How much fun has it been to watch you grow from a teen to a dad, shifting responsibilities and still finding time to fish. Your sons will become a shadow of their dad. They will eclipse your fishing prowess with that of their own. I will follow you and family for years to come.
Thank god my man is getting on the meat wagon. Can’t wait until you start getting in to multi species harvests. Been watching you since you were on the Jon boat and I’m rocking my old land skiff crew shirt as I type this. Cheers brother
Have been enjoying watching your videos for a while now, adding in my comment to show the support! Love the style, editing, and flow of your videos. Awesome shots, great narration, and a down to earth dude talking about fishing. I love it. Keep up the awesome work, can’t wait to see you enjoying more of your catches on the dinner table!
Dude I love videos like this and your style of content combined with the catch clean and cook genre is so enjoyable to watch. Keep it up man, you're an inspiration to me!
Awesome video bro The way I do my fish, any fish. Is on the grill. Wrapped in aluminum foil with all my favorite ingredients, sliced onions, sliced tomatoes. Sliced lemon, sliced garlic. Put it on top of the grill. Give it a turn. Bring it out and it’s ready to go in my ballet.
Glad to hear this. Hunting and fishing has gotten so far away from its roots here in the USA. It actually kinda ridiculous. I have always hunted and fished for food. Not because I have to as I'm sure my ancestors did, but because I enjoy the process.
I really liked the theme of the video! Make more, please! A big hug from a fan here in Brazil. In twenty years of fishing I have never killed a Centropomus undecimalis, which is my true passion. But I liked and understand your approach of bringing quality food to the family and respecting legal limits.
Your videos have been the inspiration for what i am trying to do on my channel! This last year family responsibilities kept me from making as many as I wanted but planning for next year!
As much as you fish, you should invest in a ice machine for the garage. 20 # min a trip? Fish for the table, Flounder, then Trout, then Reds. Don't have the inshore snapper here. Triple-Tail is lucky lurking a channel buoy.
Let me help you. You are one of the best (if not the best) story tellers in this fishing youtube scene. Let me help you make small adjustments to your videos to level them up. As a fan of your channel, I am not trying to criticize. I see where minor changes can make a huge difference.
Just cant understand why this kid only has 183k subs not that its not alot but seems like he should have so much more ive been watching him for years now and hes jjst so underrated hes knowledgeable imformative and just a well rounded angler so hopefully now hes going to catch n cooks maybe that will raise his subs thanks for the years of videos Lawson keepem coming buddy
Andreas apparently u didn't read the comment I'm not saying it's not a lot I'm saying he should have so many more for how long he's been doing this I wasn't downplaying how many he had in my opinion he's one of the best anger RUclipsrs out there
I primarily catch and release, BUT always bring ice just in case, you never know when you are going to get a slot red or snook or some bonus catch like when i found pompano last spring. I do enjoy the days when i go "grocery shopping", but thats typically if i bring out someone who is not a seasoned angler, and we go hit the trees and docks for mangoes and sheepies.
Your cooking skills have greatly improved. Signed....A Chef from Charleston, SC. But was wondering why you didn't keep the Ladyfish to use as cut bait?
Great video !!!! you should try some live shrimp in the groves for some snappers or some docks and cook it up for the family and friends !!!!! i love arti for the speed of catching fish it saves time but live shrimp brings dinner home every time lol
Stopped keeping trout of the Indian River (when season is open). Too many worms. I did get nice Mangrove snapper at the inlet last Tuesday. Live shrimp from Bucktails bait just north of that boat ramp(FYI). Everything eats shrimp. Great video as always
Ah, so now you are truly a sportsman and a true fisherman. Welcome to the club. J/K Been fishing for food since 1950's. I eat what it makes sense to eat and what I need, Release too small, too large or what I don't need, BTW. Lots of good fish out there, What sportsmen catch is not a valid concern for the fish population. Commercial fishing and solution are the issues, YUM
Paused at the sheep point. Bro I been watching you since the beginning. Your the fkn man. I was impressed when you hooked that thing on that shrimp lure. I just recently started fishing for keeps as well. Definitely keep some dead shrimp with you and a Carolina rig set up. Tight vid LOST SUN 😎👌🏼
Over here in Australia we have a similar fish called a breamand we have major compitipns and use 2in curly tail grubs and little divers and vibes you should check out the comps over here
I watch your videos for a few years now and I'm actually glad, that you quit pure Catch&Release fishing.👍🏻 Eating fresh fish, which you caught yourself is the best thing ever. Here in Germany🇩🇪 Catch&Release is actually illegal, because catching fish just for sport and harming them with no reason is seen as animal cruelty. I normally eat about 50% of the fish that I catch. The other half is always flopping back into the water.😉😅
Hey man we met at the fish house Ik you probably get this a lot but I grew up on these islands and I work on the vip island if you ever want a day to just learn the water better and just have some good fun fishing give me a holler I’ll make sure I get you hooked up
Yo Lawson just wondering if you have ever fished a Savage Gear BattleTek rod before? It is the ultimate ultra lite saltwater rod paired with a nice 3000-4000 Shimano reel. That is my fav combo for light saltwater fishing. Its great for trout reds snook ladyfish etc… just asking my guy!😎
This is not true about all the trout being the same size. Many many times, you have to weed thru the small, more active ones to get through to the bigger trout.
Bro invest in a good ice machine. It will save you thousands of $$$$$$ in the long run! I learned this lesson many yrs ago and it was such a great investment! It also comes in very handy in your daily use. I will never have a house without at least 2 ice makers in it. Its invaluable once you get one (or more). Cant ever live without them now!😎🤟💪😮
I am not a farmer or particularly handy, so providing fresh fish for friends and family brings me a sense of satisfaction. You should also try some of the less desireables like blowfish or even sailcats which are quite good.
Ive been doing this as well this past year, i was always catch and release. But i would recommend cooking the whole fish when possible, and compost the scraps dont throw them away, it feels more sustainable all in all. Remove big fins, gills and guts, season and stuff the stomach with herbs and lemons/oranges and butter, and oven bake or pan fry, definitely get alot more meat in the end hand picking through it as well, its not as convenient but feels right.
Love this style of video man. As a brand new dad (shes 6m) , alot of what your saying hits home. Have been a long time watcher, love the content progression.
Can relate to this big time. Used to bass fish a lot and catch and release. Now that I have kids I’ve started crappie and walleye fishing almost entirely, and hunting. It’s hard to justify that time away unless you’re bringing something home.
Use code LAWSON130 to get $130 off across your first 4 boxes of Good Chop at bit.ly/3BZYx8I!
That mustache makes you look like Paul Skenes
Dude, still need to know what glasses you wear.
How much fun has it been to watch you grow from a teen to a dad, shifting responsibilities and still finding time to fish.
Your sons will become a shadow of their dad. They will eclipse your fishing prowess with that of their own.
I will follow you and family for years to come.
I hope you're right and his kids love fishin'
Tip a bit of frozen shrimp on that shrimp lure with heavier weight and toss at channel markers for tripple tail and Mangrove snapper.
Dude I watch you more now then ever, no matter what anyone else says I love this style of vids! Turning into one of my favorite fishing film makers!
Legend in the making ^^^^^^^
Thank god my man is getting on the meat wagon. Can’t wait until you start getting in to multi species harvests. Been watching you since you were on the Jon boat and I’m rocking my old land skiff crew shirt as I type this. Cheers brother

