Per fare il confronto ho registrato tutte le testine utilizzando una Scheda Audio Behringer UMC202HD collegata al giradischi tramite cavi XLR/RCA ed al Mac tramite USB.
Ogni file è stato salvato in formato .WAV a 24bit, 44,1 kHz, tramite software “Audacity”.

the problem here is the phono stage on modern amplifiers , the pre-amps are very bad almost all, there´s an exception when buying a dual sony amplifier in 93 and made my pioneer pc-50 sound perfect, so it´s a mater of buying a proper amplifier or a 70´s receiver or amplifier and restored it to original specifications

Great video. Clear improvement from the red to the blue. Clear improvement in all frequencies from the Blue to the Bronze. A lot more solid bass going from bronze to black. That's what I heard anyways.

Recently went from the Red to Black - the difference is mind blowing. Considered strongly going from Red to Blue or Bronze, but went straight to Black in part on the basis of this video (and others). So glad I did. The separation of vocals and airiness on top is crazy good, but so is that tight punchy bass, both of which showed up in spades on my reasonably humble turntable (Victrola Stream Carbon). Don't buy the whole maybe my table isn't up to it doubt sequence (the usual stick with Blue or Bronze talking point). No surface noise outside of the norm either (the other usual talk yourself out of it talking point), although I do own mostly new(er) vinyl.

damn.. glad that I choose the Red. Black would be 2nd and only because it is way way more expensive. The blue and bronze just seems to laid back where the Red is voices are much more present. At least on my system over RUclips.
I upgraded from the 2MRED to the 2MSILVER(Silver coil+Better CL suspension) Its alot better, considerably more detail and Bass has
more warmth and presence, for the extra 30$, over the 2MRED its worth the upgrade, considering the 100$+ price gap for the 2MBLUE .
Like others on here, I can make conclusions based on listening via my smart phone. The downgraded RUclips up load presents awesome listening quality. I can really hear the high fidelity via my iPhone 6. The presentation and snap of the Black 2m is next level.

il problema è che la black costa € 599 , mica noccioline. per molti costa di piu' del giradischi stesso. quindi........la blue è il compromesso giusto, che per me è migliore della bronze come gusto di suono, inoltre guarda altri video che la blue non è cosi piatta come sembra qui....... strano ma qui sembra che la red sia di un'altro pianeta , eccetto la black, invece è la peggiore come recensioni.
Yeah, that Black is the bomb! The transients and micro dynamics seemed superior on the Black. The Blue seems much better than the Red. The Bronze(which was actually a red color in the video) sounded like the Red to me.
Bronze has more bass, try headphones when listening, red has more highs
one can´t compare needles in youtube sound ,they all can sound the same not even if conected to a accuphase amplifier and pre with huge tannoy speakers from early 70´s restored

Per il brano suonato mi sorprende la red, la blu a me personalmente delude, invece sono prossimo ad acquistare una tra la bronze e la nera, ma devo dire che dalla bronze mi aspettavo qualcosa in piu'.

La Red la trovo più " chiassosa ", esuberante, poco controllata.. Una bella " trollata ", insomma molto pompata. Mi piace! La Blue più controllata, più composta, più dettagliata. La dinamica intesa come volume sembra inferiore alla Red. Per il mio gusto un pò tamarro, trovo la Red più consona. Per la Bronze vs Black, la prima ha il doppiopetto, l'altra il Frac. Agreed. Because of this the Red sounds better than the Blue imo. But in every other video here on YT where people compare Red vs Blue the Blue always sounds better.
@@PerfectionHunter I had the red one and right now I have the blue one. The blue one has a lot more details but is more neutral. The red one is very lively, but there is a lack of detail. I don't like the bronze that much, but the black is simply bombastic. However, this is not a good song to compare.
Red is junk compared to the others in real life. Not saying its just in actuality, but in comparison to the others. The fact its louder in this video makes it sound better.
The 2M range are basically tonally balanced very similarly. Its mostly in the details that they differ and refinements. I personally dislike the Pick It Pro that came with my Debut Pro which is a modified 2M Red.. the high frequencies are unpleasant, being splashy and coarse. Its amazing how the nude version of the styli in the 2M Blue improves things. The Bronze is a flatter and dryer sounding cart which does it no favours with the neutral stance of the 2M range but it has the lowest surface noise of the range and may mate well to warmer equipment elsewhere in the chain. The 2M Black is easily the best sounding but is also very fussy with ticks and pops and pressing defects. Personally i feel the AT and Nagaoka and Goldring alternatives are better. The Quintets seem good though and Ortofons build reliability is second to none
the 2m bronze is amazing good balanced and reveals a wider spectrum of frequencies and compared with the 2m red it´s garbage against gold, the bronze is in this series the first to sound good on regular bad amplifiers with garbage phono stages and cheap speakers
But also tried a garbage pro-ject turntable that cost 1.000€´s with the 2m red from ortofon in my spec-1 and spec-2 pioneer amplifier and pre with some restored to it´s original specifications and for my surpise sounded good(aceptable, like the cd sound), but my SL-1000 from technics with the grado gold prestige III sounded far better ,also the audio-technica´s new catalog and the goldring black with a gold ring
In my opinion the Blue is the best value of the M2 range. But for not much more Ortofon Super OM 40 I think is better than the 2M Black and half the price. Goldring now has the E4 that seems to be a very good alternative.

