Thank you so much for this, if I (hopefully) meet my offer requirements on results day, I’ll be coming here in October for biomedical engineering!! I’ve been struggling to find videos like this talking about current students’ experiences so this is so helpful. Thank you!!
Hey Amy, I'm looking to study Biomedical engineering at Imperial too. However I'm in the year below you, do you have any advice on the application process. Like is there an interview for Biomedical engineering? What do they ask you? What should you include on your personal statement? What grade offer did you get?
Thank you for talking about the ratio, I'm thinking of studying Computer Science which as you can imagine is extremely male heavy, and I haven't even met a female in person yet
Hey niki, I was wondering what the drug culture in halls is like at imperial? I’ve heard polarising things that there are a lot of hard drugs but then also that there’s none of that and people don’t go out at all either. I was also wondering whether you often met/had friends from other unis in London like UCL, LSE, etc. There’s not a lot of info online about it so I was wondering what your experience was. Thanks! :)
Ive been thinking about applying, im in my first year of college now so i have a while to think about it. Im pretty sure i want to do chemical engineering? But who knows aha.
Hey! I have an unconditional offer for BMB and I was just wondering if you would recommend Woodward over the ones in south ken? Do you think that the security in North Acton is sth to worry about? Thanks!
hi, as far as I'm aware there have been no safety incidents regarding imperial students in north acton, living in south ken is great but expensive so not possible for everyone, I lived in south ken and really enjoyed it! In terms of safety, watch out for scammers in london, and good luck for first year!
hey! thank you for this! as an imperial offer holder, i was just wondering if you have any advice on choosing accommodation? there’s barely anything online 😭 what would you recommend? Xx
hey I've had a few dms about this and I'm going to make a whole video about it but main tips 1) there's no rush it's not done on a first come first serve basis 2) check out the imperial website www.imperial.ac.uk/study/campus-life/accommodation/halls/compare/ there's lots a pictures and info there
thank u for helping me miss niki. it rlly clarified all my doubts and rlly thank thank u so muchh this rlly helped me and (p.s i want to pursue biochemistry so could u make a video on biochem topic just a request) have a great day/night!! 💜💜
Hey. thanks for making this video, it was useful as a potential EIE entrant this year. I have a question. Is it possible to study this degree at Imp. and go into a career in other industries (finance) as this is what I am not to sure about. Also please can you give insight into how much hands on practical there is , as I am more of a theory person. And finally, is it possible to take modules from other departments.? Thanks a lot for making this!
yes, it's pretty common for people with engineering degrees to go into finance/other jobs. You normally have 6 hours of electronics (practical) labs a week. And lastly, yes EIE students can take modules from the computing department and the business school. Good luck!
Zuhaib I did Maths Physics and Chemistry, I recommend doing further maths for engineering courses but you can still be accepted without it with no problem! Hope that helps x
J Io hey J Lo, in first year I had no modules in computing, in second year I had two modules in computing and the rest in EE and in third and fourth you can take as many as you want in computing or in EE with the requisite that you take at least one module in computing and one module in EE and then the rest is up to you. Hope that helps :)
Hello Niki, really liked your video, felt very genuine. I would like to ask you some questions regarding getting in the Imperial College London as a postgraduate student or a masters student in the programme MSc Advanced Computational Methods for Aeronautics, Flow Management and Fluid-Structure Interaction. I am currently in my pre-final year and hence I have about an year to prepare and improve my chances of getting admission.
Hey, I'm still an undergrad so don't know too much about postgrad applications but I suggest showing your passion through your application and working on having a strong academic record! thanks for watching
Hey Nikki, great job with the video there! I’m an Indian student, studying in a CBSE school. Can you briefly give an insight on how to apply for Imperial (in my scenario)? I would I really appreciate your reply. Thanks
Hello, I hope it helps now or anyone else who is applying, look through their website on their international page if they accept CBSEs and if it's not explicitly mentioned, do email them :)
Your videos are amazing, I got a pass grade in my master degree. Can I get acceptance in Imperial college London? As I’m a health promoter please help me
If you have a masters then why are you trying to apply? Unless you were doing another masters/undergrad? But if you want to apply for a PhD then you won’t know until you try really