Anything fresh is great. Either raw or Pan fried is better than anything you get from the store.
Dude I love videos like this and your style of content combined with the catch clean and cook genre is so enjoyable to watch. Keep it up man, you're an inspiration to me!
Smoked mullet this time of the year is a go-to
Awesome video bro The way I do my fish, any fish. Is on the grill. Wrapped in aluminum foil with all my favorite ingredients, sliced onions, sliced tomatoes. Sliced lemon, sliced garlic. Put it on top of the grill. Give it a turn. Bring it out and it’s ready to go in my ballet.

my advice, live shrimp, dead shrimp, frozen shrimp. have at least 1 if you want to bring fish home.
I've switched to using coconut oil for frying and good health. I use avocado mayo now to make tarter sauce.
Thats my boat ramp! killing it!
You are doing a good job wit the vids and relating to your audience. Thanks for taking us along.
As much as you fish, you should invest in a ice machine for the garage. 20 # min a trip?
Fish for the table, Flounder, then Trout, then Reds. Don't have the inshore snapper here.
Triple-Tail is lucky lurking a channel buoy.
Great video! I think you would enjoy Landshark outdoors channel for some catch and cook inspiration

Good on ya. I dig your videos.
Buddy fisherman & chef wow. Love the change. Kids are growing fast. Blessings 🙏.,..
Awesome video Lawson!been around for awhile and I love the new leafs we’ve been able to watch you turn through these. Much love from Tn brother!
Always think that to myself how is this dude not more popular
I agree
Only 183k?! 😂 bro that’s so many people. Imagine that many people in one place at once
Andreas apparently u didn't read the comment I'm not saying it's not a lot I'm saying he should have so many more for how long he's been doing this I wasn't downplaying how many he had in my opinion he's one of the best anger RUclipsrs out there
@ I was just poking fun at you because you said “only” 183k. I understand what you were trying to say I was just joking around 😂
Maybe no double dip in the flour. Just flour egg then panko. Cook in extra virgin olive oil to reduce fat. Otherwise thanks
That sheep’s head was beautiful man it’s tail was like see thru🔥
Hey brother I know you don’t want to hear this, but two words. Live bait. Guaranteed to fill your box. Tight lines. Great video production. Fish on-
Perfect timing! Just got some sheep yesterday and was trying to decide how to cook them. Gonna try this sandwich! Great vid man!🤙🏼

