Nice footage and cool old reel. They are solid made, I picked up a few recently that need work. Hope to get down to the shore next spring to test them out 🎣
Penn's dont seem to be very comon in my area (NW), but I recently picked up a Dam Quick Super at a flea market which looks to be very similar. I'm going to try using it for salmon, even though its probably overkill.
@@saxtonoutdoors For sure, my oldest reel is a Mitchell 300 from the mid 50's. It doesnt even have a model number on it, because at that time Mitchell only made one model... I still fish it regularly, it still does its job.
Very nice video

I hate when people place music but this is good music. I feel like I'm sipping wine on a veranda in Italy or Croatia
More Penn & thats a great hat!
Fabulous sunset video & great music
Thank You. There will be more of the old Penn on the channel.
I still use my old greenie to this day i love them
Awesome! Good to hear others are still in use. Great reels.
@saxtonoutdoors can you catch striper on these how big of a fish can you catch with it
I got an old 704 in amazing shape for cheap a few months ago. They’re super cool! Can’t wait to put it to use this next trip to the beach
That's awesome! They are built like tanks and meant to be fished not collect dust on the shelf.

It's just fun fishing with the vintage stuff, stuff that was built to last. I couldn't imagine a modern reel lasting 30+ years.
