If you can't clean that mark off, then Cobra owes you an apology. Cuz that's gonna happen a lot with others as well, and they'll not be too happy. It shouldn't be that easy to ruin. Otherwise, looks to be a great driver.
I quite like the idea of that new sleeve adaptor. My swing can change a bit over time, and it'd be great to be able to change things up with a bit more variability when needed. They look gorgeous too
I always find it interesting that you make so many comments on the looks of the bottom of the club heads, which you really never see. It's either covered in the bag, or you only see the top while using it. In any case, entertaining and informative as usual. Those drivers have way to many configurations for me. I'd rather they took $50 off the price.
What’s the one statement that James says more than any other….”I honestly believe that this club has the potential to be in my bag this next year”. That’s one big bag you got there James
Club abuse.... Playing at Hever Castle many years ago with two good mates...one tees it up on the second hole takes out a 3 wood....pulls it hard left into the water..... launches the said 3 wood.... as it hits the ground the head goes one way the shaft the other.....my other mate Duncan pipes up"very clever Mike....that's my 3 wood and you haven't paid me for it yet" He also later in the same round kicked the crap out of his bag ....got his foot caught in the strap and went arse over.....never a dull moment 😂😂
I love cobra. I’m always so excited when they receive the love they deserve. I’ve played cobra exclusively from high school D-1 golf and messing around professionally. It always shocked me more people didn’t play cobra.
All the new drivers will be really appealing! I am using a Rad Speed and keeping my money in my pocket until I get fitted for a LAB putter in the spring. I used to chase every new driver but no longer!
I also had a friend that left a ball mark on the top of my driver...The worst case of friend-club abuse was my best friend Bob who wanted and was allowed to try out my woods, he replaced my stiff steel shafts (Hogan Apex woods) to a regular shaft (I had no idea he would do this!). On the second hole, a par 5 "dog leg" left skirting a river, he took a "mighty swing", the head came off and we never found it. It's probably in the Atlantic Ocean by now.
I have skyed my LTDX more than a few times with absolutely no scoring on the face.....does this point to crappy workmanship? 1 top shot and it scratches even the face itself? Kind of rubbish.....
The adaptor is a big step for fitters. You can adjust the loft and lie without changing the face like most adaptors which either open or close the face as you go up or down in loft
There’s no way one shot like that should scratch the clubface that badly. That shot wasn’t even popped up that badly. Most of the ball hit the clubface.
Inadvertently, Brett has discovered a topic that should be up for discussion. Should a golf club be so badly made, that you can potentially ruined it with the first shot, by hitting a ball a little high on the face? Would Cobra replace or repair the driver?
@outwithdadog I thought I made the point in my post. Something that costs as much as modern drivers cost, that can be ruined on the first hit with a pretty common shot from an average golfer has to be considered when making such an investment. If a competitor provides a comparable product that is more robust, then I know where my money would be going.
10.... you're having a laugh?! This is why I never let anyone try my driver until I've done something daft to it. And I've not skied a wood for years.... I'd be fuming.
Does the adapter keep the shaft and grip in the same alignment? I can’t cope with the shaft graphics coming in to view and the grip logo being on the side
And by the way in the thumbnail, it says "Ruined" with an exclamation mark, one of these ! not a question mark, which would have changed the whole premise! Exclamation mark used properly.
Nice club, shame it marks so easily...terrible for resale 😢

Love it ,Brad laughing after putting sky marks on your driver head. 😂😂

I think in fitting terms it’s great
"You're like your wife, you've got no patience" HAHAHAHAHAHA
Poor Brett I felt sorry for the poor lad, fingers crossed it doesn’t happen with the other new releases

It’s a great shout Bob. I guess it’s from the pro shop days staring at them
You 'sky' it, you buy it!
The maintenance guy laughing at the club. 😂😂😂
Is Brad’s new nickname The Mongoose……..Cobra Killer 😂
Brad?
@@daveharrison1160 I don’t know his name but it’s now RUclips deed poll to The Mongoose 🙂🤣
What’s the one statement that James says more than any other….”I honestly believe that this club has the potential to be in my bag this next year”. That’s one big bag you got there James
lol
Cheers

That cobra looks awesome that loft sleeve would be great to delve into. 💥🤯
Brett is a great addition to the channel, even if he does wreck your driver!
Look at his feet .....he was aiming miles right, so no wonder he hit trees.
Wow, a great new driver in the bag 2025, shocker!😂
I’m sorry mate
The "I actually am i Barbados" cuts 😂😂
James, I must say you do the best equipment reviews of the many RUclips golfers I follow. Also, your videos are never without a few laughs.
Thanks buddy. Lovely dog as well that
Brett channeling his inner Dave!
Love the adapter
Dude has a Amadus laugh
10:23 proof that all the FF33 adjustments are too much, unless you are a robot

You might need to get Mark back to mid handicap test if Brett keeps this up LOL

Seems like a great club. A little Sharpie touch up maybe?
It's the mini driver all over again 😂😂😂😂😂
Brad would be buying me a new driver if I was U!

How can cobra be held accountable? Head still on the shaft. Shaft in one piece. Brett just got it wrong. And now owns a new driver, with a sky mark.

Look where Brett's feet are aimed at 10:26 and 10:55. Might that explain why those shots went to the right, instead of the club face setting?
I'll have it if you don't want it James.
Most are over thinking the sleeve. It’s primarily for a trained fitter.,
It does seem to have marked up so quickly 😢
Me again, Cobra say that you use the FF33 adaptor to counteract your shot shape, not to adapt your shot shape to it.
10.7 is getting there.
Infinity face was on the old ones for a reason 🙈 can’t believe it marked that badly from one top
You break it you buy it!!!
10.... you're having a laugh?!
This is why I never let anyone try my driver until I've done something daft to it. And I've not skied a wood for years.... I'd be fuming.
Brett seems to dip down into the ball in the impact zone, hence the initial skied drive.
I'd die if I roofed my driver like that 😂lol
Go on the Brett 10.7 nearly there mate ....sky hook ha ha ha ha ha Brett was that cobra adapt wedge FFS poor James
How would a company such as SGGT fit you for a custom shaft using that adjustable sleeve?
Sky Fall the sequel. Don’t worry, Brett, that’ll buff out mate.🤦🏻♂️
I like to get my crown strike, mark of shame out of the way early with a new driver. 🥺
U an let Retired Dave use it know!!
That looks like a sandy/dirty ball made those marks... should always use decent balls, especially if you pay 500+ for a new driver.
Gotta clean dirt/sand off the ball.
Hard when you duff it so that’s what puts the mud on the ball lol
So sh8te quality if it marks up like that on only a couple of shots🤔
Thanks for the video, it’s saved me from looking at them👍🏻
Does the grip stay aligned when you change the loft like the Callaway does?
I got my ping sft in the same place today and it went miles!!! 😝
Placebo effect 😮
What happens if you increase, decrease and alter variations between the weights?
10.7 and he skyed it? thats too bad lol
Sky it you buy it!
There is car products that take off scratches auto geek
OUCH!
Does the adapter keep the shaft and grip in the same alignment? I can’t cope with the shaft graphics coming in to view and the grip logo being on the side
Yes buddy I’m some instances but not all
Cheers
What’s the worst that could happen ? Roofed it 🤮
You would have better luck trying to solve the Rubik’s cube
It’s amazing how dumb people think the average golfer is…..
Ok
If skying a driver ruins it then its a crap driver
Does a key mark ruin a car?
It was your headline on the video
And by the way in the thumbnail, it says "Ruined" with an exclamation mark, one of these ! not a question mark, which would have changed the whole premise! Exclamation mark used properly.
