      It’s a cool river. I will say that once I moved away from the shoals, the bite was decidedly off. They all pile in those whitewater areas in the spring.

    I experienced one of my greatest top water fish last Sunday,.The whopper Plopper and he hit it hard.
    Scored my personal best 18" small mouth in the Wrightsville area.Now I definitely want more.

      Right on! We just drove over that section on our way to our son’s basketball tournament in Spooky Nook. Great water, especially upstream!

    Good stuff, Jeff, & now I gotta try those larger 7" scented jerk shads you use ! learned something else now, so thanks again! Also, great to see you hook up with John Dalton from CFA! I've been watching him since close to when he first started and learned a lot of ultra-lite fishing from him; John also inspired me to drive to Tennessee in 2020, 21 & 23 for a week of fishing many of the same spots John fishes and we connected a few times while I was down there. Great times, and now I am following your channel, Jeff, to learn a whole new endeavor in river fishing techniques!! Love the skip & retrieve casts you were doing!! It would be great if you & John could connect at a Susky tournament this year, to :-)

    Take Highway 74 north from Thomaston and it runs into highway 18 towards Woodbury and you will cross the flint river and there is a boat ramp you can use to put in at

    Two questions do you put your own eyes on baits and do youn think makes a difference? Also what pants and shoes do you wear on kayak this time of year for that sun protection that’s comfortable and yet can get wet ?

    • @TheLittleStuff
      @TheLittleStuff  4 месяца назад +1

      I just restocked the 7 inch Scented Jerk Shads. Gluing the 8.5 mm eyes takes some time.
      The pants are by NRS. The shoes…. I think that the company is Calceus. They have held up.
