I just recently went to their concert! J-pop and k-pop are really different, if you listen to them (not only language). Kpop has more of western influence in their songs, overall. There are some songs that arent of course. There was a show called Produce 48, which was a joint audition program for Japanese and Korean trainees. Japanese Trainees came to Korea, since this whole show was created in Korea. They came over and Korean trainees and Japanese trainees were both shocked, because of cultural difference in training for their singing career. One Japanese trainee said, in Japan, people don't really mind much if you cannot sing perfectly/or dance in sync. As long as you had cute 'charm', you can still gain popularity. On the other hand, Korean pop is strongly based on dancing in sync and singing in tune, since that's what most audience in Korea expects. Blackpink debuted in Japan too, but they were more appreciated in USA I think. But they are one of my favorite kpop group.

I broke my new iphone so im on my boyfriends account. The one was born in australia and raised in New Zealand. They all can speak multiple languages. The one from thailand doesnt speak English well but obviously the one born and raised in english speaking areas does it a lot in US interviews. They were the first kpop group to play Coachella this year. They played there twice. Amazing show. They auditioned to get into the recording company at 15 or 16. They spent years practicing twelve hours a day seven days a week. I think they had a day off every two weeks. Then monthly auditions where people were sent home. Their talents show. The main dude at their company just stole 17 million from their tour and gambled it away so who knows when they are releasing new music. Their contracts are iron tight. Kpop groups are way controlled. In public they are not ever alone.

Yeah, it's definite K-pop fam. ALSO, no - the story actually makes sense and is correlated at the base of the plot. A strong passionate love, addictive in a way you crave sweets and candy - but too much of it is bad for you. Actually It's really only been in the last few years that I've noticed that kpop companies have steered away from their usual matching outfits for their groups and let their artists show a more individualistic style

Blackpink isn't the first group to do it, but they were surely a big force in Individualizing the style of the girls instead of having them be so blended in. For example another great girl group called Red Velvet had super matching outfits in their song Russian Roulette back in (2016). Later on in their song Bad Boy (2018) they were a lot more distinguishable in their styles and fans loved it. One other Major girlgroup who also had the same thing going is Twice! To be fair, though, Lisa is a great actress and plays each part, and look, quite differently.
Jennie speaks english fluently, Rosé's english is native(born in New Zeland, grew up in Australia and God bless her beautiful aussie accent), Lisa speaks english fluently too and Jisoo understands english very well, but she isn't confident to speak english. Our girls are amazing, talented and funny! They're another level!

I just really love how the story of the Mv flows,like, Jennie and Lisa( the girls in eng. rap parts) tries to become more stronger and leave the love behind as they want to move on. They killed their soft inner self. While Rosé( the girl in the car / clover leaf) and Jisoo( has a background of pupil/ princess thingy) trying to kill their soft inner self as they want to move on. I just recently went to their concert! J-pop and k-pop are really different, if you listen to them (not only language). Kpop has more of western influence in their songs, overall. There are some songs that arent of course.
There was a show called Produce 48, which was a joint audition program for Japanese and Korean trainees. Japanese Trainees came to Korea, since this whole show was created in Korea. They came over and Korean trainees and Japanese trainees were both shocked, because of cultural difference in training for their singing career. One Japanese trainee said, in Japan, people don't really mind much if you cannot sing perfectly/or dance in sync. As long as you had cute 'charm', you can still gain popularity. On the other hand, Korean pop is strongly based on dancing in sync and singing in tune, since that's what most audience in Korea expects.
Blackpink debuted in Japan too, but they were more appreciated in USA I think. But they are one of my favorite kpop group.

I broke my new iphone so im on my boyfriends account. The one was born in australia and raised in New Zealand. They all can speak multiple languages. The one from thailand doesnt speak English well but obviously the one born and raised in english speaking areas does it a lot in US interviews. They were the first kpop group to play Coachella this year. They played there twice. Amazing show.
They auditioned to get into the recording company at 15 or 16. They spent years practicing twelve hours a day seven days a week. I think they had a day off every two weeks. Then monthly auditions where people were sent home. Their talents show.
The main dude at their company just stole 17 million from their tour and gambled it away so who knows when they are releasing new music. Their contracts are iron tight. Kpop groups are way controlled. In public they are not ever alone.

Yeah, it's definite K-pop fam. ALSO, no - the story actually makes sense and is correlated at the base of the plot. A strong passionate love, addictive in a way you crave sweets and candy - but too much of it is bad for you. The love is so strong that you gravitate hard and fall into it, the bads are awfully painful and the highs are exhilarating. They then need to kill that unhealthy love and those old thoughts/habits that still keep you clinging to it, (the whole car scene Rosé was in) battle behind your Ego and conscious mind. :3 (it sort of is like that)

Actually It's really only been in the last few years that I've noticed that kpop companies have steered away from their usual matching outfits for their groups and let their artists show a more individualistic style

@@thenogoodpodcast1008 Not so much for Blackpink, but yeah, for many Kpop groups their companies usually had them in super similar outfits if they weren't already copy-pasted outfits. Blackpink isn't the first group to do it, but they were surely a big force in Individualizing the style of the girls instead of having them be so blended in.
For example another great girl group called Red Velvet had super matching outfits in their song Russian Roulette back in (2016).
Later on in their song Bad Boy (2018) they were a lot more distinguishable in their styles and fans loved it.
One other Major girlgroup who also had the same thing going is Twice!
Twice - "Cheer up" (2016) for their similar styles
Twice - "Heart shaker" (2018) for their differences mixed with similarities
Another example I have for stylistic differences would be another group Gugudan - "The Boots" for their similar styles
Gugudan - "Not That Type" for their individual styles
*Big note that these outfits are usually planned by the Companies of the respective Kpop groups.

They showcase each ones talents. The theme is the same throughout. Its about abusive and toxic relationships. And that they must kill their weaker self and become stronger...before it destroys themselves! Its Korean hence k-pop. However only 1 girl has a classic korean upbringing. 2 are basically from Australia and the last is from Thailand. Her dad is caucasian n went to English schools.

Best vocal line ever Byun Baekhyun, Do Kyungsoo and Kim Jongdae aka Chen, good rappers Park Chanyeol and Oh Sehun- they can also sing, best dancer in the whole wide world Kim Jongin aka Kai, best group leader Kim Junmyeon aka Suho.
