the First Lady of Nigeria was definitely calling out Meghan Markle, 'why is she coming here' and a direct reference to 'nakedness' and 'hollywood stars' was to tell people 'we don't approve, don't listen to the western media, she's not a role model to us' and as a congresswoman and first lady that statement was meaningful.

Harry's "43% Nigerian" wife should feel ashamed by her immodest wardrobe choices, but I don't think she actually cares. I think what the First Lady of Nigeria meant by, "why is M looking for Africa?"...is...M is what, 42 ish, had to have noticed, from a very young age, that she, along with her own mother, as well as Grandparents, her Aunt's, Uncle's were black...that her ancestors would have originated from Africa...that she should have had a very substantial connection to that part of her ethnicity, ie: the culture, music, beliefs etc and should have embraced it all throughout her life...(m is definitely not naive). Instead M shows up, disrespectful of traditions, rictus grin, with her cameras, half naked, trying to lecture people about things she knows nothing about to people she clearly doesn't give a s**t about and instead it's all about her, being the centre of attention, her wealth, her exploitation of people who she shares dna with.
She shouldn't have had to "look" for Africa as it should have been inate, inherent.
I think the First Lady of Nigeria, was expressing caution around deceivers, who come into their country, who display a flagrant disrespect of their cultural traditions and norms, in combination of classlessness, superficiality, and arrogance are not to be considered "role models" by anyone.
      My thoughts and opinions.

As a daughter of a diplomat, it was drummed into my head to always respect a country’s culture. Meghan definitely disregarded doing the correct and respectful thing. As an American, it was an embarrassment. Meghan is a 40+ year old, educated at a top university, and a former “Royal” and definitely must know better. In any case, she (and Harry) thumbed her nose on Nigerian conservative values, a huge disgrace. What I found so interesting was the number of people and media who kept remarking how beautiful and stylish she was and completely missed the point that she dressed inappropriately. And who can believe the 43% Nigerian bit? Look at Georgina Lawton’s picture and she looks like she could be 43% Nigerian. But Meghan? Who is she trying to fool?

My take on what the First Lady said, firstly, she spoke about nakedness, actresses, and the Met Gala (we saw how many of the women dressed) and then she said know where you come from, be proud of who you are and then said why did Meghan come here. In around about way, she was saying Meghan came here to learn about her culture but instead brought her nakedness. Re Waldorf Astoria. My father was a newspaper editor in the 1950's & often went to events there with my mother & my grandparents, who were visiting from England. All was going well ie fine food & drink, interesting company etc when Granddad, having happily eaten his way through the menu, leaned back in the chair to listen to the speeches, awards etc. He had false teeth which fitted badly but post war, folk didn't have much money to upgrade. So, to relieve the discomfort, he took out the bottom set, discreetly into his pocket handkerchief, and into his trouser pockets. Then he sneezed. Without thinking, he hastily whipped his handkerchief out of his pocket to politely hide the event, forgetting his bottom set of teeth were wrapped in it. The teeth flew across the table, over someone's shoulder and slid under a table the far side of his table. Amazingly, no one but he had noticed. He then started crawling under the table to retrieve them, unnoticed except by my family by this point. Mom & Gran were mortified but dad was in fits. Dad paid for better fitting teeth after that!

I took the "Why is Meghan coming looking for Africa" question as something like this: black film stars from the USA don't know where they are coming from, MM came to Africa to find her roots, because she has no roots, compared to Nigerian women and girls who know exactly who they are and where they are coming from. She says: "We know who we are and don't lose who you are." She discourages Nigerian and African women from seeking role models in the USA. MM was proudly declaring herself a role model for African girls and the First Lady took her down swiftly.

All air and no substance, but everyone at the table heard it and I jumped in surprise! When I said laughing, ‘what on earth was that - It made my leg vibrate!’ He looked around proudly and said loudly ‘I FARTED!’ I was convulsed in laughter and the more I laughed , the more he laughed and a few more explosions followed. From him of course! Soon everyone at the table was laughing too! I’m 62 and my sense of humour has remained the same as a 2 year old’s 🤣

In my opinion, the way MM was dressed during the Nigerian trip (bare back, showing cleavage and legs etc), I think the First Lady associated MM with nakedness. Her speech was not only aimed at MM, but also, those who attended and organised Met Gala (the real American film stars).
I have to admit, I gasped out loud when I first watched the First Lady speech - it was clear that the First Lady did not tollerate her behaviour, and taken the line 'why did MM come looking for Africa?', alluding to the fact MM had an ulterior motive for traveling to Nigeria.