bought a silver 2m cartidge and upgraded recently with the black stylus...i use both , always listening with the silver first (is 90% same as red) and if the vinyl is in good condition change it to black..best of both worlds....skipped blue and bronze as it sounds too soft for me and is like listening to a cd

l'ho detto anche io in qualche video, a seconda del disco che avevo in mano, ma non è una legge universale, perchè ci sono ristampe che surclassano le prime stampe. dipende. diffida dai guru improvvisati, spesso neanche li ascoltano i dischi e sparano sentenze perchè hanno da vendere le loro prime stampe o devono autogiustificarsi per aver speso 300€ su un disco. a ognuno quel che desidera, ci mancherebbe, ma bisognerebbe parlare sempre con cognizione di causa.
Red is not bad, more bass and highs, but sometimes to the level that it’s a bit irritating. Lively sound, less money. For me it’s all about enjoying music, not if the cymbals sound exactly as the ones in real life. But if money doesn’t play a role I would prefer the black, as it is most balanced and still very enjoyable. I have the red, works great in my setup, wouldn’t upgrade it to blue.
Big step from Red to Blue but then to Bronze and Black I think you pay for very small improvements. Black for sure is good but in my opinion you should compare the Black to Ortofon Super OM 40 where I think the Black gets beaten. That said the Black can give more detail but it also is very noisy picking the unwanted background also. This in my opinion gives the edge to Super OM 40 and what is good it is also half the price. Of course it is all about taste and the Black has it place for more towards classical music where it can separate the instruments more clearly but it also demands top of the line components/filters to work properly.

Something is up with your blue I have both the red and blue and the. Blue has more detail then the red espically in vocals seperation and high frequency detail

In base all'ascolto con Sennheiser Momentum, vale la pena passare direttamente dalla Red alla Black. Le intermedie ne carne ne pesce, forse più educate della Red ma anche meno coinvolgenti.
Per quello che vale (poco) un ascolto fatto così...
dici bene, solo che la red costa 99€ e la black 599€. notevole differenza.....per chi non vuol spendere piu' soldi sulla testina che sul giradischi, c'e il compromesso della blue che per me è migliore della bronze.
certo che i volumi di registrazione sono completamente diversi, la red è quella che si avvicina di più alla black... le altre due sembra abbiamo meno db almeno 1,7 in meno... non è possibile paragonarle così...
I volumi di registrazione non incidono, in quanto a variare è solo la testina e nessun altro componente e/o settaggio nella catena di registrazione. Le differenze che senti dipendono ESCLUSIVAMENTE dalle caratteristiche intrinseche delle testine. È accuratamente spiegato nella descrizione di tutti questi video.
sarebbe utile anche una lettura di alcune tracce interne cosi da far notare l'incapacità della red di tracciare, dove invece la blue, estrae dettagli senza la minima distorsione
Mi trovo d’accordo anche io con il parere generale che la sfida se la giocano la red e la black, magari la blue e la bronze sono fatte per un altro tipo di musica, magari jazz o classica? Le trovo anche io più piatte, soprattutto la bronze. Ho fatto l’ascolto con delle cuffie Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 32ohm.

Eh... Con questa canzone si sente la pulizia della Black.... Altro livello.
Ma la blue rimane la mia preferita... Perdona un pó di più la non perfetta pulizia del disco o la vetustà del vinile.

Rimango della mia idea: il vero confronto è tra red e black, il resto è tempo e soldi persi. La vera domanda è: conviene spendere 600 euro per la black quando la red con 110 suona già molto bene?
Di Confine conviene se hai risparmiato anche sull’amplificatore e sui diffusori. Dato che è sempre la somma che fa il totale, alla fine si otterrà un suono qualitativamente inferiore ad un impianto ottimizzato al top. Sicuramente la red si adatta alla maggior parte delle persone che ascoltano senza pretese audiofile.
Aggiungerei che Di Confine ha risparmiato anche sulle cuffie. Anche considerando quello che rende il tubo l’evidenza è palese fin dal passaggio dalla red alla blue.
la red suona bene nelle tracce esterne; la blue è molto piu trasparente, detragliata e grazie allo stilp ellittico nudo distorce molto meno

I can't handle the tracking on the 'S' sounds on the Red. It's only marginally better on the Blue but I can't afford the Black.....

Niet twijfelen! In het echt is de Blue duidelijk beter, ik heb zelf een paar weken geleden de upgrade gedaan en ben er héél blij mee!

Black is the best in my opinion, but the second place belongs to…. Red. Moreover the difference between red and black is not so huge, especially comparing the pricess. That’s the choice of my ears.

Blue sounds a tad more vibrant than Red as far as vocals go but sounds a bit less vibrant on the instruments.
The biggest difference between them to me is Blue to Bronze.

Over all I think Bronze would be my choice. My turntable came with the Blue but I have Red also.
Wow. The black is IMO hands above the rest. While the blue is more expensive than the red, I can't believe how muddy it sounds compared to the less expensive red. I have a red, which I like. It can be bassy at times.
