The comment from your friend keeps playing in my head ... it bothers me because I don't care how many times I watch you do chores or clean out pens or sort sheep or anything I enjoy this because it's therapeutic as much as educational. It's a release from my daily life that I and so many other look forward to. Also the pack clear up is so satisfying 😌
I would never say something like that to a friend....I’m just saying. I was raised on a dairy farm...and I’m never bored watching Sandi and I learn a lot ! I think it’s someone she knows....I most certainly wouldn’t call them a friend. Just an opinion from an old lady ❤️
Not a farmer. My sister and her husband had a sheep farm in another country. I knew it was hard work, but I didn't KNOW it was hard work. You know? Sandi even looks a little like my sister. I don't know why YT suggested it, but I subscribed and have been enjoying hopping around the videos. I love the lambs and clean ups. I live for a time-lapse clean up. Keep doing what you're doing, Sandi! :)

I’m a weird one, I absolutely love passing thru farm country or going to state fair because of the overall farm animal smell. Most people I know wrinkle their noses, but it just makes me happy for some reason-maybe because I get to see cows and horses!

aww so sweet Lucy when she realized what was happening. She just plopped down and stayed as little as she could. Smart brave lil girl!! the sheep actually did everything they could to not trample her... GOOD sheep.
Especially the one following the herd who suddenly jerked, made a perfect standing vertical jump and then lunged forward. She probably saved Lucy's life. Thank you from all of us, you gooood little sheepie!

When I was a youngster, the sheep bedding had to be cleaned out by hand with pitchforks. It was a labor intensive and smelly job. A bobcat would have been a nice luxury.
@@cathiwim certainly not. We only had a small flock, 30 - 40. Wasn't the primary concern. Dairy was the main business, which kept us pretty busy. Everything was a lot more manual in those days.

I think Kinsey is large enough to easily jump the fence or the sheep. As much hopping in and out of bunks and pens as she does already, the only problem Might be getting space to "launch". lol.
@@pstill9618 If the first sheep jumps, the rest will often to the same, even if there is no reason to do it. The dog could have gotten out of the way and a lot of them would have still jumped. I have seen that a lot.

Ya, Sandi is great at making videos that even people like us who have no idea or background in farming find them entertaining. Its mostly Sandi and her interaction with the animals that I like to see.

Your operation is so interesting no matter what you are doing. Lucy is a smart dog to stay huddled in one spot til the ewes had passed. Thought she was going to get hurt. Luck was on her side for sure.
I was just thinking the same thing. How you got Lucy to be Mark's dog & run the fields & keep him company in the tractors. Yet it didnt turn out that way so much. We always see Lucy with you and the sheep learning to be a sheep dog. And she is always so entertaining with her antics. Though when you are in the tractors in the fields, Lucy climbs right up in that tractor with you & curls up in her spot you've made for her & rides along with you all day. It's obvious how much you love your animals. And obvious they reciprocate that love & are drawn to you. That's a special gift to have & we love watching the daily interactions between you & your animals. Every evening I excitedly pick up my phone to look to see if you've posted a new video. As so many of do, I look forward to & enjoy each and every one.🐑💗

My friend’s daughter (32 years old) had the genius idea of buying 200 acres and starting a goat farm. This is a 9-5 city girl who can’t remember to feed her dog every day. I recommended that she watch a few days out of your life of non-stop physical work for 16+hour days. No time off. No snow days, no time off for rain, everybody still needs to be cared for no matter what the weather or how bad your headache is. I think you are the perfect example of how hard work pays off, but you have to to be all in for the animals. You and your family are admirable people and I love watching you every day.

As always, that telehandler in those narrow pens scares the crap out of me; if I was driving, I'd constantly be banging against the walls. I can't wait to see the new gates in the other barn, they look snazzy. It's great seeing all these new upgrades you've been getting lately.

Lucy just stayed in her spot as the ewes avoided her.. that was awesome to watch, and scary at the same time. But thankfully, all ended well!! I so love watching you clean out the barn, and being able to watch from this new angle today was AWESOME!!! Boy does that manure steam!!! Such nutrient rich compost for your fields too... nothing better than your own home grown compost, even if it is a huge steamy pile of dung!!! This video was so enjoyable on many levels. Thank you for giving us the extra view, your view, of cleaning out!!! I enjoyed it so much!!! My days are complete with Sandi and her Sheep!!
Happy ending from a dangerous situation. Both Lucy and the sheep should have been rewarded. I've watched and laughed at all of the videos that show the baby lambs running and jumping. Who would have thought that playing would help save Lucy's life. Thank you sheep for jumping over Lucy and Lucy for laying up against the wall and not moving.