Dear Shauna, many, many years ago when the children were youngsters ( around 8-9) my daughter had a friend whose mum was a nurse, Leonora was on night shift and had a lovely old lady as a patient. She went in to check one night and she was sitting up in bed combing her hair. The lady asked if she would help put a bow in her hair as her late hubby had always loved her with a bow in her hair. Leonora asked why and the lady said sweetly that the angels were coming for her at 11.00 p.m. around the time she thought she’d go check on her in case she was disappointed. She was in bed with the loveliest smile on her face and she was gone. Leonora came straight to my place after shift for a talk and a coffee. It rattled her a bit but what a lovely - true - story. 🙏🙏👵🇦🇺

I have a great embarrassing story. My father had recently died, and I was in the lawyer’s office where the Will was being read. As the lawyer was explaining the trust my father had set up, I reached into my bag with the intention of getting a Kleenex and ended up pulling out a tampon that had come out of its paper wrapper. The two strings attached themselves to my comb. Needless to say, everyone in the room was shocked (their jaws were firmly stuck to the floor), and I died a thousand deaths of embarrassment! Now 40 years later, whenever I remember that scene, I get a bad case of the giggles! 😂❤

My opinion of the First Lady of Nigeria's comments was that she felt terribly disrespected for the women of her country by Meghan's dress during her visit. I totally agree with her sentiments, young impressionable girls are being toooo influenced by what they see in the movies, music videos and women of influence who show way too much skin. Meghan should really have known better when she went to Nigeria, she should have respected the culture of the country as anyone should.

Hi Shauna! When I was 18, I worked in an office for a millionaire in Houston TX. For his 60th birthday, his wife invited all the employees (+1) at a very posh restaurant on the top floor of a very posh hotel. We all sat around one very large table with the boss at the head of the table. A waiter was going around and asking each guest if they would like a cocktail. When he came to me and asked me the question, I replied “What kind do you have?”
He told me they had every type cocktail I could want. So I thought for just a few seconds and replied “I’ll take the shrimp.”

About 20 years ago, my friends and I went on a trip to New York. We arrived early evening and were advised to stay awake. We were told there was an Oyster Bar at Central Station that was popular. When we arrived it was closed. Someone told us a new restaurant had just opened so we climbed the stairs and it was obviously upmarket. We weren't at our best so we decided to turn around when this voice said "can I help you ma'am' I explained that we'd just arrived from London and we just wanted a light meal. He called a waiter over and told us to have what we wanted. As we were sat, we noticed people acknowledging him. When we finished, I went over to thank him. Then i blurted out, "You're tall"! To which he responded ",yes 6 7, what are you 5.10. (Which is tall for a woman) I was impressed he'd guessed my height. We left thinking what a lovely man. We were talking to someone the next morning to be told that Michael Jordan had opened a restaurant the night before at Central Station! No photographic evidence!!

I love your videos, Shauna! I have a scary story. As an operator/dispatch at a Phychiatric hospital, I often worked the night shifts. That meant working alone in the administration building on the first floor. Whenever I needed to use the ladies' room, I had to notify the supervising nurse on the third floor ( the only other person in the building). As I walked into the bathroom, the sensor lights went on, and I walked towards the nearest stall. As I walked, I heard the toilet paper roll in the third stall and stopped. I know I was the only one there, so I walked to the third stall and saw the paper roll spinning on its own! I ran out of there! When I got back to the dispatch office, the phone was ringing. The supervising nurse asked if everything was okay? I said, "Yes, why?" She said that she had just gotten a call from my office. However, when she answered, she said the phone was silent, so she hung up and called.
I explained it couldn't have been me and explained why. We both were puzzled. The hospital was established in the late 1920s, so I imagine it has a lot of dark history.

