You really can't go wrong with Vessel. I have had the occasion to work with crews from Japan on a Honda supplier and for Kubota. Those guys had their tools shipped from Japan ahead of them vessel was the brand most prevalent in the tool crates.
I have the vessel , and after 40 years of regular use. Still going strong. The vessel has a bigger striking area and comes with 2 long impact drivers . That I use on starter motor solenoid screws and red motor timing gears.
I’ve got a K Tool impact driver. I don’t use it very often, but it works fine. Used it a couple weeks ago to change my rotors. It has a metal case with a few bits and extractors. This one does look real nice, and if I didn’t have one good enough (for me), I’d probably snag it.
Hello CP & FRIENDS: Another informative video Chad. I didn't know that Vessel made impact devices. Well you hot it from the best source I know JDTCO !!! My best to you and Henry, TMP from N.J.
I found a vintage one appears to be in excellent condition for $37. The vintage only adds to the coolness of the tool. The old metal case looks like it’s still in great condition.
That thing looks really sweet CP! Think I’ll pick one of those up to replace my cheap one with. You can’t go wrong for $50 bucks!! Thanks for the info!
I’ve had my eye on that impact driver for some time now. I don’t use one enough to warrant replacing my current impact driver but I won’t hesitate to get that one due to the awesome grip. 🔧👑
I have been using that model impact for 30 years. It's been faultless , it's been used a lot with no mercy. I have replaced many driver bits, and it is in the original steel case. Buy one and you will never regret it 👍👍👍👍👍
I never did like rubber grips on impact drivers, they tend to slip off after prolonged use, I'm curious how this one will hold up after a few years of use.
Looks like a great impact driver for 50 bucks. Im sure i spent more than that on my matco kit ive had for a few years. Doesnt have the nice hand protector like that one. But it came with a few more bits
I am new to this internet thing. I do enjoy your stuff. Help me out here please, How does the Capri impact driver compare to the Vessel? It is less money and comes with a case.
@@CPthetooladdict well I’ve had my eye on the Koken one or the vim one I like the size an weight on both of them but now bringing the vessel one to my attention I’d like to see a side to side comparison weight size dimensions all that good stuff
CP! I'd be interested to see your opinion on a kind of rare tool not too many people talk about, but the old craftsman wrench sockets. They are part numbers 42800 for SAE and 42801 for metric. They are pass through design sockets for the box end of your ratchet wrench. I bought a set and they are great for giving you that extra reach where the 0° offsets wont reach and a traditional socket and ratchet are too big!!!
Ace Hardware brand tools are produced by various manufacturers, as Ace Hardware does not manufacture its own tools. Instead, the Ace brand serves as a private label that sources products from multiple Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). This means that different Ace tools may come from different companies, which can lead to variations in quality and performance.
The "corners" in a JIS bit/driver have a sharper + shape than a philips bit where the inner corners are rounded. It's easier to see this by comparing a bit/driver of each type The +'s in the JIS fasteners also have sharper corners, so the rounded inner corners on the philips bits/drivers don't allow the bit to fully engage. However, the JIS bit will fully engage with a philips fastener as the sharp inner corners of the JIS bits/drivers results in a clearance to the rounded inner corners of the + on the philips fastener This makes the JIS components slightly more expensive to produce as there are sharper corners in the mass produced fasteners, but IMHO they are a superior upgrade to the somewhat flawed philips design which cams-out too easily. The severe drawback is that philips drivers destroy JIS fasteners, as every budding mechanic finds out the hard way!

Used this for years. It’s a beast and a joy to use.
I would love to see a comparison between this and the Koken. I’ve been eyeing the Koken.
Incredible video brother. Thanks for sharing. Nice impact driver. Keep the videos coming. Hope you enjoy your night. Much love and RESPECT
Thanks! You too!
Vessel is awesome- That driver looks awesome! 😃👍
I think so too! Thanks John I sent some subscribers your way hopefully you can answer there questions about some old tools

Looks high quality CP. I scored the snap on PIT120 kit for $50 from a friend and never needed another.

When I bought my snap on impact driver back in 85 I thought $350 was a lot look at the inflation now
Wish I had seen that when I was shopping around for one
yes..this impact driver is hands down the best driver out there....i absolutely love mine!!!!
That's awesome guys are worrying about the rubber grip separating lol
Love the USA made Lisle impact driver I have, used it a handful of years and it still works mint. Like $20 when I bought it.

@@timwalsh5568 Thanks Tim!
Great point!
here's a maybe dumb question I've always been too afraid to ask irl: why/when would you use a hand impact instead of air/battery impact?
For drake rotor screws
It drives the tool in as well as twist all in one shot..like holding in on a Philip's head screw & trying to turn at the same time..
With a hammer force..
I never did like rubber grips on impact drivers, they tend to slip off after prolonged use, I'm curious how this one will hold up after a few years of use.
This one ain't going anywhere its stuck on well!!
I have the snap-on set, payed $250 or more. From my experience it mandatory. I’d love to see this and hand impact work. Thank you CP bro
Good choice!
The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of having a 1/2 drive in addition to my 3/8
You cannot go wrong with jdtco. Great information cp keep the videos coming.
Thanks, will do!

Right on

I would definitely get the VESSEL just my opinion
Hey cp. been loving the new content! I’m ordering me one of those vessel units thanks for sharing brother
Awesome! Thank you!
Much better than what I have great video as always my brother 👍👍
You are the best
Could you do a comparison to Koken
How so?

there is something VERY satisfying about usu=ing a hand impact.
I had an old NAPA that disappeared , so I have a Tekton 1/2" now that Is very good
Agreed I don't get to use it often but when I do and I'm successful it's beer worthy lol
Induction heater , & one of those. 95%+ will back out .
Where can I get that snap on mat?
Snap-on
I’m digging the packing it came inn

I have those and almost never use them, the Kabo ratchet wrenches work better.
Can u get torx bits for it?
Yes
Great video CP👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I've had a koken one for years
Got a quick question who makes Ace Hardware brand tools
Not sure never looked into it

Ordered from your link.
Mitch you are to kind brother appreciate ya looking forward to your next video I've enjoyed your time you spent on the last one!!
Good stuff. A lot cheaper than my Mac one, but my guy does warrant the bits, so that is nice.
I'm using snap-on bits in this driver and mac ones lol
Good review, but what keeps me from getting it is that years down the road, that rubber grip is going to wear out.
Doubtful these are made very durable
Do they make it with a 3/8 drive
No
Cool 👍👍👍

Why don't you use it in front of the camera?
How about you make a video that's interesting?
