the North sea offshore industry and those are ERRV’s! Emergency response and rescue vessels! Each offshore installation needs to have one at ALL TIMES and they are the ONLY ones that remain on the position when the worst weather hits!
J'adore vos bateaux. J'aimerais qu'une marine de ''travail'' moderne réapparaisse propulsée par le vent .... Mat turbine, voile profile bis convexe à grands allongements ....Le pétrole c'est fini fini; alors gaz !...
I love your boats. I would like a modern "working" navy to reappear propelled by the wind .... Turbine mast, bis-convex profile sail with high aspect ratios .... Oil is over; then gas! ...
It's unpleasant to watch with very fast, short, clipped images.
I think the crew can't sleep very well and eats
They are not heroes, please use the word properly.
There is my vessel at 3:02
Dang, how much?
@@joshuagraves2530 what do you mean?
Jesus proteja todos.
if you have never ridden the bow of a ship or boat, get ready to become airborne and hurl puke while you are bouncing off the overhead. Design does not look people friendly but may be seaworthy. I'll pass.
2:32 u-boat
There lived a certain man in Russia long ago....

👌👌👍
🙏🙏😍😍🌊🚢 ⚓
im just trying to wrap my head around the bulbous bow, its only affective in the water, and the north sea is rough, so seems like a waste to me, but i might be speaking out of my ass
I think the positioning of the two lifeboats is a terrible idea... tucked away like that..... the only way to get to them is from inside the vessel seems like a really bad idea. Also if the ship was listing badly to either side, that would make one of the lifeboats useless!
Well the David that holds MOB boats on board go far out to cope for the list, and they’re not really life boats, but rafts. In case of an emergency and the David is still operational they are uset to tow the life rafts, but i bet you knew that:)
Come on, surely you can spell check vessels and heavy.
👍👍
1-2 sek clips is absolutely annoying....
👌
