Big problem with PE was the time crunch. 45 minute long period and you're expected to change into a gym uniform, then go workup a sweat doing whatever. Then the gym teacher would dismiss you with less than 5 minutes left in the period to change and get to your next class. You were also expected to shower during this time. None of us wanted to shower in front of eachother at the best of times. Giving us no time to do it was just the excuse we needed. Of course that created its own problems.
"You stink." "Well I just came from gym class." "That's no excuse!"
*Shower at the end of gym class.* "Why are you late to my class!?" "I was taking a shower after gym so I wouldn't stink." "That's no excuse!"
*Don't actually exercise during gym class so I won't work up a sweat and stink.* "If you don't start putting in more effort I'm going to fail you!" "But I don't have time to shower and I'll stink for the rest of the day." "That's no excuse!"
School sucked.
