  • Lakers need to upgrade the roster and Free agency is one outlet. Lakers News has not been buzzing this offseason as the Lakers Trade hasn't happened and no moves in free agency yet. Lakers really need to do something and a guy like Isaac Okoro would be a great pick up for Lakers Nation.

The Lakers need a rim protecting big at center. They also need a 3 and wing at small forward as a back up

Lakers got their man at the end of the draft. They don't need anyone else. Ain't NO ONE can help this team win.

Isaac okoro is our max Christie to the Cavs. He’s actually ahead in playing production but the Cavs don’t value him the same as we value Christie.

okoro has 11.8m contract if no one gonna sign him more than this contract he will likely pick it up. lakers getting okoro is so slim

@@truckerstar24 maybe in the future he will be better but dude is just an ok piece, just a guy at this point. The idea he will be one of the greatest 3-D guys in the league is a complete stretch based off of “flashes” aka nothing

@@bigballer6666 he will be. means in the future. Like compare to the good 3-D guys like KCP, Gary Harris, etc he’s ahead of them when they were 23. So it’s not about flashes.

The Lakers have to develop players because stars don’t want to play for a front office led by LeBron

  • @TheTyree72

Pretty clear no one wants to play with LBJ and his son. No one wants to be the scapegoat.

I definitely believe that is part of it.
Lakers fans are not helping matters by being so negative about everyone that plays with Bron and maybe i shouldn't say Lakers fans, but fans of LeBron James.
We saw it with Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, KCP, Dennis Schroeder, Marc Gasol, Melo, Russ, AD, D Lo, and now we see it with AR....
No one is good enough to play next to Bron....😂
Could those players have been better in a Lakers uniform?
      100%
I think players want to feel like it's a team that loses together and not just a specific player or two that is to blame, or the head coach.
Plus there are financial issues as well.
Once The Lakers decided on Bron and AD as their dynamic duo, it was going to be hard to keep a strong team around them due to cap constraints and how AD was acquired....
They had some quality young depth at the time but preparing for Bron's free agency and either Kawhi's free agency or a potential AD trade meant clearing cap space and depleting the depth chart.
I still believe The Lakers are fine if they continue to be smart as a front office.
They got one championship out of their duo and that's about where every front office is right now.
I think give it to the trade deadline, see where things stand and monitor Bron's demeanor. If things seem sour and he seems unhappy with the roster and the head coach, trade him to his preferred destination, which i believe would be either Dallas or back home to Cleveland.
Then if AD is healthy, sell high on AD while his value is high....
Stay on course to get younger and try to get some future assets.
Let Coach Reddick have 5-7 years building a program and let him grow into the job.
If things are going well near the trade deadline then maybe sacrifice and go for broke.....one more title would be awesome!