Spooky story for you. My husband and I were staying at an island resort. It was off season, few people staying in the beach units. There was no one staying in either of the units next to us. We were standing outside on the open porch, leaning over the second floor balcony railing watching the ocean. Suddenly, my husband said, “what’s that?” Drifting slowly by us, at eye level was a thick black cloud. It didn’t drift apart like smoke would. There are no cars allowed where we were staying, no trucks so not exhaust. Nobody was grilling. Not a regular cloud in the sky and this thing just slowly meanders by us. My husband said, “ that’s the weirdest thing, I almost felt like it was looking at us, checking us out.” My husband, of 55years is a lawyer, practical, down to earth, often has to have one of my silly jokes explained because he is so logical.
It continued past us never falling apart, never changing shape. We scampered back inside the condo and stared at each other.

It floated, drifted by us at eye level, it was not a swarm of insects, a good call but this resembled more like smoke. But it didn’t change shape at all. I watched thick exhaust or smoke from a fire being put out and it changes shape and it never to my knowledge travels in a horizontal manner at a measured speed.
We honestly don’t know what it was but I can tell you my husband, a very, very down to earth attorney, looked at me and said, once we were inside, “ That was the nastiest thing I have ever felt.”
It wasn’t just creepy or strange, it was nasty, dark, makes my hair stand on end just to talk about it again.

    Fireman story
My mother came from Ireland to London as a young women to be trained as a nurse for the war effort. In her very early twenties. Good Irish catholic girl from way into the boonies. And, by her own account, mad about dancing and thinking Epping Forest or wherever was like NYC compared with up the bog in Co. Sligo. One night, deep asleep in bed in the 2nd floor nurses’ dorm, she’s shaken awake - by a fireman, hauled from bed, slung over shoulder and carried down ladder. Ladder was resting on a street load of rubble, no front to building, her blankets were covered in glass. She was sweetly sleeping through an air raid and a very nearly direct hit. Thing is, she could not have been blotto as she could never have had the means for more than a couple of drinks. She remembered that night fondly for the rest of her life. Bless her! And thanks, Shona, I badly needed a laugh tonight!

I think the First Lady of Nigeria was calling out bad behavior, which was disrespecting the culture of Nigeria. megans showing too much skin in her clothing choices was a terrible example of someone ignoring local custom, as we could all see. She was dressed in night wear during the day while visiting a school. And she made everything about herself, it was her stage, she used the Nigerians to pump herself up in my opinion. I admire the beautiful First Lady of Nigeria and she is the real role model for these young students. megan markle has treated her father like dirt beneath her feet.

My funny spooky story. During my nurses training at the old Royal Adelaide Hospital, I was working nightshirt. A patient in her own room, who had Schizophrenia, buzzed the bell, And told me she could hear voices. I thought, oh yes, Schizophrenia, then realised I could hear voices. This room was odd with a corridor behind, so around I go with my torch and suddenly startled by the cleaners, who were cleaning the eye theatres, which was what was behind that room. We both screamed, then laughed. Funny enough, I now work in mental health, 30 years on, and of course what I thought about Schizophrenia was way off the mark anyhow.

Hi Shauna I’ve laughed, loudly at the embarrassing stories and have, finally plucked up the courage to tell you mine.
Many years ago, when my adult kids were very small I was trying to wet shave my legs, before taking them to school.
It was the normal chaotic morning, missing school books, lost shoes and bickering.
In the rush I cut my shin badly with the razor and it started to bleed profusely. I had no plasters at hand and it was getting late for school so I grabbed a sanitary pad, tuned the adhesive tabs inwards and pressed it against my heavily bleeding leg!
It seemed to stick well so off we ran ( book and shoes found) to school.
After I dropped them off I headed to the chemist to get some plasters.
As I walked past a white van I heard a voice shout from it,
“Hey luv you’ve dropped something!” followed by roars of laughter!
I looked down to see the, now blood soaked pad at my feet!
In my desperate embarrassment I tried to kick it away only for it to attached to my shoe ( as the laughter from the van got even louder) and I had to grab it, shove it in my pocket and quickly go in the chemist!
I bought the plasters, put one on in the shop and then waited until, eventually the van drove off!
My daughter always likes to recall this story and did so at my 40th and 50th!

