I loved how Joey dodged and deflected the Offense question. All that told me was that the good ol boy, daddy boy OC hire is protected and not going anywhere no matter what. Leads me to think he’s there and shielded from powers that be Above Joey
I wonder when the powers that be are ever going to get tired of wasting money and being wrong. That stadium is going to look really beautiful when you're playing at 11am to less than 15,000 ppl. At the end of the day, it's not me that loses the money. College football has become a business. And our brand is being run by really bad business people that suck at football.
I watched the pitiful presser they did today. McGuire threw the defense under the bus when we all know it should have been kittley. Receivers were lost in the game on routes and you say they are doing great so why bring Hudson in. Something smells here as nobody lit him up over kittley or even when he did the offense part himself. He freaking defended screenapalooza even saying they're gonna keep going deep. Well when the hell did that happen Saturday? You'd have thought that was a press conference that was politics with all the dishonesty.
Great analysis. MUCH more refreshing than the emotional "they just suck" comments we have seen since last Sat. Dumb ass panic gets you nowhere. EVERYTHING can be fixed.
I would try Brown at qb. Morton has no touch, plays frenetically and tries to throw every pass as hard as he can. Looks good just often enough to fool you. No consistency.
The threat of a running quarterback needs to be on the table every play. Think Avery Anderson. Give me Cameran Brown for multiple series in a row with the RPO. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results
100% agree on the assessment of our offense. It should be CRYSTAL clear by now that Kittley is out of his league. With all the screens, I felt like I was watching a Neal Brown offense under Tubberville.
Random college football fan. I was super shocked that Michah Hudson chose TT Over the Longhorns Knowing how Bad they wanted that 5⭐ WR on the 40 acres. Now hearing he hasn't seen more playing time is even more shocking. He may have already seen more playing time at Texas considering Sark has schemed in True Freshman WR like Ryan Wingo and even Jhontay Cook last season.
Micah had ties to Tech and the Red Raiders built a genuine relationship with him and his family. That said on the playing time front, hard to say you’d be wrong on. Just weird he isn’t playing really at all for Tech
The sad thing is, we can talk about all this and anyone with a decent football IQ would agree with you. But for some reason the coaching staff is oblivious with it. I didn’t watch the press conf because I’m tired of excuses, but if Joey really said he doesn’t know how to use Hudson, he needs to be fired immediately and sent back to high school. Kittley can go with him. But you heard it here first, Hudson transfers end of season. Just sad.
I don’t get the Micah stuff. None of us are in practice??? The dude missed spring with an injury and I understand the talent level is there, but people are acting like he’s the best receiver in the B12 and he’s being benched… idk. We just don’t know what goes on day to day. And maybe that’s Joeys fault for telling us Micah would make an impact Week 1. Assuming he didn’t expect to get punched in the mouth by ACU when he said that.
@@kjstewys it all goes back to Joey setting unrealistic expectations with his hype talk no? Also, I don’t think anyone can tell me that Micah shouldn’t be getting at least 25 snaps a game. Part of Kittley’s job is to find creative ways to get playmakers like Micah on the field… do it
The screens were fine and they worked. I do agree that McCray should not be blocking. I think we should be running a lot more, especially situationally. I thought throwing three straight times on short yardage was asinine. I do wonder if we are checking into these plays at the line.
Don’t see any changes coming. They always do the same thing. I hate the play calling but Kittley isn’t going anywhere. Team is soft for some unknown reason. Obviously the coaching is mediocre at best.
I think this all comes down to coaching it they have to do a better job at getting players in the right position to succeed and discipline also comes with that you have to cut down on stupid penalties
Kittley needs to be reigned in. McGuire needs to check kittley’s homework and say no you need to have an outlet if you’re calling all verts. Which dude is going to be a check down.

Hey RC, was trying to resubcribe to the RII but was unable to but anyways, being a Lubbock local and growing up with some of the football players on the team, i’ve come to talk to these players and get a better understanding of what’s going on behind the scenes, now this is just from me so i’m not sure what else you’ve heard from your sources but, one thing i’ve heard constantly is that some of these players are just here for the money and how eerie it feels in the locker room, my buddy is a local recruit and he fought to make the depth chart this off season and he ended up did, I went to high school with him and he’s been telling me this after each game, I believe that if players aren’t willing to show up during game day because of lack of discipline then something must be done on the coaching side, and i’ve also been told that the scheme for each game is perfect until the game actually comes and they just draw up screen passes… but anyway RC, I enjoy the content!
