Reminds me of the battle scene at the start of "Gladiator ". "Quintus: People should know when they are conquered. Maximus: Would you, Quintus? Would I? "
A lot of the sectarian songs are just tradition nothing is meant by it. It is just a thing now and speak to rangers and Celtic fans after the games and they will say the same especially ones who go home to a wife or husband who supports the other tean
Loudest best song in the world was brilliant the old days going to ibrox hampden plus on the train Saturday special from Queen St for away games loved big jock Wallace and Walter Smith always Remembered .. souness was some manager are was lucky to have seen the old days
I was going to post this comment but you beat me to it by 7 months! Rip Bonnie Gold aswell. I've got to say, when Jimmy Mc'Caven and his men ambushed Abarama and Bonnie by shooting Abarama while hidden in the bushes and then dramatically revealing themselves by marching into the camp singing 'we are the Billy Boys' then proceeding to tie Bonnie to a cross then lifting the cross upright and the shooting Bonnie to execute him in front of his wounded father was an absolute master piece of acting, TV making and creativity. It was absolutely bone chilling but such and iconic scene!
+periurban sounds awfy like Hello, Hello We are the Billy Boys Hello, Hello You'll know us by our noise We're up to our knees in Fenian blood Surrender or you'll die For we are The Brigton Derry Boys but may be it is the other one: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Boys
Oscar Taime I feared as much. I used to live in Easter Road and the very worst fans were this lot. Something quite unsavoury about such sentiments being expressed in this day and age.
in the interests of fairness the same type of sentiments are of course available from the other side of the park , so what's new ? both should be assigned to history for the benefit of the whole country
+Vape Vines This realy does irk. I have seen the Indyref campaign rewritten in this way... 'both sides had their troublemakers'... No !!! Any violent incidents I heard of during indyerf were at the hands of rabid unionists.

I am sure the Scottish football authorities will be taking swift and decisive action. No doubt Rangers FC will be identifying these people and denying them admission to future fixtures.
TheSmithersy I didn't mention the police. Read my post carefully, I referred to the Scottish football authorities. Nowadays people are identified by seating and ticketing payment data
TheSmithersy Oh but it's not brief, it's a regular occurrence isn't it? This is not a one off. Either the clubs are serious about ending bigotry or they aren't. If people keep taking your negative view nothing will ever change.
What more proof do we need that it is just a very small minority of fans who spout this sectarian nonsense. Almost insignificant amongst the genuine fans just there to watch the football.
And Celtic never sing songs about the ira or flags with paramilitary figures on them