The story about the knickers on the floor incident reminded me of something that happened to me several years ago. I was driving to the store to return some panties that didn’t fit. My young teenage daughter was with me and she was in a bad mood, so I was trying to cheer her up by putting a pair of panties on my head like a hat while we were driving down the highway. She started laughing and we were chatting away, and I completely forgot that I had underwear on my head. 🫣. As we were sitting at a light waiting to turn off the exit, I suddenly realized what I had done when the guy in the next car over looked at me and cracked up laughing! I hurriedly went to yank them off my head when he put up a finger as if to say “Hold on a second!!”, reached into his backseat and quickly placed a pair of underwear on his head and smiled broadly. My daughter and I were DYING with laughter!!! Bad mood definitely cured in that moment!! I’m just hoping she doesn’t get up and tell that particular story at my funeral….🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

First Lady is 100% calling out Meghan Markle's fashion choices! Clever word choices by the First Lady as it is not directly linking her but to mention M's name so closely after talking about 'nakedness' automatically brings to mind the backless item M thought it ok to wear to a school where she tells the young impressionable girls 'I see myself in you and you in me'. I think that is a direct link to the point the First Lady was making about needing to protect their young girls from what she sees as a negative influence.

A few weeks later she calls, “ how are you doing on the diet?” I told her “great! I have 110 pounds to go!” She lost her mind laughing! Oh well, friends throughout the different silhouettes of life! I’m mid height and on the rounder side, my husband is tall and thin. I always tell him we are the perfect 10 as a couple. Embarrassing! Knicker elastic was not very reliable a few decades back. I was young and had been chatting to a handsome stranger at a bus stop in the UK. When the double decker bus came I headed up the stairs to the top, the young man following...when it happened, and suddenly the panties were around my ankles! I stepped out of them, grabbed them, and raced to a crowded part of the bus where he couldn't sit near me. I was so mortified I just wanted to die! I sat there miserable when a male whisper came from behind me. "I've never had a wish fulfilled so quickly! But I've got to work on how it's meant to end." If I'd been older I might have been able to laugh. I could now but it would never happen!

I worked in a preschool for.over 21 years and had some amusing times.. when I went into work one day I was told one of the 4 year olds had been brought in by q grandparent because her mum was in hospital...during the session I said "oh dear mummy is in hospital" and the little girl replied....." "yes she is having her boobs done"...😊
We obviously never said anything to her mum

My daughter and I had dinner at the London Ritz, in 2018, for her birthday. In 2022 we celebrated her birthday at Bellagio, Lake Como; Italy and this year we’re going to celebrate her birthday at some swanky place in Tokyo. (PS She lives in London, and I live in Adelaide, so it’s our special mother/daughter treat). 🇦🇺🇬🇧

Hi Shauna, I was a professional Melbourne singer who made my home In South Australia in 1969 after touring Australia with the Black & white Minstrel Show, where I continued entertaining (floor shows, TV, night clubs/hotels etc. ) until age 70. Your tale of morning after suffering, was mine as well😂; having also been the life of the party after a gig the previous night, AND with a lunch time show to get through. I relived every agonising moment listening to you. Just trying to glue on my false eyelashes was the least of my woes. 🤢🤮. But always remember, ‘Sparkle Darlings,’ no matter the occasion, and ‘Show up and Shine.’

Here's my spooky story. My sister had recently moved into an apartment complex. She rented out a storage cage in the basement of the apartment complex to store her college supplies. It was a creepy place. One night the entire apartment complex was woke by her neighbor. She had gotten the Manager to investigate the creepy howling coming from that basement. By now, the hallway was filled with residents coming to investigate, all stating that they had been hearing the noises for the past week. As a team, they gathered their combat gear, baseball bats, and ventured to face the demon in the basement. They waited. Suddenly, they heard the sound ooooooo. To my sister's horror, she recognized the sound. She opened her storage unit and pulled out a milk jug in the shape of a cow. When tipped, it mooed. Apparently the batteries were dying and the poor jug was croaking its last desperate moos nightly. Needless to say, she met all her new neighbors and became known as a cow lady. 🐮