Give those chickens a small treat of crab and fish . Small enough not to attract flies .
No way! Another Lawson video so soon! Its a good day🎉
Great video !!!! you should try some live shrimp in the groves for some snappers or some docks and cook it up for the family and friends !!!!! i love arti for the speed of catching fish it saves time but live shrimp brings dinner home every time lol
Love that area, between the islands always has the trout
Redfish has been my go to lately 💪
So much for no sponsors! ;) Cool video, enjoying the new dad vibes.
Run some crab traps for triple tail.insanely good eats right there!!!
Keep up the great work on your videos. I’m pretty sure I have watched everyone you’ve made in the past two years.
Stopped keeping trout of the Indian River (when season is open). Too many worms. I did get nice Mangrove snapper at the inlet last Tuesday. Live shrimp from Bucktails bait just north of that boat ramp(FYI). Everything eats shrimp. Great video as always

Since you are new to keeping fish, look into "brain and bleed". IMO it definitely makes a difference in the overall quality.
the bigger trout in the winter will move up shallow in 1.5 to 3 feet. look for mullet schools. particularly on sunny days.
First glimps of Cam-Dawg!!!!!! 😭😭😭
Go dock light fishing. Reds like to hangout in the lights. Also the video would do well
Good video appreciate the recipe, will be sure to try it.
Noticed you’ve been fishing my hometown area. I got a few spots and tips that may help
Lawson, if you catch some slot sea trout, you’ve got to blacken them. It’s to die for🤌
Keep up the great work Lawson 👍 Awesome Video.
Careful with that red tide now. We've been getting some readings of findings in swfl for the last few days.
Might have to try that bun recipe myself. Always up for cutting out the junk in store bought bread or anything else.

I caught two sheepshead on gulp swimming mullet this year
Why don't you use a net so you don't lose the fish at the boat when you are trying to sling it into the boat or grab it with your hand?
2:18 perfect representation of Florida nowadays!
Eating what you catch will probably push you to catch "better" fish. Jacks, catfish, and ladyfish for meals will be a great motivator. 🙂
There’s a couple places in the world (pretty sure Mozambique is one) where they get Ladyfish to 20+ pounds.
Just fish with live bait if you’re trying to harvest fish effectively. It’s not lame and it does require skill to do consistently.
How do you like the salt x? Im the debating the AT when it comes out in december. Thanks
yea right!
There are three things you need to make sure that you fill the box and those three things are Pilchards pilchards and more pilchards
I watch your videos for a few years now and I'm actually glad, that you quit pure Catch&Release fishing.👍🏻

All the invasive fish we have are very tasty :D Snakehead being the best
yooo lawson what are those absolutely fire shades your wearing?
@ LawsonLindseyFishing what is your camera setup?
Let’s go fishing together!!!!!
Hey man we met at the fish house Ik you probably get this a lot but I grew up on these islands and I work on the vip island if you ever want a day to just learn the water better and just have some good fun fishing give me a holler I’ll make sure I get you hooked up
What blue and black spinning rod is that?
Challenging yourself is essential, feeding your family is more important than.
You gotta try making a sourdough culture! We love making sourdough bread and you can make tons of stuff with the discard
Sooner or later, them steak prices will have you appreciate quality + free effort exchanging meal .
At 2:00 Lawson basically said that he’s not good as catching small fish 😂
Any thought on upsizing that shrimp lure?
big dog i gotta ask, where did you get those sun glasses?
Is sea trout a good eater? Not from fl but caught em
Lawsons on his winter arc
Start throwing a mullet net and never go hungry
Bucket of live shrimp and a bridge will provide you with fish
Fillet and release
Lawson please trust me. Chasebaits Crabs. Sheepshead annihilate them! No need to fish live bait
I personally would love to see Lawsons arc to a croaker soakin box fillin pos like me 😂
This is not true about all the trout being the same size. Many many times, you have to weed thru the small, more active ones to get through to the bigger trout.
Yo Lawson how are you man
I am doing good, how are you John 🤘🏻
My Dawg, really? Christmas tree already?
Otherwise love the videos man. Keep em coming.
Try and get some Pompano to bake
Bro invest in a good ice machine. It will save you thousands of $$$$$$ in the long run! I learned this lesson many yrs ago and it was such a great investment! Looks great, but literally, nobody is going to spend an hour and a half to make a sandwich
Trout and mackerel are the way to go in my opinion. Fried, grilled, or smoked all good ideas.
agreed, the two commonest edible fish where i live too.
why dont you ever throw those lady fish out whole for mondo snook?
I am not a farmer or particularly handy, so providing fresh fish for friends and family brings me a sense of satisfaction. You should also try some of the less desireables like blowfish or even sailcats which are quite good.
Whack em & stack em!
#teamstokecoffee who has time to brew coffee!?! lol
Dude if you wanna harvest some fish HMU, I'll get you on tons of fish in Alaska!
Pompano. Sheepshead.
Ive been doing this as well this past year, i was always catch and release. The cheek meat goes crazy now, on all fish
Welcome to the dark side brother.