Ah! A freshly clean and well bedded pen is oh sooo satisfying! 😌😌😌 We try to keep our sheep holding area (corral🙄) as fresh and clean as well. A farmer knows when their sheep are happy and satisfied. Them some happy sheep there!🤗🤗🤗
I find it so satisfying when you are moving sheep and making pens but, cleaning that lane with the steam rising and the telehandler chomping into that thick layer was mesmerizing. I bet you wish you could go fast forward in real life when you are editing! Lucy was brilliant when she realized she was in a traffic jam, minimize, minimize! I admire you so much, you rock!💕🇨🇦

I learn a lot about sheep farming from you Sandi. Every time I listen and see I learn something new. This is interesting and I did learn about how feces can keep sheep warm WITH A LOT OF WARM BEDDING. Then how it is time to clean and get ready for lambing. Lambing, and a lot of new terms. I live in a room with other rooms. People can hear the sheep talking. I am getting questions about sheep farming . I tell them about you and I tell them every video ,again I learn. Lucy! It's so fun to watch your mad telehandler skills! It has to make you feel good to know the sheep will have nice clean beds and that you are all ready for the lambing to begin. Those ewes were so good to not trample poor scared Lucy. It's a good thing they're afraid of dogs!

I spent a lot of time on the handle of a six tine * Fork, in the calf Barn.

I do the deep litter method in my barn.....it keeps everyone toasty and the water doesn’t freeze! It makes great compost for the gardens, too!
Deep litter is the main reason our sheep and chickens survived the 7 day freeze down here in texas!

You should get a thermometer and measure how warm the pack is, I'm super interested!
Packed hay can get really hot, just like a compost pile, as it decomposes it heats up so that it is hot to the touch.

Lucy just stayed in her spot as the ewes avoided her.. that was awesome to watch, and scary at the same time. But thankfully, all ended well!! I so love watching you clean out the barn, and being able to watch from this new angle today was AWESOME!!! Boy does that manure steam!!! Such nutrient rich compost for your fields too... nothing better than your own home grown compost, even if it is a huge steamy pile of dung!!! This video was so enjoyable on many levels. Thank you for giving us the extra view, your view, of cleaning out!!! I enjoyed it so much!!!

Happy ending from a dangerous situation. Both Lucy and the sheep should have been rewarded. I've watched and laughed at all of the videos that show the baby lambs running and jumping. Who would have thought that playing would help save Lucy's life. Thank you sheep for jumping over Lucy and Lucy for laying up against the wall and not moving.

Poor Lucy. She must have been scared with all those ewes running past her and jumping over her. That little Bobcat is an amazing vehicle! It is amazing how much you really do use it.
Ah! A freshly clean and well bedded pen is oh sooo satisfying! 😌😌😌 We try to keep our sheep holding area (corral🙄) as fresh and clean as well. A farmer knows when their sheep are happy and satisfied. Them some happy sheep there!🤗🤗🤗
I find it so satisfying when you are moving sheep and making pens but, cleaning that lane with the steam rising and the telehandler chomping into that thick layer was mesmerizing. I bet you wish you could go fast forward in real life when you are editing! Lucy was brilliant when she realized she was in a traffic jam, minimize, minimize! I admire you so much, you rock!💕🇨🇦

Those dogs are so fast I totally understand how you can’t see them. Your barn is awesome and I’m glad you got those gates. I learn a lot about sheep farming from you Sandi. Every time I listen and see I learn something new. This is interesting and I did learn about how feces can keep sheep warm WITH A LOT OF WARM BEDDING. Then how it is time to clean and get ready for lambing. Lambing, and a lot of new terms. I live in a room with other rooms. People can hear the sheep talking. I am getting questions about sheep farming . I tell them about you and I tell them every video ,again I learn.

It's so fun to watch your mad telehandler skills! It has to make you feel good to know the sheep will have nice clean beds and that you are all ready for the lambing to begin. Those ewes were so good to not trample poor scared Lucy. It's a good thing they're afraid of dogs!