As a child I had tea at the Dorchester in London. That was amazing! But as an adult, you don't stay at the Waldorf Astoria any longer if you are a diplomat. We are not, but stayed at the New York Palace Hotel, which is where they all go now, as a foreign entity has purchased the Waldorf. The UN was in session, so they had these sniiffing dogs all over for bombs and such. In the evening, we had a car coming to pick us up, and the driver communicated that he could not get into the lane to pick us up. We were waiting at the curb and a bunch of big gray SUV's were blocking everything up. There was the doorman and the taxman running things, but my husband decided to take matters into his own hands, as men will do. He starting to tell these vehicles to move along, we had to get to our restaurant reservation and then walked out into the street to shoo them along. All of the sudden three men popped out of the cars holding up badges and yelling at him, "U.S. secret Service!!!!" My son and I thought OMG, they are going to arrest him!!! What has he done??? It was Joe Biden, at that time the Vice President, who had arrived to address the UN. My husband was just like, oh, OK and walked back by us, and we were moving down the sidewalk as though we had never seen this man before in our lives. Someone had to be available to bail him out. We have still never let him live it down. Telling the Vice President of the United States of America to move along, we have dinner plans!

I went to the London Palladium with my husband to see The Mousetrap. I dressed in my lovely new dress with a full skirt.
During the interval we went to the bar and I went to the loo. We had a nice drink and the returned down the steps to our seat. During our progress, a woman came up close behind me and touched me. I nearly clocked her, but she hissed in my ear, " your dress is tucked into your pants" as she pulled it out! My husband said "I can't take you anywhere". I decided I thought it was funny!

I think Phil does a great job of challenging & sharpening the analysis on Scandal Mongers. We should be able to disagree without insulting. I love that podcast. 😊
I think the First Lady was expressing disapproval of MM without being explicit. I think that’s partly why MSM didn’t push it bc there may have been wriggle room for lawyers.

My daughter bought for me a Thai massage for Mother’s Day. The masseuse spoke very little English. She managed to ask me if I had any injuries & I told her my right shoulder was painful. She nodded & handed me a small package wrapped in plastic & told me to put it on as she left the room. I opened it & had no idea how this string thing would fit on my injured shoulder but managed to get it on somewhat dangling from my shoulder. When she returned she burst into laughter & pointed to my crotch. It was a thong! I’m 75 & had never seen one before. She left the room & I could hear her telling her workmates something in Thai & the hysterical laughter that ensued. I now know what a thong looks like close up & personal but I’ll stick with my large cotton comfortable knickers

Insulting our intelligence only brings us closer. They insulted Jen at 'Real Housewives Recaps' and said her voice sounded like a "drunk goose"??? Jen, along with husband Jay, hilariously formed the "Drunk Goose Club'. Through their online YT community, they just raised $22,000 US for St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The hospital that Danny Thomas founded in 1962, specializes in treating childhood cancers. His famous daughter Marlo Thomas (now 86) continues to work as National Outreach Director. The donation was made In Catherine PoW's name.♥

Shauna, Love all your shows. Ok. Time to tell my story. My daughter (who is still my pride and joy) was about 2 years old. She was very proud to watch what I did, or her brothers, and prove she could do it too. One morning I had just stepped out of the shower when the doorbell rang. I quickly dabbed myself partially dry and quickly grabbed my over-the-head robe. I ran down the hall, found the neck, and raised it over my head as I turned the corner toward the front door. To my horror the door was already open, and there stood the postman. With my arms stretched high, I was running toward him in my perfect nothingness! I quickly dropped my robe down over my humiliated body. We spoke no words as I signed for my package and swiftly closed the door. I turned around, there stood my proud daughter, grinning as she said, “Mommy, I can open the door!” 16:38

I’ve been having a giggle at the kid stories and thought I’d add my own. My oldest daughter was a devastatingly honest child and when she was three she came into the bathroom (as every single one of them did EVERY TIME I tried to shower). She was chatting away to me as I exited the shower. I was toweling myself off as she walked past me, stopped, reached up, patted me gently and commented “your boomers are long and flappy mummy”. My ‘boomers’ were not nearly as long and flappy at 33 as they are now and it took me a very long time to stop checking myself in the mirror.

    Hi Shauna
When you were telling the story about the registered nurse and the spooky light it bought back memories .when I was doing my nursing training my partner and I working on the men's ward had to do rounds of the patients every 15 minutes. We took it turn about to do the checks. My partner junior to me left to go through the ward all of sudden an almighty scream came from the nurse. Thinking she was in trouble I ran through the ward to see her standing by an old man's bed in shock. The patient had taken his false eye out and left it on the locker
